  1. I simply don't want to work with someone who expects me to get up at 3 o'clock in the morning to cater to their demands. It's not healthy or professional.
  2. How interesting! In a short time and before coffee, the only things I could come up with are the four (or more) elements, four cardinal directions, and the five senses... although I'm not sure what you could do with those! They're not on the same wavelength as the ones you chose. Are you looking specifically from religious mythology?
  3. Why did your account get deleted? Did Fiverr disable it or did you do it yourself? If the first, you aren't allowed to make another account. If the latter, how many of the top tips from TRS that share on the forum have you followed already? Do not contact Fiverr support just because you haven't attracted buyers yet. They are not going to give you orders.
  4. It's true. I twisted my ankle last year and couldn't dance much and my orders dwindled rapidly. I'd cry if I had 100 orders in queue. That's way too many for the services I offer. It's not about numbers. It's about improving until you reach what you can handle and the income you want. Don't compare to others numbers. Compare your yesterday to your today.
  5. Report as spam. I think a few buyers who do this simply don't know they're not allowed to and prefer to communicate elsewhere. Many probably want your contact information for their own list-building spamming purposes. Someone recently insulted me and suggested I wanted children to die because I wouldn't call him on the phone. Some people are just awful.
  6. That could be part of it. Also, Word does everything I need it to, so there's really no reason to use anything else.
  7. How about if the number of allowed extensions was a feature of the gig packages? Therefore, a larger gig package could allow for 2-3 extensions and smaller ones could not. Of course, I'm not sure why any seller would purposefully allow extensions. We deserve to get paid within a reasonable amount of time... Maybe ignore that suggestion. There has to be a limit. Allowing buyers to press a button and get an extension ad infinitum is blatant seller punishment for no wrongdoing.
  8. Do you really think there is one secret tip or shortcut to building a successful business? That is what you are trying to do here by offering services to clients. So much learning, effort, and time goes into building a business. Besides, your question about cheating to get fake reviews just revealed you as an unscrupulous seller... a scammer. Why would anyone buy from you? No, adding a gig to Favorites has no affect on its success. All your posts on the forum are about gaming the system... trying to find tricks or secrets to make this work. Maybe concentrate on quality business practices instead.
  9. No. As Max3dmodel clearly posted direct from the Fiverr Help files, you can only use those URLs/platforms for your portfolio here.
  10. Someone clicked on my gig and ordered an article for $5. Everything was $5 back when I started (a few months after Fiverr launched). I wrote the article, delivered it, and got paid. That's the amazing story of my first order. Actually, I don't remember it... but I'm sure that's how it went. I wonder how exciting these stories could actually get? I mean... isn't this how most people get orders without prior contact?
  11. My family makes this chicken and mushroom thing with all sorts of yummy herbs and enough garlic to scare off vampires. We always make it when the weather starts to get colder. For everyday eating during the autumn and winter, it has to be soup for me, too! I'm fond of thick, chunky homemade soups with lots of roast vegetables.
  12. I just took a look at your proofreading gig and found a few grammar and spelling errors. It's important to impress potential buyers with your skills. Buyer Requests are being phased out in favor of Briefs, so make sure you use that when it's available to you.
  13. From what I can tell from a quick search of PayPal, if you do not claim the money (You can't, since you don't have access to PayPal), the payment will reverse in time. It should come back here. I would absolutely contact Customer Support and ask if that happens here. I have no idea how long it would take.
  14. The message I sent has a tiny "This message relates to your brief" at the bottom with the last two words linked to the brief. There is no other indication on any of the back and forth messages.
  15. Mine have gotten much better and more targeted in the past week. I always tended to ignore them when I had a full schedule or they didn't match my services. Lately, I've been dealing with them more directly. It does help. One question... when we send the requestor a message, does Fiverr clearly display that it is a response to a brief? I wonder if I can skip my "I got a brief from you and..." part of the message (not the actual words I use!)
  16. Is it possible that the characters/designs infringed on copyright in some way? Random guess and not accusation!
  17. Thank you for pointing this out! I delivered something about an hour ago and it appeared to go through. I'll double check things. Ugh! I don't need extra stress.
  18. Some days I get 10+ scam, spam, and "Hi" with nothing else messages.
  19. The second Milestone only start when the buyer accepts the first one. Unfortunately, it sounds like the person is trying to scam you into doing extra work they're not paying for. Don't give in.
  20. Agh! This type of thing is scary. I hope they fix it soon. I'm sure they will.
  21. How frustrating. All my subscription orders appear on my dashboard as Inactive on the bottom until the buyer decides to fill in the info. Unfortunately, some of them seem to forget or change their mind and I'm left with multiple inactives. I certainly hope CS figures this out quickly for you.
  22. First of all, your portfolio link is not in the approved gig description platforms (https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360011421218-Gig-policies), so I would change that asap. If I had to start my time at Fiverr now when things are much more competitive, I would probably keep my prices quite low for a while and gradually increase over time. However, if you have an existing client base off-Fiverr and an established presence as a writer, you could direct them here (There's a BYOB -- bring your own buyer -- system that reduces fees to them, I believe) for a discount off your regular prices. That could help establish you name here. Of course, you may not want to do that if you're making more off-platform. This probably isn't very helpful. The only thing I would definitively suggest is to not price yourself too low. $5 prices will attract bad buyers and scammers more.
  23. How do you do email and social media marketing, landing page design (which encompasses many marketing strategies), and promote affiliate, ecommerce, and other products? That is what you are offering to people. I'm sure you can use many of those same techniques to market your own online business here. Asking how to promote yourself on Fiverr is akin to telling everyone you do not know how to provide the services you are trying to sell here.
  24. All my days blend into each other. I don't take any days completely off unless I happen to have a lull in my work or I burn out and simply need some down time.
  25. Thanks, Vickie. I'm very eager for this!
