  1. I wasn't aware Fiverr allowed conversations via WhatsApp. (I really don't think they do.) Asking you to break a rule should have been the only red flag you needed that this wasn't a quality buyer. Forgive me if I'm wrong about WhatsApp, though.
  2. Well, I'd rather not pay to work here, but I do think it's a viable idea. It has the potential to boost Fiverr reputation, which is unfortunately rather horrible out there in the real world (Don't smite me for saying so, Fiverr!) A better reputation would help all the quality sellers.
  3. Exploring options on the new forum.

  4. Do the videos have captions and transcripts now? I thought it was a good idea even without these new features, but couldn’t participate.
  5. From a completely mercenary standpoint, these messages also decrease our average hourly wage. Service-related freelancing only pays for work completed, not answering messages. If, as Visualstudios said above, that message provides value to me, it is (or can be) profitable in some way, even if not monetary. Otherwise, it hurts income.
  6. Fiverr is not your employer. I highly doubt they’d give recommendation letter to anyone.
  7. Information that might be helfpul that I didn’t see elsewhere. If you ask Support to cancel your subscription, which seems to be the only way to do it right now, they cancel your membership immediately and you don’t get the full amount of time you paid for. Edited to Add: I posted this so people can time their cancellation requests better if they decide to do that.
  8. Your post makes perfect sense. It’s a shift from perceived relevance/importance (SEO, reviews, etc.) to actual, real, live relevance/importance (happy buyers = more sales = more money for Fiverr). If this is happening – and I think it should – then it could have very positive longer-term effects on Fiverr’s public reputation, too. Bonus for high-quality sellers.
  9. I recently used OOO for almost two months due to a health issue. I almost didn’t get back in time to keep my 60-day ranking high enough. Yikes! The gig ranking did disappear, but didn’t take too long to come back. It took about one week this time for orders to start rolling in again. Best wishes to you!
  10. Quick followup: my Seller Plus Manager was perfectly fine with alternate forms of contact besides Zoom meetings. I’m eagerly waiting to see what this is all about. This is the impression I got, too. I am a TRS and usually get regular orders. (I’m recently back from an extended OOO, and things have slowed down.) I’m curious how it will all work.
  11. I’m not sure if I was dense and just didn’t notice it on the sign-up page that described the program or if this information wasn’t there, but SP seems to consist of some un-captioned videos and Zoom calls with the expert. As these things aren’t accessible to me, I’m in the process of requesting a refund on the first month and, if they won’t do that, cancellation for future months. Again, it could have been my error, but there wasn’t all that much information about what the program actually entails before you sign up and pay.
  12. Oh, that’s unfortunate. Is it only by phone?
  13. I’m actually very pro Fiverr making money. I’d like to see the platform make as much money as possible. It increases the likelihood of Fiverr being around for a long time, and there’s more money to invest in the platform, marketing etc. We generate a lot of money for Fiverr, and pump a decent amount of that back through Promoted Gigs etc, and so long as I can see a value in doing so, I’m fine with that. I’m just hoping that the focus in these endeavours remains on providing real, tangible benefits to sellers, and not just finding ways of generating more cash. As others have said, there’s a coaching element here, which could be worth it’s weight in gold, it all depends on what the Success Managers can bring to the table. There’s going to be a lot of pressure on those guys to show their value. $29 a month to get access to a Fiverr-insider who can really pinpoint what’s working and what’s not with our profile? That feature on it’s own would be enough to interest me. If they share some information that brings in one order for us that we wouldn’t otherwise have got, they’ve paid for themselves for the month. Sign me up. But I do also agree with those who have said that they take issue with the ‘pay to play’ model for things like Fiverr’s Choice, Rising Talent etc. There’s no way around it, other than to say that’s grossly unfair to some users of the platform, especially those to whom $29 is a lot of money. Surely Fiverr’s Choice and Rising Talent should be placed on gigs irrespective of whether they’re a ‘paid member’ or not? I’m conflicted - but I would sign up, if given the option. If you can’t beat em… Oh, absolutely. I just think that making money by attracting high-quality sellers and thus high-quality buyers who eagerly purchase here and recommend the platform is a better way to make money than through loaning sellers money or selling them services. This service may be fantastic. I hope it is! I want to take part and check it out. It could result in the changes from my first sentence. It’s semantics, I guess. I want Fiverr’s focus to be on improving buyer and seller experience – for quality professional sellers – and not on making money for profit’s sake. This very much makes it sound like it wouldn’t be of use to TRS or those who have already found success here. Is that an accurate assumption? It sounds a bit like guidance through the TOS and FAQ.
  14. I’m interested. Very curious about the overall experience and what true benefits it would have for established sellers. I agree. Promoted gigs, this, and the ‘advanced payment’ loan option. They’re all about Fiverr making more money. Of course, a company needs to make money, but the trend is disturbing. In my opinion, reputation management would go MUCH further to improving Fiverr’s profit margins than charging sellers more money. Still, the outcome of programs like this remains to be seen. I could be completely wrong.
  15. USA, UK, Canada, Australia, China, then the Ukraine.
  16. I haven’t worked outside the house in over a decade. The last holiday party I was forced to go to for work ended up with my boss bullying me and another woman into singing the Twelve Days of Christmas in front of everyone. I’ll stay home and just keep working, thanks!
  17. 35% for me. I have all of Europe except Portugal, Bosnia, Serbia, and Norway. It’s fun to track this.
  18. It’s all automatic flagging at the start. I used to say things like “… not allowed to link to outside work” and occasionally got put under review. It cleared up right away because, obviously, I’m not breaking the rules. I’m a bit paranoid about losing my account here, so I find other ways to say things. My schedule is full, Fiverr requires only on-site information, etc.
  19. This could very well be it. I do this semi-frequently when I’m overbooked. Vacation Mode just means I’m not taking any new orders for a day or two. Unless the seller doesn’t deliver, I wouldn’t worry about it at all.
  20. Like others mentioned here, I also have a Fiverr-approved portfolio with just a few samples of different types of writing on it that I do share if a potential client asks. Very few ask. I do explain that due to TOS and confidentiality, I will never share outside or actual client work with them. I suppose some may consider I copy-pasted the articles from elsewhere, though I’m sure the intelligent ones can check easily. I’ve never had a problem with this before. To each their own.
