people who go to someone's profile and react to everything they've ever posted

Are you giving us tips on how to stalk someone while praying to not get caught? On a forum of an international freelance platform? In the casual conversations section? In the topic about reacting to everything?

You didn't understood mockery.

1. Should we file a case on a person that reacts a lot ? Reactions are opinions, anyone can do, any type of they like.

I think its issue with settings, which disturbs. You can turn off notification for that.

But I don't think someone should be hanged in charge of reacting ? lol

2. Showing profile visitors feature questions privacy. Currently workaround, I mentioned in post.

I wonder why people struggle to find work in fiverr as a new seller.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Did you mean I'm cause for them ?

No one has an issue with anyone using reactions. We are talking about serial reactors. They are not reacting to the post because they liked what they read; they are reacting to increase their forum rank because some "Fiverr guru" told them that it would get them orders. I don't know about others forum members, but I like to see others reacting to my post when they find it useful, but because of these serial reactors, I had to turn off the notifications.

Who said that? Forum members who are fed up with receiving hundreds of notifications a day are simply discussing the issue and putting forth their opinions.

I don't really think the people who like every single post on the forum are worried about privacy.

Again settings are correct solution. Else you can't teach a newbie how and where to react.

Normally, yeah fiverr guru misguide. But don't worry, life has its own reward and punishment system. Every newbie on forum after sometime realizes reaction won't bring them orders. And they change their mind themselves.

About privacy, it varies. Some cares, some won't. Like there are several data breaches. Only few bother to care, but doesn't mean fiverr should ignore it. or better add this feature to fiverr.com as well, if its beneficial ? 😅

There must be a rule against that, @imagination7413!

Not in the current ruleset.  When the forums were hosted on Discourse, there was a limit to reactions a user could give, so it makes sense that no rule was needed. Now that the forum has migrated to Invision...

According to this, there is no setting to limit the number of reactions a user can make. (There is also no way that I can see to turn them off in the settings, or even disable a user from making them.)

Fiverr rules, though... hmm... under Product Abuse it states: "Product abuse on Fiverr is defined as any activity aimed to deliberately manipulate the platform tools and features for the sole purpose of personal gain." Under the 'Manipulation' section, there is this: "Any improper behavior aiming to manipulate Fiverr platform tools and systems does not align with Fiverr values and harms the entire Fiverr community." But the forum isn't connected to the Fiverr platform. We all know activity here doesn't carry.

It's extremely rude, inconsiderate, and annoying, disrupts user profiles, and makes people turn notifications off, but... *sigh* not against the rules as they are currently written. (The closest I could find, in the ToS: "Proprietary Restrictions [...] (iv) use automation software (bots), hacks, modifications (mods) or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the Site", but again, separate platform.)

You're completely right @imagination7413, as far as I'm aware there's no specific rule, but I wonder if we're in danger of 'rule lawyering' ourselves. Unless spamming 'likes' qualifies as spam. Anyway I don't think any decent user of the forum would think that this behavior / bot use is ok. I think the rules need updating.

Pulling @Lena@mjensen415 and @milos_siena in on this if that's ok to see what 'official Fiverr' think...

In the short term what would be the appropriate action to take for inappropriate forum use like this? Assuming you agree of course that a bot is in use and / or this behavior of serial liking posts for the sake of it is inappropriate. I don't want to be overzealous as I'm tempted to remove points down to 'rookie' or 'newbie', but this really isn't what we should expect from a 'Grand Master'. It really adds no value.

In the medium term perhaps we could also look to update the rules and even consider changing how the forum works re liking multiple things?

It's almost funny that the user in question is liking the posts that are critical of his bot use 😆

Thanks!

Are you saying @tanvir705 is using a bot to place an emoji on each and every post? There must be a rule against that, @imagination7413!

I'm 90% sure its bot. You see behavior is unhuman:

- almost no comment, reply, answer, question...

- always uses default emoji (depends on most used emoji. Suppose if "haha" emoji 10 and others are low, default will "haha". So he simply selecting that. Means it just click away that)

- react to all posts in a thread, Seen him on almost every post reacting. Yeah this bot looks to be manually started, so doesn't seems to run 24h

Rest 10%, it can be confirmed via time rate of reactions. I guess moderator has access to such logs. Check how much user is reacting in a minute ? Are there any gaps in mid ? Is that rate stable ? means its bot. If rate is irregular all time, means human.

Well tanvir is on a long break now. Untill he explains his actions... @grayprogrammerz It seems that when he is online, he uses whatever he uses to react to everything. Also you need to know that Matt Jensen is no longer with the forum staff. It is true that newbies often think that reacting will get them somewhere, and we get newbies every day more and more. Probably the only solution would be to have a daily limit, but also to identify any AI activity. For example, chatGPT is a spamming "new wave". These users will get severe penalties, and us moderators will talk to the higher ranking staff members about this. We don't have every option that an administrator has, and as I said, Matt is not here anymore.

@seomoznu_rank    You're an SEO specialist that had to use chatGPT to reply to an SEO question?  Yet, you claim to be fluent in English?  So I can only assume that your knowledge isn't as good as you make out on your gigs

Oh! and you left the 'regenerate response' text at the bottom of your reply?

here could be several reasons why your gigs are not ranking on Fiverr. Here are a few possible reasons:

  1. Lack of optimization: Your gigs may not be optimized for search engines. You need to use relevant keywords in your gig title, tags, , and even in your gig images. This will help potential clients find your gigs when they search for relevant services.

  2. Low ratings and reviews: If you have low ratings and reviews, it could affect your ranking on Fiverr. Clients are more likely to order services from freelancers with higher ratings and positive reviews. Make sure you provide high-quality services and ask your clients to leave a review.

  3. High competition: If you offer services in a highly competitive category, it can be difficult to rank on Fiverr. You can try to differentiate yourself from your competitors by offering something unique or focusing on a specific niche.

  4. Violation of Fiverr's policies: If you have violated Fiverr's policies, your gigs may not appear in search results. Make sure you follow Fiverr's rules and guidelines to avoid any issues.

  5. Inactive gigs: If your gigs are not active, they will not rank in search results. Make sure your gigs are active and available for potential clients to order.

These are some of the reasons why your gigs may not be ranking on Fiverr. Evaluate your gigs and make the necessary changes to improve your ranking and attract more clients.

This is a burger and it is much better tasting than a SPAM sandwich.

Am I the only person on this Forum that loves SPAM? (The meat of course, not the annoying requests for work)   It's delicious 😀

In the UK it's really expensive and is kind of a treat to have now we're in a cost of living crisis.

Spam Sushi anyone ?  😀
