  1. Maybe. Or a few more. Maybe there could be a sitemap type thing that could be counted to give a total of active ones (since it would probably need to make the search engines know about those). If that was allowed.
  2. It doesn't seem to be millions though. Fiverr haven't said there are millions of active sellers/sellers with an active gig. There are millions of buyers. In February 22, 2023 for their Q4 2022 Earnings call Fiverr said: This page: https://www.marketingscoop.com/small-business/fiverr-statistics/ (from November 2023 so there's probably more now but not that much more - and they're probably talking about sellers with at least one gig):. They might have got that number from one of Fiverr's IPO documents - they said something about it there (but they talked about active sellers and their definition of it was something like those who have been active/sold something in the last year). says:
  3. In their letter refusing copyright to an image called "Théâtre D’opéra Spatial", the copyright review board of the US copyright office said: thought the person who created the image using Midjourney + later editing etc. whose work was later refused copyright didn't let them know what prompts were used so they couldn't make a decision about whether they were sufficiently creative. It might have been able to be copyrightable by the US copyright office if edited if the person is willing to "to disclaim the AI-generated material" (based on that letter of theirs - if the AI generated part is more than minimal). Though I don't think it makes clear how that's supposed to be done (eg. are people supposed to show an image of what the AI created + their edited version + descriptions of what they did?). Fiverr should really put something on their site, including for buyers in the AI generated content section explaining the copyright situation since it doesn't really mention that on the main site (except for in the community standards page but that doesn't mention that AI generated content can't be copyrighted (in the US). I'd thought it could with sufficient human changes but maybe it's just the edits that can be copyrighted. The copyright office also reference a quote saying: but surely there could be just as much or more creative control in AI art generation as some other types. eg. someone taking a photo of wildlife doesn't have much control over what's happening and if someone threw paint at a canvas that painting would be copyrightable but the painter didn't have full control over where each paint droplet went. Whereas with AI you have some control, eg. you should often be able to recreate it if knowing the full parameters used including the random number seed. You could also guide it more than just entering prompts. And since AI content could be used somewhere in the process of delivering an order in sections other than the AI section of the site, and Fiverr changed the terms to say buyers must specify if they don't want it used instead of the seller disclosing if it is used, Fiverr should really put more info about it if it will affect the copyright of the buyer's finished work.
  4. Like was said, you could have gone to unavailable mode or paused a gig if you weren't available. Though if there was another reason that you didn't want to do his project (eg. if there might be a copyright/trademark reason or technical reason) you could have let him know that so might have reacted differently. eg. an Iron Man video that was not a parody might have been a copyright/trademark problem.
  5. We really need this function as seller (and it might help buyers too). eg. a Buyer can write lots of messages about a project (or potential project) 1, 2, 3, etc. then come back talking more about project 1. It would be a lot easier to find the relevant info about the particular project they were speaking again about if the inbox messages could be in the relevant sub-folder that's about that particular project.
  6. I don't know of one. You can press to re-deliver but it might keep the existing one too. If you want the existing one deleted you could try creating a support ticket and asking CS if it can be done (if they can). If it was just a mistake that you noticed within a file that was still meant for that buyer (or maybe you re-delivered the 2nd revision when you meant to deliver the 3rd revision) and not something more serious like delivering someone else's file to them then you could just quickly re-deliver with the right one (maybe messaging them first saying you'll do that).
  7. If you check the Fiverr TOS at https://www.fiverr.com/legal-portal/legal-terms/terms-of-service it says: So if anyone asks you to contact them on Telegram or some other off-site way then don't. All payment must be through Fiverr too. You can let them know all contact must be on Fiverr or report them if it seems a definite scam.
  8. You said "I delivered both parts, each one day apart". Did you deliver the first part using the "deliver" button? If so, at that time (before the 2nd part) Fiverr could have counted it as a partial delivery because the 2nd part wasn't also delivered then. They shouldn't have minded if you showed what the first part was like in a post on the order page if you wanted to show the work in progress, but when you press the deliver button if the order was for 2 parts then Fiverr would expect both parts to be attached (or linked to if not able to attach) in that delivery.
  9. Updating about my post above - according to Kesha's post on her profile they still haven't "solidified any plans" for the clubs yet and they're still closed (even though the options for "clubs" and "post a club" are enabled right now). But they're still exploring ways to revisit clubs.
  10. In their chart "supporting sellers on Fiverr's platform" shows slightly higher than "supporting buyers on Fiverr's platform" (in "importance to stakeholders" and to "business strategy") but a buyer can go to CS and CS will cancel multiple of their seller's orders that the buyer had reviewed and given good reviews to (eg. if the buyer has an issue with another potential order). CS doesn't seem to be doing what their chart says is important.
  11. @Kesha

is there any updates on the forum clubs as the clubs option on the forum is enabled again and the "create a club" option is enabled. Is it still disallowed to create a club even though that option is now enabled? Does that returned "Clubs" option and returned "Create a club" option mean that staff are working on clubs updates that might show soon?

    1. Kesha

      Kesha

Hi there. Clubs remain currently closed on the forum. Rest assured however that we are still actively exploring ways to revisit the concept of social clubs. We have not yet solidified any plans but I will be sure to update the community as soon as we do. Thanks!

    2. webcut

      webcut

I just curious about it also. Thanks both of you to make it attention.

  12. Does it mean anything that the "clubs" menu option has returned even though there are no clubs shown there and that there's an option there for "start a club" that is enabled? Before (when this thread was created) they'd removed the "clubs" menu option/tab. Could this mean they could soon be re-instating some clubs or adding new ones?
  13. If you entered your card details on their fake site they might have your main card details though still. It could be worth speaking to your bank about it (maybe putting a hold on the card if so?).
  14. Click the lightning icon at the bottom of the inbox page - the same one used for quick responses. After you press it, the last option in the menu is "set auto reply". And after clicking that there you can enable/disable it. For most of the time I haven't used it because it's not unique enough. You can't set a response if the buyer has messaged after going to a particular gig and you can't make it based on the message text they've sent. I only this year enabled it because Fiverr's email notifications weren't working so I was sending very late responses - and Fiverr probably was suggesting I create one. First. I basically said I'd get back to them as soon as I can and mentioned that problem (but when it worked I took it out). Mine probably isn't good as it's not been successful. But I put in basically "Hello. Thanks for your message. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. " and then mentioned they could leave details about what they require/references for the sort of thing they want etc, but saying "(if applicable)" as on some gigs the won't be needed. That's one reason why it would be better if we could make more specific responses instead of just 1. So I might remove it later as it probably isn't worded that well/might not really be helping. eg. if they get that message and then I respond soon after. Maybe it would also be better if it could be set up to only send it during certain hours when you'd be less likely to respond quickly.
  15. It wouldn't be allowed by forum rules, which say: You could leave a public review if on the main site if it will let you (on one of the past orders), giving your side of the story - but sellers probably won't see it if it's not on their profile. If one of their messages was against the TOS you could report it with the report option at the top of the message. Then it would probably get looked at by the trust & safety team rather than CS.
  16. It's probably worth contacting CS about it like I said. Show the proof of what you did for each of the cancelled orders, try to get refunded for the cancelled orders and try to get the warning removed since it was done incorrectly. Maybe explain about the buyer being unreasonable in what they were asking in the inbox about a potential new order and that that was why you decided against continuing with them about the potential new order.
  17. What did you do then? Deliver something or cancel? If he kept on asking for changes lots of times you could change the "unlimited revisons" part of your gig(s). Have a fixed amount. Having unlimited ones will just make them want to keep changing their mind lots of times. You could contact CS about this is if multiple orders have been incorrectly cancelled/refunded and show them proof that you did the work that was in each order, and see if they'll remove the warning.
  18. As well as the fact the TOS doesn't seem to mention any rule about not being allowed to go to other countries, Fiverr's own blog has multiple freelancer articles like "Tips on Living A Nomadic Lifestyle" so surely Fiverr shouldn't also be disallowing people from travelling to a different country and then using their Fiverr account? But if Fiverr is basing the checks on IP address and issuing suspensions if the country seems to change, what is it Fiverr doing if the IP address changes automatically by their ISP when their router gets reset/switched on and it gives it an IP address that makes it seem like the user is many miles from their actual location? eg. someone in one country in the UK could seem like they're in a different country in the UK based on what's shown in sites like "what is my IP address" then when it resets it could change again? Is it based on assumed distance travelled & time if based on the IP address or is it also/mainly based on geo-location info from mobile phones and that used for issuing the suspensions if it changes countries?
  19. Could that send potentially confidential stuff from the buyer to those companies? And could any of that get used for training their next AIs (or is it that with the paid ChatGPT that doesn't train on the info?). Could it be done on a local AI that didn't send their details to the companies? Though maybe Fiverr doesn't mind. There's stuff in the TOS about confidentiality but that's mostly about info posted on the order page, eg: Though if CS says it's okay it will be okay with the rules.
  20. If someone flagged the gig for copyright they'd look into it. They don't seem to have an automatic flag for it. If it was a very unique title they might do something about it if reported to them/flagged. But there are over a hundred gigs called "I will do modern minimalist logo design" so they're probably not going to do anything if someone creates a general/common gig like that I think. There are only so many ways to say some things. They're more likely to check (if reported etc.) gig description copying. This page: https://www.fiverr.com/community/standards/integrity-authenticity says: It is prohibited to: Fiverr's TOS at https://www.fiverr.com/legal-portal/legal-terms/terms-of-service does say:
  21. They might be testing which converts better, getting more clicks/orders (rounding it to 1 dp or 2 etc.), by doing A/B tests with different groups of people. They could also try making the scores out of 10 instead of 5 and allowing reviewers to be more precise (and doubling the existing individual scores). Though people might be more used to ratings of 1 to 5.
  22. Never communicate off Fiverr as it's against the TOS. If you go to your Fiverr dashboard page and reload the page it will show you if there are any orders. If there are none there you have no orders. Fiverr order numbers have letters and numbers (eg. order number #FO7181D0D7785). That order number has just numbers so seems fake.
  23. Isn't that screenshot with the message "especially not spam" showing the options next to your message not the buyer's message. If you hover at the top of the buyer's message it should show the 3 dots for the menu with the mark as spam/report option. Though the help says "You can only block buyers who have previously placed an order with you.".
  24. It seems like that. fiverr-ds on that site (listed as company) has 2 members Yuval Bz and Ron Tomer. Yuval Ben-Zion is Data Science Team Leader at Fiverr according to Fiverr's blog in 2019 and Ron also works at Fiverr as a data scientist. Though that doesn't mean they're going to release AI stuff publicly there. They might just use that site for helping with Fiverr stuff. Fiverr also seems to have an official github page where they public release code.
  25. I guessed video in this thread: but I guessed they'd create the video based on still images using an existing thing (eg. if something like Sora gets released. Though there are others like Runway's Gen 2). I doubt Fiverr would have the resources to create their own AI video model (unless maybe if it was over someone else's existing one). I think when they said "If you are passionate about driving innovation with AI, GenAI, ML, and NLP" in the job listing it's at least partly talking about generating text (like ChatGPT). Maybe it's for the AI assistants like Neo but not just for buyers, as well as analysing text (eg. could be for checking text in posts on the order page and Fiverr inbox for various things to score the seller on, detect fraud etc.). They might use that many now, though it could also be lower. If they're now using TensorFlow ranking - that can handle millions. 2 years ago Fiverr support said "The algorithm includes more than 50 variables, and one of them is the Gig ranking.". Fiverr's article about feature selection from 2019 (https://medium.com/fiverr-engineering/feature-selection-beyond-feature-importance-9b97e5a842f) said: though it's not clear what that AI model was used for (whether it was part of the search ranking or something else). In Fiverr's "detecting suspicous purchases" Youtube video at 23:28 when they're doing model evaluation they show a waterfall plot with features (9+"37 other features"=so 46 features total for that)
