  1. They might want to create additional deliveries that the buyer could choose from for an additional fee on to of the current order fee, where it created one or more variations on what we deliver. eg. adding "fixes" or different variations in style or other "unique" things. eg. "You ordered a logo or illustration. Would you like one of our AI created video versions of it for an additional $x fee only?" 🙂
  2. @Lena will Fiverr be changing their system to stop users who are not Fiverr staff from putting "Fiverr" in their Display Names and user names (since anyone could put "Fiverr Support" in their display name currently for phishing attempts) and also automatically stop them using Fiverr's logo in their profiles. Doing that would be a couple things they could do to help prevent this scam happening again. Maybe if an existing user (which isn't a staff account) does have "Fiverr" in their username it could indicate somewhere that it's not an official Fiverr staff/company account in messages to help prevent phishing. As well as make the existing ones that are obviously unauthorised (made for phishing) be flagged automatically. I wrote about it here:
  3. Maybe staff here could give a definitive answer. @milos_siena Do the Fiverr rules (TOS etc) allow use of the Fiverr Mate browser extension or not? Since it claims to help people rank gigs but also allows users to copy stuff like gig images etc. 6 months ago CS wrote this about it, saying they didn't recommend it (but not whether it violated any Fiverr rule):
  4. That's about offering services on Fiverr related to that though. Fiverr does say on the TOS page in 8.6 Proprietary Restrictions section Maybe that could cover it but it's sort of a general thing. It could exclude Google's web crawler and all other site's search engine web crawlers if they stuck to that. It could exclude the ChatGPT type web crawlers (and Fiverr use ChatGPT) if they stuck to those rules exactly. So they want search engines to index (which would include scraping) the site but they don't put exceptions from their rules above for things like that. If search engines etc. stuck exactly to Fiverr's rules above there'd be no Fiverr site pages indexed in their search indexes or in ChatGPT or other AIs etc. So still I think it would help if a Fiverr staff member could give a notice somewhere saying yes or no if it's allowed to use that extension based on the Fiverr rules. Maybe there could be some exceptions (which they could put in the TOS). eg. If someone uses perplexity.ai (or some other AI) and posts a link to a Fiverr page in their prompt to ask a question about that page, would that technically be against Fiverr's general "not allowed" stuff in that quote above, since the AI (such as perplexity.ai) would then read the page, scrape it's content and then use that to help it give the answer. The same if someone gave a link to the page in Google Translate to try to view the page in their language, that would do something similar.
  5. Also I did ask Fiverr Customer Support 6 months ago about the Fiverr Mate extension and this is what the support person said then: So at the time they said "so I would not recommend it" but they could have been clearer about if it was or was not against Fiverr TOS/rules to use. Ideally Fiverr could still give an official answer about it, maybe on the forum or main site somewhere (more clearly than the existing TOS sections).
  6. It's a security problem if Fiverr allow any Fiverr users to call themselves "Fiverr Support" in their display name. Maybe that's a new problem that only happened because they quite recently added the "display name" field to profiles. So they could prevent that. They could also check any new usernames or display names that start with "Fiverr" so that only real Fiverr staff can have those. They could also do image analysis of the profile image to make sure no one other than Fiverr can use their logo. In fact that are lots of phishing attempts from usernames like that. Fiverr could put a check on those usernames that automatically flagged them for a manual check and didn't allow them to do anything on site until approved. It probably wasn't because you just completed your registration that you got the phishing message. eg. if you just joined Fiverr and completed the registration, as long as your browser wasn't compromised no one else should know (unless you joined the forum etc or unless they're checking sitemap type stuff or doing a seller search on the site (but for that they'd need part of the username)- but maybe it would require a gig first). It would have been after you created the new gig that they most likely noticed as your new gig would have appeared in the "new arrivals" sort on the site. It does say to "keep payments and communication within Fiverr" and scanning the barcode could have sent you to any website. You could tag one of the staff members if you want them to reply to your post here.
  7. Did you install any recent extensions with Fiverr in the name? Maybe that could be it (so it could be running the free version of the Fiverr Mate browser extension) - if you're using Chrome go to the "manage extensions" menu and check. Unless it's just an Ad for it.
  8. The answer could be: on Fiverr gig image/video thumbnail or portfolio or profile. Or live gallery (but probably not because that's not the 1st thing seen).
  9. It's an extension that Fiverr hasn't approved. It might be risky using it, due to how it allows copying (of info from gigs for use in seller's own gigs or rewording descriptions (I think using AI, that might not be from their own content) for use in their own gigs or copying other people's gig images (which probably isn't allowed by Fiverr))/how it works. I'd check with Fiverr staff if you were thinking of using since you might get in trouble if you use it and they disagree with it. Maybe staff on the forum such as @Lena or other staff can give an official statement about it and whether it's okay to use on Fiverr.
  10. You could speak to customer support at the helpdesk to get the exact answers. If you already paid it might just be the display on the order page that's changing (due to currency conversations) but check with CS. Here's a couple of help pages about it: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011608138-Can-I-change-my-view-to-any-currency-type-that-I-want-on-the-mobile-app So it says above, for mobile apps: This page: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050217393-Using-your-local-currency-on-Fiverr
  11. That gig "I will ghostwrite unique stories with a twist" is in the subcategory Writing & Translation->Creative Writing->Letters Surely since you're not writing letters but are writing stories it would be better in a different subcategory/nested subcategory. Your gig tags are "ghostwriting" & "book writing". If you're offering book writing you could put the gig in the Writing & Translation->Book & eBook Writing subcategory (unless it won't let you change it now). Though the package descriptions don't really seem like it's for books - they're more like shorter stories. You've got another gig that's for stories but is in the "Letters" nested subcategory too that might be better not being there. In your gig "do personalized valentines day writing" the gig title says "writing" but the gig is in the Proofreading & Editing->Proofreading subcategory. So people might think it's for proofreading rather than writing. Also your gig "I will write children book story , magical forest adventure series". Maybe change the gig title. Also your gig is in the Creative Writing ->Poetry section but your gig doesn't seem to be for poetry, so maybe change the subcategory/nested one. In the FAQ of that gig you say you'll deliver the story through Fiverr messaging. Maybe change that as it sounds like you'll deliver it through the inbox instead of through the order page like it's supposed to be delivered.
  12. The new levels info page https://www.fiverr.com/cp/freelancers-levels-ratings says: Analytics page also says March 14th. So that should be Thursday.
  13. I would say probably my guess would be Th... below 11.
  14. Though when they keep asking for tons of changes that take a long time to do and upload that could have been specified in the initial requirements it's a bit unfair for the seller to be expected to do them all within the initial time-frame, especially if it's the buyer that keeps changing their mind, especially if they don't give full info at the start of the order when they should have. Buyers can ask for many things in each revision request (or some that are very time-consuming) and the seller isn't going to know before the order how many or what things the buyer is going to ask to change and how many requests they're going to ask for so that can't accurately specified by the seller in the custom offer or gig package. So Fiverr's timer shouldn't be working in that way really (expecting all revisions - unknown before the order by the seller - to be done in the original time-frame).
  15. It's because of the changes they're making/testing. See: and Maybe the current profile (shown to you when logged in) is taking all years into account but the new dashboard might be taking the last 2 years into account. It says in the above link: Maybe they will standardise things after March 14th. They really should show a pop-up help or other help message next to displays on things like dashboard (and maybe profile) that explains how it's calculated and what time-frame it takes into account.
  16. And then they will continue showing sellers & buyers different rating values for the same sellers and different ones to sellers on different pages on the site. It could be called The Fiverr Schrödinger’s star rating system. Image created with the help of Stable Diffusion. Idea for text helped by bing copilot.
  17. I got it too. It showed "you are now eligible to promote all your gigs" today, but even after refreshing that promotion page it only shows 4 gigs that I can promote there, despite having 6 active gigs.
  18. Though delivering very early might make their "suspicious purchases" system flag an order (eg. if someone delivered something within a few minutes that they think should take a lot longer, even if they'd done the work by showing the user different versions in the inbox first). Their "detecting suspicious purchases" video on youtube mentioned things like file size of delivery, avg_hours_create_to_finish, and in the audio said something like (whisper ai translation):
  19. While people will never be 5.0 stars again if they have ratings < 5 stars within the window it takes ratings into account, with enough ratings, if they're going to show it to 2 decimal places it might still show as 5.00 stars even if it's eg. 4.997 stars for the overall figure. Though the more decimal places they show, the less likely it will show exactly 5 in the overall figure for a seller (depending on their calc).
  20. If it's not the above guess then maybe impressions/page views and/or clicks? or back-links?
  21. Images & images in vid clip created with the help of Stable Diffusion. bring-back-Fiverr-clubs-vid-b.mp4
  22. You'd need to attach after a buyer orders, so in the order page you press "deliver" and attach the files you want to deliver (such as your .zip file). If it's too big Fiverr help says you can use dropbox but you also need to show proof of work (you need to be careful of getting flagged eg. for partial deliveries if you don't properly show proof of work or deliver fully). So if possible attach it on Fiverr deliver. So it wouldn't be automatic. You'd have to manually deliver each order uploading the .zip file each time. But Fiverr would want the software customized I think.
  23. I think it wouldn't be allowed if it wasn't customized work (at least slightly different for each buyer). If you look at this link: https://www.fiverr.com/community/standards/ai-generated-content even though that's talking about AI and your gig wouldn't be, it says: You could check at the helpdesk (or maybe you have) but I think they might have said before that they don't want the same work given to many different people (though it only mentions that in the AI rules section). But the buyer is normally supposed to get copyright (but that can be changed by saying in the gig description that they wouldn't get exclusive rights). So you might be able to do something like that if you customized it for each buyer (but check with CS).
  24. Yes all the clubs (not just the country ones) have been removed from the forum, see:
  25. Some did though, even if it wasn't every day it might not need to be. Some didn't have the people to accept their entry to the club for a while. Though I thought that the country specific clubs weren't necessarily the best option for all people since splitting it up just by country (rather than interests or skills or other things people might have in common) might not be the best way of doing it. The way the country ones got set up seemed to be just (or initially) to try to get people to travel to different in-person meetings which doesn't seem very applicable for online freelancers (eg. why travel many miles to in-person meetings when you can discuss things online almost instantly and without travel costs?). According to this post: https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/325110-etiquettes-for-navigating-ratings-and-reviews-from-buyers/?do=findComment&comment=2035633 "it was done with careful consideration due to the resource constraints presented" That suggests they didn't have enough resources to handle it (or the resources to handle the meet-ups that the country specific clubs were initially mostly created for), which wouldn't the case if there were hardly any posts. Maybe some of the country ones didn't have much participation (though probably some did). Maybe they didn't have enough staff/volunteers to check the posts in each different language in the clubs, so they decided to remove all the clubs, even the ones that would be easy to check. If it wasn't because of needing enough staff/volunteers checking it might have been because of too many posts in some those clubs based on the "resource constraints presented". Though I thought they said they were trying to increase engagement on the forum, and deleting clubs that hundreds or thousands of people used and banning people from posting for 24 hours after they post about 10 posts in a day isn't really helping with that.
