  1. I have a birthday tradition: I eat a decadent breakfast usually consisting of multiple desserts. I also write a short letter to my future self and read what my past self wrote me the previous year.
  2. No, absolutely not.
  3. The Buyer Satisfaction Rate is a hidden metric that essentially tells Fiverr how well you are performing. Your BSR is calculated based on your buyers’ exit survey after an order is completed, regardless of what their public review was. Cancellations most definitely have an effect on your profile’s performance but the good news is that you can bounce back relatively quickly. The profile’s performance is calculated on a 60-day window whereas gig performance is calculated on a 90-day window.
  4. Fiverr is aware of the fakers, and -plot twist- a lot of them post here asking for help with “low impressions” etc I am also constantly raising flags with Fiverr staff directly when something fishy is up. I just became aware of a new Fiverr promotion service that has found a creative workaround to Fiverr’s algorithm. Guess who is writing a report about it right now?
  5. It goes deeper than that. There are either bots or a new “review service” where all the reviews they churn out are from “US accounts” with stock photos for profile pics and names that follow the “name+surname+3-digit number” formula. Sellers that try to game the system: I see you.
  6. There is a huge uptick right now in fake reviews. I read them all and pay extra close attention to both the source of the review and how it’s structured. As for the OP’s issue: it’s a hilarious byproduct of having set up a profile with a fake name/genre and having the buyer include your actual name and sex in the review. *chef’s kiss*
  7. I think you took my post out of context or linked it to the OP’s poll directly. Whatever this is, I didn’t make a blanket statement about how only the inexperienced/incompetent will vote to keep them. I am definitely not saying that.
  8. Not sure why you thought that statement was targeting TRS, but OK. I get them regardless of whether or not I respond to an order or not.
  9. I’m pushing for more educational programs for sellers. Fiverr is testing out several ideas at the same time, all of them target newbies and hope to make them more successful. But you can’t reach/teach everyone. While they wouldn’t weed them out, there are also a few other concepts in the works that will create some sort of barrier for bad actors. 😉
  10. I voted No. 🙂 Just wanted to go against the odds. 😛 But on a serious note: as long as Fiverr is dealing with sellers who are either inexperienced or straight up incompetent, we will need to deal with all these “handholding” notifications from Fiverr. Personally I don’t mind the “12 hours to go” notification, as I rarely get it myself. As for the other one, it annoys the crap out of me because I get it despite the fact that I send an automated welcome/confirmation message within 2 minutes of receiving an order. Seems like you still get it even if you respond to an order immediately.
  11. Hey Steve, glad I can help. This is not a complete guide by any means but it is a good starting point. The rabbit hole does go deeper. But TRS accounts are also being evaluated by the buyer satisfaction rate, so that’s usually the culprit when one notices a steep decline in account activity. I also think that the higher up we go in terms of seller levels (new > lvl 1 > lvl 2 > TRS > Pro) the formula changes considerably as some metrics have different weights. So higher tier accounts experience more of a “thud” than a subtle decline.
  12. To the best of my knowledge this doesn’t violate Fiverr’s “community standards” but it does violate 3rd party ToS . Hence past cancellations. If you want to keep risking your account’s status, hoping this won’t lead to more cancellations, then by all means continue down this path. This is your choice.
  13. Yes such requests break third party ToS. I also removed the video so that people don’t follow the instructions and get into trouble.
  14. I may be able to help you, no need to sign up for a course. Just prepare 2-3 examples of exchanges with prospects who ghosted you, in an image format (just stitch screenshots together) and send me a private message.
  15. Once again: can you please post your questions in the “Fiverr questions” category and not the “tips for sellers” one? I don’t know how else to ask.
  16. OK here’s what I have been thinking recently: The freelancing space is about to be shaken up big time. We have a sleeping giant who has yet to make its move and a looming market correction that can potentially mess with people’s employment and ability to work offline. I don’t see as Upwork and Fiverr as competitors anymore. They are two lines that went from parallel to perpendicular. They are bound to meet. Feel free to screenshot this and wait about 3 years to tell me whether I was wrong or right. 😉
  17. I just finished exploring an unreleased Fiverr prototype and I have to say: we are finally getting some Quality of Life improvements in the UI, real soon.

That sounds like a good think.

Hopefully that also includes the much-needed way to stop people from ordering 20x your packages... But leaving that aside, quality of life improvements are great, so this sounds very exciting.

  18. Seems like you would benefit greatly by reading how levels work and the ToS in general. The editorial team doesn’t decide based on personal preference, there are certain hidden criteria that need to be met. The more you understand about the subject the less frustrated you will feel. As for the OP’s post: it happens to me every couple of months. And I am considered a power-user no matter how you look at it.
  19. I’m definitely attending. I talked with the CMS team about this webinar during my visit and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. Plus all new sellers need to attend and put things to rest once and for all.
  20. I was the one who talked openly about that. Not sure if that changes how you look at that information.
  21. It’s been almost a week. Why don’t you share your results.
  22. Hi there! seems like you have several animation gigs already set up, pricing and everything. And most of your gigs seem to cover longer projects than the one in question. So my question is: what makes this request so different that you are not sure how to quote?
  23. People seem to be focusing too much on the “you get a Success manager” and they forget about: -the expedited clearance window -the exclusive webinars+events -the fact that a lot of the tools on our dashboard are EXCLUSIVE to seller plus members. And the number of exclusive tools and analytics will keep on growing.
  24. What will it take for you to post in the appropriate category? Is this a tip for sellers @habibur_pro24 ? Do I need to start issuing official warnings on accounts that don’t bother to read before posting?
  25. Keep in mind that we are talking about something that -to the best of my knowledge- is not being fully rolled out yet. Nothing works as it should. Lots of A/B testing taking place still. But sure, you can talk to your SM about it.
