I enjoy seeing the accurate local time of the buyer or one who messages me. I discover some who have times in distant parts of the world from me who have United States as their location. You can use this schedule of times around the world to see where people are located:

The New Fiverr Inbox has some cool features.

You can also check their current time and when he/she was last online from their notification panal or inbox chat window at the top next to their name.

I do not like this at all. I had a system for keeping track of my customers and potentials by using the colored coded labels and now all of the work that I put into organizing my inbox is basically useless.

The green icons that indicated whether someone has ordered from you before are gone as well.

Opening attachments one at a time in a separate window is also extremely inefficient.

There needs to be an option for users to be able to revert to the old inbox because I’m sure there are many others who woke up to a new inbox and are having a fit.

I agree! While the new features are nice, Fiverr totally screwed me over with this too. I often do work in advance for my regular clients on Fiverr and use the labels to mark what is owed, like $10, $20, $50, etc. Then weekly go through the list and send a custom order to bill for the weeks work.

Now its gone. I can click the $20 label… but I don’t know if that client was $20 and $50, or what. PLUS when I click on the option to view the labels on the conversation…its BLANK! Nothing is checkmarked even through I’m on a conversation that was just brought up under a $20 label!!

Yeah I got the new layout ONLY today. Does it have anything to do with the fact that I created my account about 23 days ago? If the new layout was already out before I created the account, why not have it enabled for users during account creation itself? meh… Anyway, I am loving it! It is so much more user-friendly! 💕

It might be a browser thing? I only got mine today as well and I’ve been around for a year or so.

Only now I’m seeing he updated inbox. It’s quite cool, but why change something if it isn’t broken? It was perfect the way it was before.

Shame that the quick responses button is so small that you can easily misclick. Took a while to even find it!

Change is always good. Fiverr must have realized that it needs to be changed. Infact we get so much accustomed to old version that we find it hard to accept new features. I assure you that after some time using this version you will get accustomed to it and never would want to revert to the old version.

Clear communication is the key to doing frictionless business on Fiverr. That’s why we’re replacing our current email-like messaging with a fresh new live-chat-style inbox experience. Your inbox has been completely overhauled and redesigned for faster and easier messaging, including real-time updates as well as improved multitasking and productivity. These exciting changes will gradually roll out to users over the next few weeks in order to make the transition to the new inbox as smooth as possible. We’ve outlined the biggest updates for you below:

Using Your New Inbox

Let’s take a look at the inbox. As you know, your inbox is where you will receive messages from buyers and sellers.

If you have a new message, you’ll see an indication in the top menu next to Messages.

Clicking Messages, and then Inbox will display your latest messages. This allows you to quickly view them and go directly to the conversation. If you’d like to view your entire inbox, you can click See All in Inbox.

Within a conversation, you can see the buyer or seller’s online status and local time. In addition, you can see more information about the user, including average response time, language preferences, order history, and more.

Select the Actions icon to mark a message as important (with a star), as unread or read, archive it, delete it, or even give it a label. Preset labels can be found in the menu, so for example, you can select the follow-up label to remind you to follow up on the message.

To find a conversation, just click the Search icon. You can also filter your conversations by the different statuses. For example, you can filter your inbox to show all the Custom Offers you’ve received.

To find specific conversations:

Click the “All Conversations” button to filter by the following statuses:

  • All Conversations: here you can view all current and past messages
  • Unread: See all opened messages
  • Starred: See all messages you’ve marked as important
  • Archived: Conversations in your history you’ve saved for your reference
  • Requests: Conversations in which you have requested a quote from another seller
  • Follow-up: messages you have flagged to respond to at another time
  • Other: you have the option to create your own labels to keep you organized as you see fit
  • Use the magnifying glass icon to search for specific users.

To report a message as spam and/or a violation of our Terms of Service:

  1. Click Report Button
  2. Select reason for report (the nature of the offense)
  3. Click Next
  4. Decide whether or not you would like to block the user, and click Submit

Create a Custom Offer

One more thing, sellers: you can still send Custom Offers to buyers looking for something specific. Custom Offers help you be proactive and develop a rapport with a buyer by tailoring your Gig to their needs.

When you send a Custom Offer to a buyer, include all the necessary details in the message, based on your availability and the buyer’s requirements. If the buyer agrees to the terms, all he or she has to do is accept the offer and the order will start. So make sure the Custom Offer fits your stipulations before you hit send.

Ok, so today during fun goodie bags’ party time, I got my Inbox update alongside with a seller’s message asking me how I got my first sale and how he could do it :frowning_face:

I replied “Working hard” and reported it. After doing so, I tried to mark the message as spam but I couldn’t because the option of marking it as spam is no longer available and I can’t figure out how to do it. 😰

Can anybody please be so kind to tell me what to do?

I also like the new inbox. It clearly shows if some client is typing a message for you. In that way, we can get ready to respond him on time without any delay. Also it shows a small timer icon if you get any new message and when you drag your cursor on it, it tells us about the time left in order to maintain our response rate.

It is awesome. :fairy:
