Account is no longer active

saher1

Question

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with my Fiverr account.

In January, my account was put on hold for review without any clear reason. They said the review might take up to 3 months, but it took even longer. Finally, they said it was due to a problem with my location. I didn't move anywhere and didn't do anything wrong. I never used any special tools like VPN or proxy that could cause these problems. I accepted their explanation and started using my account again.

In June, I made a few changes to the pictures in my service offer and updated it. But the very next day, my service offer was taken down. I contacted the support team, and they told me that the pictures I used were already being used by someone else. They not only removed my service offer but also put my account under review for the next two months. I tried to explain that maybe it was a mistake, and I could prove that I've been using those pictures since I started my account. I even used an older picture that I had used when I first created my account. However, I received an automated response saying my customer support request was resolved.

I waited for the 60 days, and now when I checked, it says "This account is no longer active. We sent you an email explaining what happened." But I didn't get any email or explanation. I'm also worried about the money I earned from my services, which hasn't been paid out yet.

Has anyone else gone through a similar issue? Is it possible to get this account back? What can I do? I used to be a Level 2 seller and earned more than 17,000 dollars.

Thank you

When I received this message from Fiverr, I finally found the message in my spam folder. Did you check your junk, spam, and trash folders?

And what pictures were you using?

Yes I did, I checked the spam folder, I have been providing services of graphics designing since 2018, I changed the gig image and as a result all this happened. I also sent an email to Fiverr and waiting for their response there.

What happened to your account then? and to your Fiverr available balance?

My account was shut down for a different reason (a hacker withdrew all my Earnings and then shut down the account). Fiverr was able to restore my account and covered my loss.

Your account was put under review because of the gig images - so what @imamiopial suggested is the best route - you have to prove that you created the images, not that you've used the images since 2018.

However, if the account is not active, that means that Fiverr completed its review of your account and decided to permanently shut down/ban your account. The message Fiverr supposedly sent you would have had instructions to withdraw your Earnings (and usually only gives you 7 days to withdraw your funds). If that 7-day period has already expired, the likelihood of you getting your funds is very low. I saw another seller on the forum who wasn't able to get their $1,700.

Really sorry to hear what happened,

Is there any way to prove that you created the images?

Yeah I have the source file of the image, but the problem is that now Customer support is not replying to my mail, It's been two days I sent them a mail and heard nothing back from them. The other problem is that I can not access to my account, I didn't got any email from Fiverr team about what happened and why my account is no longer active.

Here the problem is how I can prove that because I always got auto replies on Fiverr Customer support and now when my account is no more active I already sent them a mail to let me atleast know why my account is no more active, How can I access back to my earnings and I didn't receive any reply from Support. That is what I think very unprofessional as I am working with them since 2018 and now they will just do reply with an auto message or they won't explain why they inactive my account.

You could try to contact CS at: support@fiverr.com (via email)

@Lena - would you be able to retrieve the missing message(s) that Fiverr sent to @saher1? This would be the final message explaining the results of the account review and instructions for withdrawal (it looks like it never made it):

What can I do?

If it was because of the images, if you wanted to show that they were yours you could attach the source files to a support ticket. If you can't create a support ticket you could contact them at support@fiverr.com (maybe they could be attached in an email for proof they were yours).

Though I don't know why they were saying that first it was a problem with your location and then that it was a problem with the images. Though if they were checking the IP address that can give very wrong location info for a user sometimes (like it saying someone is over a hundred miles away from their real location).

I just mailed them with the source file now, let's see what happens next

How can I get back to Fiverr after my account is disabled? Is there a way?

If you have done nothing wrong, there's a good chance that your account will be restored. Mine was.

If you violated Fiverr's ToS, most likely it will not be restored.

What was the reason for your account being disabled?

Fiverr left the door open for you to try again at a later time. In the meantime, you can try growing your business outside of Fiverr through your own website or another freelancing platform.

Just to let you all know that I got my Fiverr account back now by providing the source files of my work and making some changes in the current gigs.

That makes me very happy, @saher1! I'm glad that everything worked out for you!

Now let's hope that you can start getting visibility again in search after such a long shutdown!

Hello, I have just had something similar to what happened to @saher1

The account was fine until i added project in my portfolio with pictures (i made by myself and i have source files for sure) , after very short time i received the message about my account being reviewed and i have to wait for 60 days.
i contacted customer support, they responded with automated messages.

i have no problem to wait for 60 days and wait for their decision, but i thought it may be better to write here as i found almost same issue as mine.

Thanks for your time reading this.

Wow, well done! I am so thrilled to read this. I only saw all your posts tonight as I rarely get the time to come here these days. But I felt very upset for you. I'm truly happy you got your account back!
