  1. Some people say that Fiverr thinks of buyers as kings and this is possible. My personal experience: When I asked for a refund, I was asked to provide proof that the work wasn't up to standard and write a short report about it. So I don't think it's that easy to get a refund.
  2. Comminication. A lack of communication skills will make it difficult to win potential clients' confidence, particularly those who are willing to pay a fair price for high-quality work. It will also allow you to better understand the client's requirements and ensure that they are satisfied with the results of your work.
  3. I usually tell people "I don't do samples" and that's the end of it. Some of them go radio silence afterwards. The most extreme request for this was asking that I provide a 100 word translation sample for 200 words (in total). This order was worth $5. I told him the same "I don't do samples." After I decided against telling him that "I don't do charity".
  4. I was asked for identification the first week I became a seller. As a service provider on the platform, it makes sense for them to know your identity and to be sure that you are the person who is paid. If you find it inconvenient to do so, then leave.
  5. If you have the screenshot of the conversations, you can contact the customer support and explain your situation. I will inform the client that I will email his university to notify them of his behavior.

    Silent clients

Who knows? 🤷‍♀️I have a good imagination and can think up some fun stories. 🤔 Sometimes I have some of these clients come back 4 week later apologizing that they just got busy and they loved the order. Some never come back. So I just assume that life happens and things just got really busy. I had a client who once ordered and then went silent for a while. It turned out that his account had been banned (he was using a VPN and thought it might be because of that). You can either deliver what you can and ask them to use the revision (if they accept it), or initiate a cancellation at the very last hour.
  7. In my experience, my second "main" gig took off after I created over 10+ gigs. I have created an "effective" funnel that works for me but I think it's different for everyone. It's applicable to my case, though. I waited until I had a good track record of completing orders before I create the funnel tho.
  8. You don't. But you need to be "crawlable" so you can be "searched" and "found".
  9. You have very interesting service offerings that fit a niche. That is a good thing! I recommend rewriting your gig description to take advantage of the 1,200 characters that are made available for you (you used 644 characters for your main gig with 156 reviews). Many people do not realize that the search engine algorithms "crawl" through content. If you have more words in your gig that are not filled with empty filler words, or do not contain keyword stuffing, you will have an advantage over those who do.
  10. Attempts to determine how the algorithm works have been made by many people, including myself; however, I believe that we will not be able to arrive at a definitive answer unless Fiverr actually disclose them. There is only one seller who I know of who has built two and more successful gigs in the same category and service type. He is fairly established. I have made a concerted effort to develop two "main" gigs, and it seems that my efforts are bearing fruit. I note, however, that when one of those gigs is growing, the other tends to slow down. (Main gig = popular ones that is getting orders) My hypothesis is that Fiverr's automated system is designed to give each seller a certain amount of attention. The "allocation" will be distributed to your gig that have demonstrated readiness (completion of a skill test, inclusion of relevant tags, completion of the profile and whether you utilize as many given functions as possible such as having an FAQ section and subscription enabled). And if you have two such gigs, the "attention" will not be focused enough to get you optimal algorithmic push.
  11. I have just learned that the gig classification has been further refined. I believe this may be why some of us are not getting briefs—because the briefs are now more specific in what they ask for.
  12. I think it's an APP problem, your profile looks normal on my end.
  13. Depending on the gig and service you do, you need to send the right format to a buyer. What a question to ask.
  14. I submitted a buyer's brief in search of a resume writer, but I was not matched with one. I think it is keyword sensitive because I included the term "management consultant" when I did a general search... there are few sellers within the resume writing category who specialize in writing for management consultants. So it makes sense for me to not get match because it is such a niche.
  15. Congrats. I remember how happy I was that day!
  16. An update: this violation was removed after I contacted the customer support team.
  17. Can you share any links to local rentals?
  18. It will be best for me to stay in Malaysia but I do not like the lifestyle here. It is possible to live a good lifestyle at $700 a month as a single person, but there are some local Malaysians who attack me when I do not speak their language, Malay. Does anyone have any recommendations on countries that allow extended stays without problems with visas? I heard that the Philippines does not have long-term visas that are suitable for nomads. It will be fun to live in a nomad village.
  19. Australian, Malaysia and Singapore.
  20. Yes. I need to save the money in order to buy a property in Bathurst, NSW at some point in the future. There is a greater chance that this will occur if I don't want take out a loan to live locally.
  21. I am considering Vietnam, Tbilisi (Georgia), Bogotá (Colombia) and the Philippines. The deciding factor is the visa (first) because I really don't want to do constant visa runs.
  22. I am traveling between four countries, and the extensive travel is starting to wear me down; I am thinking about settling down in a different country on a more permanent basis. The hardest part for me is obtaining the visa as I don't want to do visa runs. I am also wondering how well I can deal with loneliness in a place that will allow me to have a livable lifestyle while also saving money.
