  1. It's really easy to find out. Read Fiverr's terms of service, which you accepted when registering your account...s. You'll find this: If you think you have a valid reason to have both a regular and a Fiverr Business account, and want to pay for a Business account (but that's for buying, not for selling), still don't open a second account without, first, asking support if they agree that you have a valid reason for having a second account. Hint: most likely, they won't. There are sellers who also buy sometimes, and I know that some would like to use different accounts, as in 1 just for selling, and 1 just for buying, and even got a "no" for that. I think that ToS passage isn't for people who sell at all, but for someone, who, for example, works for a company and to open a Fiverr business account for that, and also have a private buyer account for personal Gig ordering, or maybe has their own small business on the side and wants to keep that apart from buying for that company Business account. Not for people who are mainly sellers but also buy sometimes, and it would make far more sense to "keep things organized and apart" between Selling/Buying than between selling different kinds of services. If that (separate accounts for buying and selling) is already a "no", it would make no sense to allow sellers more than one account for selling. I do think that ToS passage should be worded a bit simpler, clearer, though, as I can see how it might create misunderstandings or rumours of "2 accounts are okay", and also would cause sellers to wrongly open a Business account, in the misinformed hope of having found a way around the "just 1 account per person" general rule. It should say something like "... limited to one active Fiverr Seller account OR to one active Fiverr Buyer account and one active Fiverr Business Buyer account". It should also define "active", as that's another source of misunderstandings. There seem to be enough people who are already confused about the terms seller and buyer, so, well, but it could be improved. Have a little trust in your clients, they won't be confused so easily. Yes, I understand that, but Fiverr as a whole would be far more disorganized if everyone was allowed to have an account for any service they'd like to offer, and many buyers would find it off-putting rather than confusing, if it was permitted. Either decide on being a specialist for one thing, or offer everything under your one permitted account and live with losing customers who are confused easily, or only want to order from sellers who specialize in one thing. It's what everyone who plays by the rules does. If you already have 2 accounts, as you say you do (next time you're wondering about whether two accounts are allowed on some site, first ask, then open a second account, or not, depending), you can ask support to close the one that you, a bit too enthusiastically, already opened, before finding out that it's not allowed, and that nothing happened on yet. Good luck.
  2. Absolutely. I generally have a high number of repeat buyers, and it's a good thing, Fiverr even has a special badge for it, sometimes, a buyer even orders several Gigs on the same day ("Please send me an offer for...", a while later, "Oh, we've added..., please send an offer for..."..., and thus, if it's smallish orders that I also finish the same day, might also even leave several reviews the same day, if they do leave reviews. "Too many repeat buyers" alone isn't a good enough reason to suspect or report people, but as markp said, if you dig deeper, in some cases, red flags add up, and up, and up... I do think it's a legit course of action, if a seller who happens to stumble over or delves into competitors' accounts, finds "too many" red flags and is super certain that they play unfairly, to report it (and Fiverr also asks sellers to report things that are against the terms, to help keep the marketplace and community safe), and leave the judgement to Fiverr, who can delve deeper. However, IMO, one should be very careful of equating things like "'too many' repeat buyers", or "'too many' five-star reviews" with "scammer" and with reporting people who might not be.
  3. Frankly, if I was Fiverr, I'd also stick with "security clearance periods", for, well, security reasons. For honest sellers, it's annoying, of course, but honest sellers also want Fiverr to be a secure place for honest buyers, and to flourish; I think trying to see it from that point of view helps. Plus, everything everyone said already. 🙂
  4. I'll do both at once, then. My worst selling experience was when I was pretty new on Fiverr. A "buyer" (scammer would be the correct designation) with a hyperfake profile, whom I'd never have sent a custom offer, ordered a Gig. After delivery, they DEMANDED a refund, yes, in all-caps, yes, without giving even the shadow of a hint of a reason. Just like "REFUND!!!!!!!". Well, the overly obvious fakeness of their account didn't hint at an intellect capable of more subtle scamming, either. The positive part of the story, when I checked the account at a later time, it was gone. 🙂 So, they couldn't scam anyone else, at least not on Fiverr thereafter. Granted, perhaps with a different account, but all things considered, it probably was someone Fiverr could manage to really perma-ban, even back then, with less evolved security algorithms. And yes, most customers are wonderful, agreed! Some are chaotic good or chaotic neutral, which is a more of a challenge to work with than pure good or neutral, but thankfully, there aren't many pure evil or chaotic evil ones, or I don't really get those (that one from my story above, I couldn't really call pure evil, more, like, pure stupid, if that was a category). And as I tend to play chaotic good or chaotic neutral characters in roleplay, I can deal with some amount of chaos 😉 I hope your username choice for your current account won't attract any problematic customers, OP 😅 but as you've learned from your bad exp, you'll probably be fine 🙂
  5. I'm sure they do. There are so many things that, as we say here, a blind person with glass eye could see, and they have lots of data that we even can't see. Apart from that, there regularly are people who out the tips of such icebergs on Fiverr's very own official forum, as nonchalant as if talking to themselves in their own cellar. Years ago, I was invested in a game where lots of account selling and buying was going on (against the terms, even though "just a game", for reasons that aren't hard to guess, even if not reading those terms; and as I've seen it as forbidden by the terms of anywhere I ever read the terms of, I'm assuming it is forbidden on any legit site – by the way, what would you know, even the two those sites that I knew of that enabled the game account selling and buying, did not allow multiple accounts on their own site...), both within the game, and on third party sites, which you were bound to stumble over eventually, even if you just generally and generically were interested in the game and looking up random stuff, and not an owner, manager, etc. of that company, or responsible for groups and other fun, as an admin, GM, and such. There were different systems at play, from elaborate and cunning (people having found a way to make bank with a game, and clearly with every sense of guilt, as they would not have felt the need to obfuscate, otherwise) down to people literally posting the exact name of accounts they wanted to sell or were interested in buying (that kind of either really stupid, or really lacking any sense of guilt, or both), on a website/forum that anyone with an email address could sign up on, and read even without signing up, including anyone from that game company. Would you be surprised to hear that there also were lots of people complaining about having lost their bought accounts?
  6. If anyone still is missing theirs, it may be quicker to check all your mail folders than to contact support, my mail wasn't in the folder that the bulk of my Fiverr messages goes into, but in a folder I can usually ignore most of the year, so, maybe you just missed it. But it's also possible that some people didn't get one sent, of course.
  7. And don't be shy about using the "Unavailable" function if you need it, that's what it's there for.
  8. Also, "Rising Talent" badge, my bad, although you could say they do raise the talents by putting a badge on them, while they shouldn't need the badge if they truly are rising talents 🤔😏
  9. When evaluating anything that random people, including those here on the forum, are telling you, you should ask yourself, "What would Fiverr do/want?" As I see it, very obviously, Fiverr is interested in having talent on their site who have interesting services to offer to their users, because they want to be an interesting and relevant global company, and in earning money through offering those talents a way to reach potential customers, plus additional criteria for the PRO badge, if that's what you mean with the "verified badge". I'm pretty sure that which country those talents are from is far down on their list of requirements or desires, as long as there is a demand by customers for the offered services. Obvious exceptions apply, like one country, due to the current political climate, and I think, and would understand, that they might also be a bit peculiar regarding sellers from (not only) Asia who offer services closely tied to being native speakers of a language, which they aren't native speakers of. I would not pay the least attention to anything that random people say about Fiverr, and who can or can't achieve this or that based on what country they are from. As long as you can legitimately open an account on Fiverr, have the credentials/fulfill the listed requirements, have a way to legally withdraw your revenue in your country, think you can stick to the ToS, have valuable, in-demand services to offer, and are skilled at what you do, go ahead and prove the girl on Facebook and those YouYube people wrong. It should be fun to prove that you can do something that others said isn't possible, and can inspire others, too, no? Be a unicorn 🦄! 🙂
  10. Do Absolute Beginners (caps in honour to David Bowie, to balance referring Billy Joel, not to draw attention on anything else!) get the "Fiverr's Choice" badge? If yes, then both, OP said they are a "New Seller", that made me think "Raising Talent" should be more probable.
  11. A notification that Frank posted, and made me think that I can settle down for a long Fiverr 5.0 read now. Oh well. But thanks for the recommendation to not dm, anyway, Frank 😉 Yes, I have a tip, do the best you can to make your Gig and profile seem worth a "raising talent" badge to Fiverr. Be realistic, don't promise illegal, against Fiverr's ToS, (to you) impossible, or highly incredible things if you have no means to back them up. Starting out, and without any social proof yet, give the means you do have at your disposal, use your Gig images to "show not tell" your potential customers what you can do for them (but don't use other people's credentials for that, again, don't do anything that's illegal and/or against Fiverr's terms). Also, Well I'm on the Downeaster Alexa. (Ignore this, if you have no idea what the heck I'm talking or who or what Billy Joel is, it's an, err, forum insider joke, or not.)
  12. Maybe just something that lets you know that they know you're not a US citizen and don't have to fill out the form, and everything is fine, but if you'd like to confirm with support, you can open a support ticket: https://www.fiverr.com/support_tickets/
  13. My advice is to pay attention. To details, to your customers, to the platform you want to peruse to earn money. Let's say you had a customer whose company is called "Fiverr", and you market them as "Fiber". It won't go down well, and chances are that you won't make a returning customer out of them, which is one of the "secrets" of Fiverr success. Returning customers. Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar, i.e., spell Fiverr as Fiverr. And, bonus advice, don't lean on your phone's autocorrect too much. It's a beautiful invention, but don't rely on it, it's a treacherous beauty, it's not known as "Auto 'Brutus' Correct" among experienced people for nothing.
  14. Incidentally, I was walking by a "Euro Shop" today, which had stealthily raised prices last year by adding a small ".20" to all their "€1" signs. It seems they decided on a bolder approach for 2023, as all I could see today were big bright red "€2" signs. Can't really fault them, considering the more than tripled gas and electricity bills here, in addition to the general crazy inflation. Many shops also reduced opening hours this year to cope with gas and electricity prices, while opening hours had been increasing for decades... Imagine Fiverr reduced "opening hours", the "Stay online ../. (don't want my post hidden ;))" threads would be gone, too! Well, okay, they'd probably be replaced by "Stay online 20/6" threads. 😉
  15. Finally. Finally. Finally, all the years of following the good old "Be patience" forum tip&trick will come to fruition, and I can make good use of my valuable 7th grade skill of being able to quote Downeaster Alexa, in its entirety, by heart (don't ask why), to rank my Gig. It will rank my Gig, right? Right?! All hail, MacMooch, and all praise, as well as forum batches, badgers, and badges be thine for having bestowed these kingly rules upon this otherwise far too mundane and nonsensical forum full of court jesters, which inexplicably still makes it more tear and facepalm inspiring than it makes you laugh. Although it does that, too. A happy and healthy new year to all and any forumites. 🐞
  16. 🎄A very merry Christmas. And a healthy and happy new year to everyone. 💚
  17. That's probably not luck, though, but because they like working with you, don't sell yourself short to yourself 🙂 and take it as a motivation to keep these repeat customers and gain new ones like them, and put a big part of your efforts there, focus on them, like Vickie suggested.
  18. If you pause your profile or Gigs, customers won't be able to accept custom offers, at least it's like that for me since months, not sure if by design or bug. However, I've had customers tell me that it does work via app. It can be a bit bothersome if you need to unpause your profile or Gigs again for a maybe longer time, so that a customer can accept the offer, especially if in different time zones, and it also may be inconvenient for your "experiment", so thought I'd leave that info here. Not all people use the app, though, so asking them to accept their custom offer via app might not work with all (I'd not urge them, of course, but those who use the app anyway, most probably won't mind, and some who didn't use it before, might even find it useful enough, if they try, to actually be thankful for the "tip", so I don't think it hurts to ask). Generally, I have the impression, though, that for most people, pausing profile or Gigs leads to a lull of several days or weeks, before it goes back to "like before", so I'm not sure if it will benefit you in any way, but you can try, of course. It's not long until the new year now, in any case. If you'll get orders from new people again, you still won't know if it's because your bad private feedback "dropped off" by then anyway, or if it was a Gig rotation thing, or because of your pausing the Gig, but, well, getting orders again will be more important. If nothing helps, maybe think about a new similar Gig but with an edge that makes it different enough from the current one to stand on its own without being a not permissible copy? Perhaps researching and incorporating new trends, or something that you didn't offer your customers before, but actually could. Good luck!

    Dead gig purge?

As tentatively promised, a day later, ta-daaaa... from 10,003 to 31,797. Well, well. Maybe put the champagne back in your yacht's fridge until New Year's, Mike. Cordially yours, 🤖 (Hm, did discobot get a makeover?) Of course, you are right. I said it like, you know, one does, "Ramses built the pyramids", "Napoleon conquered Europe", "Mike put the champagne back in the fridge", ... 😉 Yeah... but... I do wish Discobot would add a little "i" symbol next to those numbers, with a hover-explanation to tell us that you should monitor them over a period of 60 days, and then take the 5th root to get the actual number. 🤖

    Dead gig purge?

This is what I'm seeing at the moment, just 10,007 ... I'll check again tomorrow if I remember or see this thread in my notifications ... I also wonder if what we see, including the number, may already somewhat be tailored to us individually. Maybe the algorithm knows that it makes more sense to offer some of us just the upper third or such, anyhow 😉 ETA: Just sorted for "Best Selling", and got 10,004, then again for the default "Recommended", 10,004, too. Maybe, peu à peu, sellers pause Gigs for Christmas now. That's just my explanation for 10,007 > 10,004, though, not for the 20k+ / 10K difference 😉 When I use the search bar and type "voice over", I get the 26K, too. From my experience with search, back when I used to still make such fun experiments more often, I concluded that search is a bit... Well, I wouldn't wonder if that number includes any Gig that for any reason has either "voice" or "over" somewhere in some text, which would inflate the actual number. Back to category click, voilà, > 10,003. Christmas. At least, let's hope it's that, and not the seasonal flu, that lets the VOs turn off their Gigs one by one 😉
  21. From reading the forum, the only thing to say here is, it could go very well, it could go very wrong. Up to you to decide to be brave or not, nobody will take that responsibility off of you.
  22. I usually had fast response times, too, but my last ticket also took "ages" (days ;)). I thought it might have to do with seller+ having become available for more sellers, but it might also have been a fluke, or perhaps many people being sick at once. Maybe give it another day, and then politely ask if there's any news on your matter, to give the ticket a little nudge, just in case it somehow slid off the desk, you never know.
  23. Hence, you'll need to figure in those 20% if you want to walk away with your desired revenue. You can find all the financial and many other terms in the terms. If you want to spare yourself such "surprises" and to succeed long-term on a platform, not just Fiverr, that site's terms really are a must-read. Learn from it, and be aware that if you got an order early in and for such an amount easily, you're already far ahead of many, so it might be very wise to rethink, read the terms that you signed on registering, and stick with it a little longer to see if you can work with those 20% in exchange for the customers the platform sends your way. It might be worth it, after all.
  24. I'll resist 😉 to not get my Fiverr Birthday wishes hidden, so, just a Happy Fiverr Birthday from me, all the best for your further Fiverr path, and thanks for being a real plus to the forum. 🧩🧩🧩🧩🧩⚒️♻️✅📊🎖️
  25. Suggest it in the "Site Suggestions" forum section, or to support, they'll "pass it on to the relevant team".
