  1. Hi there! I think you need more images, I don't think I'd buy from a seller who has only 3 examples in their Gig images – if you didn't know, you can also add a couple PDFs to your Gig in addition to the Gig images, which you could set up to showcase more of your designs. Also, I'd make very sure that there are no typos or oddities anywhere in your Gig description, I noticed "I will create a Simple Small authentic Tattoo", in the premium package name, for example – why do Simple, Small, and Tattoo start with upper-case, while authentic doesn't... not to nit-pick, but we're talking about people who'll get "stuff" (not too sure about that term either, actually) on their skin permanently, and any kind of typo or such probably won't inspire trust. Good luck with your Gig, and welcome to the forum! 🙂
  2. Go vegan, and don't buy strawberries in winter (sorry, but that was too irresistible 😉). Alternatively, well, follow OP to see if you can get that secret link (but beware the charge!), after all, although it somehow looks as if they aren't too interested in following their own topic, though. Also, the question is whether it would work for you in the first place, presuming you weren't a poor boy in 2019 🤔. Unfortunately, OP seems to have fully relied on that invisible link, instead of giving us a little bit of actually useful info right here, so it's hard to tell, it's almost as if the whole post was just for the sake of luring forum people away from the forum, but that can't be, can it.

    Eat Zee Bugs

Must be the protein trend. Hard to find anything they aren't adding and advertising as protein this or protein that these days. Really, though, that's been in use as a colorant in cosmetics and food for ages, at least here. In lipstick, it kind of serves both functions in one. Yummy. They tend to call it E120 or Natural Red 4, though, to make it more palatable, I guess.
  4. Either you forgot to add that magical link, or a forum shepherd rightfully and thankfully deleted it. If the latter, it makes this whole post even more pointless, though, how about you add some substance that can be discussed, like, you know, you were posting on a community forum, not on a billboard? There's also a Freudian slip there, pal, you meant to write there is change for you, not charge. Well, at least, now we know that Maria probably won't leave Fiverr, and us on the forum quite yet, but only once she became a trillionaire.
  5. I've seen direct links, so it's definitely possible. I'm guessing, the more special(ised) your Gig is, the more precisely people search, and the better you are in knowing or guessing what they are searching for, and the fewer people who provide a similar service throughout the internet, the higher the chance.
  6. Hmmm... that emoji there appears all the time on a spam template that many new accounts send as a "message". They are always sellers, but seem to blindly copy and paste a template, apparently, somehow (their English) thinking they are sending a pitch to a buyer. Anytime I see a message that starts with that emoji (and typically ends without a question or other punctuation mark), it's for the same text, just from different accounts. Makes me think it's just another version of that template seller spam message, there may be templates for all kinds of categories... I don't think I ever got a message from an actual buyer that started with that emoji, in any case, and it would also explain why they don't even know themself why what they are asking is relevant. Anyway, yes,
  7. Yes, absolutely it's a chance. All other things being equal, the buyer not already having shortlisted specific sellers for specific reasons, or if someone who replies faster can convince the buyer to choose them, depending on how many sellers the buyer messaged, etc., same as with any inbox message or brief, it might even be decisive. I know that I've not booked a few Gigs because by the time I replied, the customer had already given the job to someone else. Which is fine, however, I can't pick up every request I get anyway. The question is if you can, want to, or have to live with replying within five minutes. I'm sure it has an influence. How negligible or not that influence is, depends a lot on the seller, the seller's situation, and on the buyer. Of course, I try to check or reply quickly, anyway, but I won't take my phone into the shower or even the bathroom, to say it a bit pointedly, just to not miss an eventual "Reply within five minutes" pop-up. Especially not if the spammer/lead ratio will turn out to be bad. The time spent on checking, replying, and re-focusing on your work might be spent better else. But it also depends on how you work, and what you work, for some people, maybe it doesn't matter if they let messages disrupt them, or they don't mind either way. As far as I can see, it seems to have been a "normal message" that this seller sent to my inbox, referencing my Gig, which got that pop-up, not some kind of brief, so, if it had been a buyer, they'd probably already chosen to message me specifically, so, typically, probably would expect a reply within an hour, according to the "Response Time", if they have common sense, probably within an hour if they happen to be in a similar timezone. If it's a buyer who randomly messages a number of sellers, or more than one sellers that they have shortlisted, most obviously, the chances to book the Gig if responding faster are better. I wonder which messages get those pop-ups, only those of newly registered users? My experience so far, and @fastadking's comment makes it seem probable, and the odds of getting spam/scam messages are higher then, of course. I got a message around the same time as the pop-up spam message, without a pop-up, and it was from someone who already bought on Fiverr, a 2021 account. Or is there even something on buyer (or spammer) side that they do to trigger that pop-up, like clicking "I want to receive an instant reply" or such? With briefs, I guess they are getting passed on to the next/more seller/s down the line, but if someone specifically messages you in your inbox, that would be weird? I'll try checking any pop-ups that I notice for a while, "for science", to see if it's just from new accounts (and only from spammers ;)).
  8. That's a good thought/question. I think it's perfectly possible that it will have an influence, but that the influence will probably be negligible enough if you're an in-demand seller. It's main benefit should be a chance for new sellers or such with little demand, to close a deal, or get a little bit of leverage with the algorithm. As @imagination7413 mentioned the long-forgotten "Available now", though, this new feature might well suffer from the same or similar ailments, so it will be interesting to see if it's here to stay, or will go the way of "Available now".
  9. Needs more espresso. The Overlords will consume all your forum content and plug themselves into an espresso machine before their next try. It makes me wonder about the effects on the book market. "Did you read the new AI84?" sounds a little sad, compared to "Did you read the new Mooch?". Will they give their star AIs nice pen names to add to the illusion of reading a book written by another human being, or will people even prefer reading something that AI84 tailored specifically to them, including all their favourite tropes, excluding any triggers or new thoughts that might otherwise offensively jump at them, make them think, maybe even rethink? Will the bestseller lists be dominated by the latest and greatest AI "authors", and will you maybe have a laugh if you spot a pretty unique sentence that the current cosy mystery AI writer star nicked verbatim from your last Gmail to Swifty? Time will tell. Might be bad news for actual authors who self-publish, on the other hand, it may revive the traditional publishing business. Recently, when I wanted to read something, I went to the lengths of visiting a brick-and-mortar bookshop, and picked a book from the "our staff recommends" shelf, with a "Literature Nobel Prize" sticker, seemed a reasonably safe choice. It was a book I'd probably not have chosen from the general shelves, not my usual prey, and it was a great read, by the way. Back to Fiverr. Working in a field where people, articles, and pretty much everything and everyone already warned you decades ago to not even begin to study in this field, as there'll be no need for you any longer in a few years, I can only say, sure, I should've done what most classmates did, and I'm sure that financial institutes, courts, and health insurance company offices are amazing workplaces, if such things are your calling, but I'm happy with what I do for a living, and glad that I didn't heed the warnings. I'm just a little sad that I didn't consider becoming a car mechanic, but you can't have everything. On Fiverr, do you have to compete with people who use AI to sell AI translations? Not really, you need to work with people who are aware of the shortcomings of AI (and there still are many, in many areas), who want very specific things, want a human touch, etc. I'm sure that's the same in many if not all categories. Are there customers who ask you to "proofread", "fix", "improve", etc. AI translations vs ordering a "handmade" translation? You bet. In some cases, it makes sense, in some not. If and under what conditions you accept such jobs, is for you to decide. If you don't want to do such jobs, I'd recommend spending a little time on crafting some inoffensive replies and save them as "Quick Responses", maybe one or two that might even inspire some thought and make the person consider ordering "art from scratch" to use when you see a glint of hope that the person isn't beyond redemption 😉
  10. Ah, well, that's something, at least, even though the deal didn't come to be, still feels better to spend time on actual possibilities than on spam 🙂
  11. Today, out of the blue, this here popped up on my screen... It might not be that bad if there was an actual lead behind it, however, as you may or may not have guessed, clicking on it, only confirmed my suspicion - don't ask why I was suspicious, if you know, you know, if you don't know you'll learn over time - led to this... Of course, it was a seller, no deal to be sealed. Well, I guess this new feature can significantly boost my chances of reporting spammers as the first one... yay? Granted, it might also boost your chances to notice spam before it reduces your response rate, but it might become really annoying when you're caught in a spam wave. Just joking, of course, as the first time the feature hit me, was with spam - I wonder what the chances are - but might be a nice feature, especially for those specializing in urgent orders, and for sellers just starting out, or with too little to do.
  12. My coolest, to me, book is one of the Jedi Padawan series. I read them to/with my son, and somehow we ended up with one double, so that's mine, and the feeling and memories when looking at it make it the most valuable book in my shelf. Followed closely by the books that my son gave me as gifts. I also have a more objectively valuable Alice in Wonderland edition, but if I could only keep one book, it would be the Jedi Padawan paperback. Seen through the eyes of people who've seen my book shelf, the most cool book, or rather books, seem to be the 18 volumes of the original Alice in Borderland manga.
  13. And don't forget the fleet of private jets at our disposal to get there and back again. Yes, the fee stays, @omnilegentangel. Just get it firmly in your head that the fee is there, and that you'd have to pay for own website, hosting, qualified leads, payment provider, etc. otherwise, too, and that you need to figure it into your calculations, and then never again let it bother you. That will make everything more pleasant.
  14. It seems you forgot "Pole Dancing" in your list. Anyhow, not playing any of the above, mostly, at the moment, I'm unhypedly retroey offline-playing Strangerous. It has four cats, so it's better than the above. 😼
  15. I was debating whether I'm dreadful or just full of dread, but as it seemed to be just the right lite reading while sitting in this new posh thing in an ancient house that roast its own coffee, on one of the very few (1/4🎼) seating options, speak bar stools, facing the windows, like in an aquarium, while you have everyone, from Swiftly himself to any rare coffee bean customer, in your back, I just told myself "whatever", which made the coffee machine cough as if it had caught the latest virus variant - I don't believe in coincidence, not if it's related to Swiftly even in the slightest - and read on. I'm feeling a little less dreadful now, than after scanning the forum thread titles, thank you. I still owe you an espresso. Someday. Make that a doppio, as a sentence for that far too long sentence above. That is, if I ever make it out of here alive. The hole that I feel someone is staring into my back, feels more daggerlike minute by minute. (No, nothing to do with me occupying 1/4 chair(s), I think not, am the only one having put up with this sitting arrangement so far. But maybe I should order another cup, just in case, don't want to miss the next episode by being ten feet under, or ten feet behind that ominously looking backdoor.)
  16. In theory, maybe, you can ask. If you take a look at diverse forum threads, however, you'll probably get to the conclusion that it might be a better idea not to. Well, obviously, you can, but you risk consequences if you do. Following the "instructions" of just one random person without verifying, is often a bad idea. Generally, I'd definitely not recommend asking for feedback to anyone whose English isn't impeccable, and may leave room for a buyer to misunderstand, feel pressured in any way. Personally, I'm not a fan of asking for feedback at all, and I don't. People have different thresholds. I've ordered from a TRS a while ago, and they asked for feedback. Right when I actually was in the very act of formulating a nice one. I'm a very unpushy person myself, and it seriously made me consider to not leave feedback. I did, in the end, because I'm mainly a seller and know how helpful feedback is, but I'd probably not have left it had I just been on Fiverr as a buyer. And while I wouldn't have gone as far as reporting them for asking (they didn't ask for five stars or anything the like, in a quasi-manipulative way, which probably is the main issue with the "asking for feedback" practice", just for a review, after all, even though the way it was done, an additional message, not just by the by in the necessary delivery message, etc., did annoy me), you never know, some buyers might. Or support might look at the conversation for some other reason and think it crosses the boundaries, even it it might just be a language or cultural barrier at work. That's one additional POV, from another random TRS. If it's what you say, and you just asked in a very neutral and not pushy way, I think you have a good chance of keeping your account. If it's something else, or they noticed something else while reviewing your account, which might violate some or other rule or policy, of course, no way of telling. If you won't get your account back and really think you've been wronged and have a case to make, I'd recommend to not open another account to appeal via support ticket (might be counted as another violation of terms), but do it via direct email to support. edited to add: As for sharing screenshots, it should be fine, as long as you blur or something usernames or other identifiable information.
  17. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing a bug with briefs, Vickie. 😉 Joking, of course, congrats, must be your lucky month, you should play the lottery!
  18. Buyer stats and fast support (if so; I guess it still depends on how many support people are available, how long their queues are, etc., there has been one or two times, where I thought, support was faster for me, as a TRS, before seller+ came into the picture) before anything else by a mile. And since I had fast support already, I'd have to choose buyer stats if only one.
  19. Generally, my experience with asking support to cancel orders that someone ordered out of scope of my Gig, are good. It won't hurt to try. If they agree, at least it won't affect your stats visibly. Personally, I don't think that there's zero effect at all (but I may be a little paranoid), but if you can't or don't want to do an order, you don't really have another option than cancel yourself (and even then, the customer would have to accept the cancellation request, they can also decline), or ask support to cancel for you. I'd say that probably everyone who is here long enough, eventually, or from time to time, gets an order they can't or don't want to do, and not for any fault of theirs or any reason they should be held accountable for. Of course, it will affect people who don't get many orders more, but I fear that's just how things are. Anyway, if you're sure it's not your fault, and can prove it (send a screenshot of the pertinent conversation), I think you have a good chance with support.
  20. Firstly, congratulations on your two years. Many register, but many don't reach that mark, for sure, it's easy to enter, but not for the faint of heart to stay. 😉 I can only reiterate the "girl, raise your prices", and "more Gigs". I'd also suggest, if you're going to edit your Gigs anyway, go all the way, don't just edit your descriptions, write them anew from scratch, exchange all the Gig images, rethink your Gig tier structures, try thinking of setting up one Gig that does not utilise the 3 tiers, but is super easy to understand and click (I know, everyone says use the tiers, but I just relaunched a Gig that had 3 tiers, and which I'd paused for a while even, while pondering how to restructure it, and finally thought, what the heck, and published it with just one tier, which would've been the highest priced of the formerly three, and pretty much immediately got a direct order. It's to be seen if it will really catch on, but a nice start, so far, and worth a try. I think many people are confused by the 3-tier structure, so if you offer a "simpler" option, maybe it helps those lost in Fiverr Gig options people to decide). I'd also second the suggestion for a wider variety of samples, poems, kid's rhymes, rhymed riddles, etc. Maybe one focus on song lyrics might be worth a thought, too. I very much understand your reservations about an actual photo, but maybe grant yourself a shiny new profile image for the new year and your third Fiverr year, anyhow. Whether you'd call it rebranding, overhaul, or a new paint coat, maybe grant yourself a new (out)look, you've earned it, and it could motivate and inspire you to new heights and Gigs, looking at something new. In any case, have fun trying out some things, you never know, and you can trash anything that won't work, after all, to make room for new things. Lastly, don't worry too much, I think most if not all of us have seen such lulls in orders. But still get doing, of course. 🙂
  21. This. As to why you don't receive relevant requests as a chemistry teacher, it's most probably due to there not being enough demand for what you're offering here. Maybe try offering tutoring for pupils/students locally, if you haven't already. When trying to come up with services on Fiverr, keep in mind that some things having to do with anything "academic" are not permitted or iffy. To be safe, if in doubt, I'd check with support before publishing a Gig in that field.
  22. Just a joke, I love manga and anime myself, I just meant you might get customers who know the terms "baka" or "hen(tai)", and either are baka and hen na hito themselves, and thus attracted to your username, hoping to meet a kindred soul, or think you are baka, and they can exploit that! 😉 Just joking, although here have been people complaining about creeps on the forum before, where their username may have been part of the issue, actually. But you'll surely get many lovely customers who aren't creepy at all.
  23. Regarding "too long to read", I once tried this, straight to the point, pictogram style, and nicely searchable... (by the way, did anyone else notice how incredibly many forum topic titles tell you absolutely zero about the topic, and gave up on opening any topics that don't at least hint at whether there's any sense in your opening them or not...)
  24. ( Redacted the quote a little, suman 😉 ) Ah, I've tried insisting on an actual explanation in two such cases, too. If memory serves, in the one case, it was "my son ordered accidentally" (don't ask me why people park their offspring in front of a logged-in Fiverr window instead of Disney Channel, maybe in the hopes of raising the next Fiverr millionaire by early exposure), in the other, I did get an apology that I hadn't asked for but not an explanation that I had asked for.
  25. Fees and paywalls certainly wouldn't be the cure-all that some people who are only aware of the tips of the icebergs might think or make them out to be, but I'm also rather sure they'd help at least to a certain degree, which is probably what markp and others who do see a little deeper, mean. Ironically, the lower the criminal energy, the more the countermeasures will help.
