During my lunch break just a few hours ago, a coworker of mine asked me about Fiverr. He’s a good friend so I honestly told him how much I make. Now he’s interested in making his own account!
He’s from Brazil and can speak 3 languages, I get the feeling he might do well…:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hello @ignareint,
Feel fee to message me anytime through my Fiverr message box. 🙂

I went and checked your gig, it can be hard to get orders for translation gigs since it’s pretty competitive, this is just a personal suggestion but it might be a good idea if you create a video of you talking in both languages so you can prove to your buyers that you are capable of speaking the languages.

I hope you can proudly announce that you made $ 🍀 soon!

Hey there, well noted - will DM you on Fiverr if the project is confirmed. 🙂

And thanks for checking my gigs, but I dislike showing myself in a video so I’ll just take it easy. I do get quite good projects outside Fiverr through personal connection and luck on top of my day job, so I’m happy and grateful. 😉

Different cultures - different views. I have no problem with that. I even find it important. Live in a country where it is a total taboo. In German-speaking countries, no one ever talks about money.

Can i know why they don’t ask?

Tips : try to not focus on only one niche,

Focusing on only one niche has helped me be great at one thing and has made me more income last November than most of the sellers who have posted in this thread.

I totally agree with you, Vickie. I have two gigs only (I’m allowed 30) and these are in one niche. I feel it helps to define the seller as a specialist when the gigs are well aligned.

I enjoy the thread.🙂

It is a real motivation to see Sellers revealing their earnings.

However, it may turn to another influx of doubtful Sellers who want to succeed in Photoshop editing, Logo design, Media marketing etc. because they only see hundreds or even thousands of dollars but have no clue how to achieve a level to actually earn such money.

I partially covered this issue on my last post here on the forum.

How people always look at someone’s “success” in absolute numbers and compare their journey with them, unfairly.

We need a lot of clarity when we discuss things like this.

The OP had a pretty straightforward question, and it seems like they wanted to get motivated by learning what the earning potential is for some sellers.

I posted a number, others posted higher ones.

It’s good to see high numbers being thrown around, but other than some motivation it doesn’t offer any insights for people who want to actually find the same “success”.

Motivation is great and all, but I’d take small goals and consistent effort over it, any day of the week.

For example I am not motivated at all these past few days, but I keep working on my craft, current orders, and personal side projects, as if nothing is wrong.

It’s called “work” for a reason.

That’s what will get me some revenue this month and in 3 months time. Not the one day I wake up feeling inspired.

does my comment broke a rule ? i asked about that i cannot get my money and i contact customer support and they said there is no problem preventing me from getting my fund, but i still cant get it 🙂 … so what the problem with my comment?

does my comment broke a rule? …so what the problem with my comment?

Two of your comments in this thread break the rules because the subject of this thread is how much money sellers made in November. Your comment is about something else that has nothing to do with the topic so your comment is off-topic which is against the Forum Rules.

I hope NOT to get flagged for answering you!

Oh, @zespeeddesigner, now you have gone and broken another Forum rule by posting in another language without a translation. Tsk, tsk. I will not flag you, but someone else may unless you provide a translation.

I’m not even surprised anymore :man_shrugging: as i said in french it’s hard to handle multilingualism ! oh wait am i going to be flagged for being pretentious?

I put it through Google Translate, yo could too. It gives a rough idea of the meaning.

Google Translation ?? oh god hope you ain’t using with your client, hopefully ! because i went there and saw that he translated “Jouissif / Juicif” to “Jewish” hell no ! Jouissif means Enjoyable and can be used as metaphor !

It’s because you spelled it wrong. Spell it right and the translation will be accurate. 😅

People :man_facepalming: by the gods please understand the meaning of metaphor. I’m a C2 French Level certified by the french republic ! I swear that i’m heavily disappointed today.

It is good for you to experience some disappointment in your life. We grow from our struggles!

Sinon (Otherwise) i see that the topic went out from it’s original idea, but of course when a 3 years old account do such manners, “Certains font les cruches” (In your dear Google Translation Certains font les cruches has been translated “some do pitchers”) and this is of course wrong and i mean by that : some people tend to not see what happened.

I’ll gladly from now, totally ignore answers of some users here, to avoid negativity and to maintain what remains from of the platform.

I’m a native French speaker. What you said was a pun ( a play of words with juif (jewish) and jouissif (enjoyable)) not a metaphor. I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t get the pun.

“Faire les cruches”, means “acting like idiots”. I think you’ve got it mixed up with “faire l’autruche” which means “putting your head in the sand” (which google translate, translate accurately by the way).

Anyway, It’s not the subject of this post so I’ll stop there, but I thought it be good to point it out, because I’m pretty sure you could get flagged again for calling people idiots even if it’s not what you meant…or maybe it is what you meant, I don’t know.

You took so much time to answer tho, honestly if i’m getting flagged again i’ll leave the platform for real because i’m witnessing a lot of unfairity.
