Launching Promoted Gigs

Its strictly for level two and TS sellers

The help says it’s only for level 2 and TRS, though one Fiverr seller on the forum who is level 1 but close to level 2 in earnings said they had it. I think they fulfil all the criteria except being level 2.

So after about 5 days of being on the promoted gigs, I got a message that I could promote an additional gig. So I added another gig.

After starting the promoted gigs I have about 65 impressions, 15 clicks and no orders from the promotions. However, the promotions can be on the same page as your organic impression so I think it gives the orders an increase just by your gigs appearing twice as much.

Some gigs literally 4-5 on the first page.

I have never scene the AD badge anywhere on any gig though that is still a mystery. Does anyone have a screenshot of that?

It makes me wonder who are the people clicking on the Ads? They must be new buyers who don’t want to take the time to search properly for what they need.

Just wondering what other seller feedback is.

Hi. I was just shocked to receive message:

image.png.b187810150c9e8c2f9cd945d133ca896.png

I have been level two for less then a month and I do not think any of my GIGs qualifies for promotion so I just wanted to share how it was completely unexpected to get this.

I am kinda scared now since they give me option to promote my two gigs that are already on first page all the time.

I have like 13 clicks a days without promotion, and being on first page so i do not want to risk anything with promoting them.

This is insane!! I loved this concept and thank you Fiverr.

One thing I would like to suggest to Fiverr that " Please reduce the pending clearance period. Because 14 days is too much longer period for sellers."

I hope the Fiverr seller community will be agreed with me.

Happy Freelancing! ✌️

Because 14 days is too much longer period for sellers.

No it is not. It is same as with regular salary. You do not get it immediately but according to law they have 15 days in next month to give you salary.

Maybe in your country you get salary for this month on the last day of the month but in Europe (most countries) salary is paid around mid of next month. So “waiting period” 15 days.

risk anything with promoting them.

Impression & clicks from ads counted separately, If any of your gig is selected to run an ad you may have a $10 gift from Fiverr. I would recommend you to try it.

I got that message saying I could promote too, a couple of hours ago. I think they’ve recently added more eligible subcategories. They preselected 2 gigs for it even though one of those gigs only has 11 reviews and the help says a gig has to have at least 30 reviews to be able to promote it.

Thank you for this information. So organic clicks are separate from promoted. It is just a little pointless for the two GIGs selected since if I search any of the words in the GIG my both GIGs are on the first page in the first three rows so I do not see how can promotion help, I am already on TOP as much as I can be.

They preselected 2 gigs for it even though one of those gigs only has 11 reviews

Same for me, so I am not the only one, they are obviously expanding from Beta testing.

None of my GIGs has over 30. And both are on top so I gain nothing by promoting.

I thought it was only for sellers who are level 2 and above (and only hand-picked ones out of those) and so those with lower levels won’t currently see it anywhere.

Though it seems like it’s not the current dashboard - it’s a different dashboard to manage your ads I think (ie. the Promoted Gigs Dashboard).

edit: It seems like an option would show at the top of the normal Fiverr screen (like when you’ve clicked dashboard or something similar) for “Promoted Gigs” in-between “Analytics” and “Earnings” (based on the video).

Please how can I get a promotion gig

I’m new to fiverr and I need it

The help says you need to be at least level 2 or TRS, though one forum user who is level 1 but close to level 2 has the option. So you probably need to be either >= level 2 or at least level 1 and close to level 2.

I see that’s the reason why I got that message, and I thought they mistakenly send it to me.

So I just got this feature and when I click it, it seems to only offer me to promote my best-selling gig (not the other two that I’d maybe be interested to try and boost). Unless all the organic clicks/orders magically vanish after this invitation, I don’t see a point of using this at the moment.

I already tried beta … and it worked for me … got 2 Projects ($250) … and i only spent around $4 in promoting Gig… More Exciting Things from Fiverr… Thank you

Well this only makes sense for people that have a pricey gig. If you just have $5 gigs, then you will spend more than what you’re making…

I would imagine those categories aren’t eligible. A top rated seller or level 2 is probably sufficiently skilled to not need to sell their labour for $5 and finally the cost of clicks is tied to the demand of them based on their inherent value to the person bidding for them.

Just like any market. Adverts for a category that was predominantly $5 would likely have a far lower click price.

I do sell at the $5 price point myself. And for me it doesn’t make sense to promote my gigs with this feature.

I really feel that my explanation of supply and demand as it applies to advertising was wasted

I don’t have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is saying that $5 pricing is for people that aren’t skilled basically. That’s obviously not true. I’ve been keeping the same $5 price for 7 years now. Anyway it’s your opinion, I respect it, I just don’t have to agree 🙂

Statistically speaking I stand by what I say. You are obviously an exception to the rule. Offering high quality services at a price that is almost charitable.

You are rare.

Your philanthropy knows no limits.

I doff my hat and beg a statue is carved in your honour.

But for the vast majority of cases that is the case.

Your problem was initially on the advertising cost.

I advised why you had little to worry.

Now you’ve moved your ‘problem’ to me now not being aware of your largesse to society with these skilled gigs, seven years in at $5.

The Rule — Not the exception. This is what is being talked about.

I was talking about myself. And in general, I don’t see the benefit of spending $1 to get a $5 gig. Or whatever the cost might be. I was invited to the program recently, but I still didn’t promote anything, even if my gigs are removed from search right now. I just don’t see any benefit for people that charge $5 for a gig to use this. But it’s a forum and we are all allowed to have different opinions.

Well it’s good to stick to the topic.

There is no $1 additional advertising charge for a $5 gig for anyone thinking this statement has been made based on any evidence.

It’s not, it’s just the user wants to make clear that were there to be a $1 advertising charge for his $5 gigs, he definitely wouldn’t want to pay it.

Now we are all clear, we can move on

You need to be competitive in order to actually have your stuff on the first page. That means paying more for advertising when compared to others. That also means not every person clicking will buy your stuff at $5. That also means you will most likely have to pay upwards of $1 to make a sale. It’s just an assumption, true, but clearly you can expect to pay quite a bit until you get a sale. I saw the most competitive prices per click for writing are around $0.10 or $0.15 per click. Not every click gives you a sale.

So, you should ask before judging. My initial post was that it’s too expensive for someone selling at the $5 price to actually make sense. It’s barely worth it if you get organic sales. For ad-based sales, you will pay quite a bit just to obtain a sale, and the $5 price also includes your work.

So it’s clear you need to spend quite a bit on ads to make a sale. Don’t expect a single click to giveyou a sale. Saying that would just mislead people.

Nowhere did I state what the cost would be for $5 gigs. Nor did I suggest that one click equals one sale.

Anecdotally we have seen others suggest that they have received gig sales for pennies, but i make no claim other than, if advertisers don’t see value in an ad, they don’t buy it.

Just as I wouldn’t buy a steak if it was 90$ and my salary hadn’t changed.

I’m explaining how pricing dynamics work in general as an economic theory. Elasticity of demand etc.

Please don’t add false context.

But we get it - if your being asked to pay $1 to advertise your $5 gig, you wouldn’t be happy.

Shame your writing is better than your reading, then you would stop pretending I’m saying something else, so you can make your point seem relevant.

Don’t add false context. Don’t be disingenuous as to what you’re replying to.

It’s somewhat contemptuous.
