  1. Hi @qasimkhan929 - There's no reason not to communicate with your buyer before making a delivery. Thank them for placing an order and summarize the agreements and activities that took place in the inbox. Then let them know that you met all of the buyer's requirements and you will be sending a delivery shortly. Allow the buyer time to respond, to either confirm that the project meets their requirements or to make any other comments before sending the final delivery.

    To be truthful, you would need to set your English language abilities to "Conversational," and disclose in your bio that you use ChatGPT. You don't need to say you are fluent when you are not. However, your ability to spell does have an impact on SEO, so that would impact whether a buyer would want to work with you or not.

    Hi @ejazwali1, you can use your digital marketing expertise to help you get more clicks, orders, and impressions on Fiverr:

    1. Impressions. Pay attention to the keywords that you are using in your gig titles, gig descriptions, and packages. Correct the misspellings you have and watch your use of abbreviations - make sure to use the exact terms that your buyers will be using when searching for your services so that your gigs will be relevant to their searches. You have two great reviews, so that will also affect your visibility in search. As you gain more orders and deliver quality work, your gig will be seen as more relevant for buyers when they search for your services (this is really the best way to get more orders and visibility on Fiverr's platform).

    2. Clicks. Clicks are related to how attractive your gigs are to buyers when your gigs (along with all of your competitors' gigs) show up in search. Buyers only have a few seconds of scanning through the search results to find the gigs that attract the eye. If your clicks are low, that means buyers are passing over your gigs and clicking on the gigs of other sellers. Buyers can see your gig videos (so fix the typos there), gig images, your ratings, seller level and prices. Set a thumbnail image for all of your gig videos so it's easy for buyers to tell at a glance what service you are offering. Once your video is approved by Fiverr, you can hover over your video to edit and select your thumbnail image. The thumbnail image should only have 1-5 words that clearly describe your services. The goal for clicks is to get buyers to visit your profile and gigs.

    3. Orders. Once buyers visit your profile and gigs, it is up to you to convince them that you are the seller who will take care of them and solve their problems. Your profile is your business card to your buyers, and how you present yourself here is extremely important, especially when you only have a few reviews/social proof. Communicate professionalism, credibility, and trustworthiness. Make sure you aren't promising results that you can't deliver (e.g., "watch your sales skyrocket") or selling yourself too cheap. You don't have to start at $5 prices. I think your Portfolio section is off to a great start but you could also take advantage of your gig galleries. You get 3 images, 2 PDFs (with unlimited pages), and a gig video to show buyers what you can do for them. You can also utilize the FAQ section more and think through your packages so that they provide the best value for your target customers. If done right, your messaging, images, and work samples will resonate with your buyers and they will contact you in your inbox to find out how they can place an order with you.

    You are still new, so take advantage of what the Help Center and Forum have to offer you. Post less, read more, and you'll learn a lot about how to grow your business on Fiverr. I wish you the best of luck!

    They are probably ignoring you because you mentioned "Fiverr account accidentally deactivated" and CS is getting a lot of spammy tickets right now by sellers whose accounts were deactivated/flagged by Fiverr (intentionally). They might have lumped you into that same group of sellers. @Lena or @milos_siena, do you think you can help @warmtone66 (whose younger brother accidentally deleted her Fiverr account)? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @lifatlabib, You can mention the generic service that you offered (as you listed above, since the related gig will show up next to the review), but don't mention the buyer's name or details of their specific project. This information is confidential and should be kept private unless the buyer has given you permission to share it.

  6. HI @warmtone66 - You'll have to create a help desk ticket by emailing Fiverr CS at support@fiverr.com to reactivate your account. I also had my account accidentally deleted. This caused all orders in queue to be deleted (but the order that I delivered minutes before my account got deleted was okay). It took 2 days for CS to respond to the ticket and 4 days for me to be able to log on and communicate with my buyers again.

    Several buyers were disgruntled (they thought I abandoned them, especially the order that was just delivered). I was lucky that this buyer didn't leave a negative public review (but she may have left a negative private review). I dropped a Seller Level (due to the mass cancellations of all of my orders in queue) and even though CS restored my seller level a few days later, there were additional quality metrics in the automated system that were damaged from that incident. It took me about 4 months for my seller stats to recover from that incident.

    So even though it is possible to get your account back, be prepared for the worst. Your buyer may cancel the order (and you might not get paid). The buyer may leave a negative private or public review. Your seller stats may be damaged from this incident and it can be hard to recover. But it can be done! I wish you the best of luck getting your account back!

    Hi @desmond_aubery! You might have to utilize transferable skills to gain traction and a reputation here on Fiverr first. Before I started selling on Fiverr, I wanted to leverage my 17 years of experience as a food scientist, but there were only 20 related gigs at the time (and at incredibly low prices that were a fraction of what I was willing to do as a food scientist). So I offered services that were more in demand (e.g., data entry, virtual assisting, and resume writing) and was able to freelance full-time for a year and a half before I became TRS and started to get more orders that were more in line with my technical writing and documentation background.

  8. Hi @besnick_s, You are in a very competitive category, competing against other sellers offering similar services, with over 51,000+ gigs showing up when one searches for "data entry." It's not the pricing you should be worried about. You can probably charge $25 or more if you differentiate your services enough and clearly show buyers the value that you can provide for them. The problem that I see with most data entry specialists is that they look too similar, and there's nothing that makes them stand out from the 51k+ other gigs on Fiverr offering the same services.

    I also started with a "data entry" gig where I update technical business documents (mostly in Word or Excel) and perform research. This is a niche area where I work mostly with educational institutions, nonprofits, and businesses. I also branched out into "Website Content" where I audit and write website content, "Course Designs" where I build Thinkific courses for clients, and other gigs that are relevant to the clientele that I target.

    Define the clients that you want to work with. What are their pain points? Why should they work with you? Target your seller profile to those buyers and adjust as you start getting inquiries and orders.

    In your portfolio, you have 5 images in one portfolio - split that up into 5 different portfolios so that you can showcase each project and highlight the value you provided in each project that you worked on. Add more to your portfolio, because this can really help to make you stand out from the pack. With over 20+ years of experience, this shouldn't be hard for you to do.

    You also only have one, generic gig. After you define your clients, tailor your gigs to them. What services do they need? Most likely, you can provide several different services and can average 3-5 orders or more per buyer because you are the one-stop shop where they can get the services that they are looking for. This will also help your business grow faster. You have so many skills and specializations that you should have more than one gig. Have a gig on data entry, one on data visualization, one on virtual assisting. Tailor them to the customers that you are targeting (e.g., don't just list the services you provide, use the gig description to tell a story and give compelling reasons why they should work with you).

    Even though it may seem like 2 months is a long time without orders, this isn't uncommon for new sellers with zero orders and zero reviews. Right now, your profile is your business card, and what will convince buyers to buy from you even when your profile is lacking in reviews and orders. So do spend the time to give your portfolio/profile the professionalism and credibility it needs to stand out so that buyers will want to work with you.

  9. I direct my buyers directly to other sellers by sharing the seller's link with my buyer. If my buyer really want to work through me, even after I share the other freelancer's link and prices, then I charge a project management fee that covers for the time and liability I take on to ensure the quality of all of the work the buyer needs including what I may do for the buyer. For example, I might do the writing and curriculum alignment while other sellers may do data entry or voiceovers.

    HI @developerlikhon - It may take some time before you can figure out your security code. Right now is a really stressful time for you, so you might want to try answering your security questions when you aren't so anxious. I know when my husband passed away, it took me a long time to figure out his unlock code for his iPhone. All the codes I could think of initially didn't work, and each time I tried, the wait time to try a new code increased, by hours, and then by days.  So I took a much needed break for several weeks. Once my head stopped spinning and I could think more clearly, the unlock code just came to me. I hope the same for you.

    I can understand your distress as well - My Fiverr account was hacked into last year due to clicking on a link to a "resume" that I was supposed to view but couldn't bring up. Shortly after clicking on the link, I was kicked out of my Fiverr account and I found out that my account no longer existed - the hacker withdrew all my Earnings and put in a request to shut down my account. I really thought it was the end of my Fiverr career and had little hope for my account being restored.

    It was very scary because it was the only source of income for my family at the time. I was very lucky that my account was restored. The mass cancellations of all orders in queue brought my level temporarily to Level 1 but I was brought back up to Level 2 very quickly, and after five months, I was able to reach TRS status and my highest earnings on Fiverr. My husband passed away around that time, so things have changed since then. But I'm doing what you are doing - trying to recover and rebuild from what has happened. I really hope you can recover from the hacking and wish the best for you and your business! 💗

I have "Order cancellations" showing as "Room for growth" on a gig that has only 1 cancellation (and Fiverr CS just confirmed today that this is not being counted towards my Success Score - this order was in "incomplete status" for months because I never got the order requirements, so I eventually canceled it). When I asked why I had "Order cancellations" showing as "Room for growth," Fiverr CS told me that my history is being compared to other freelancers in the same category/pricing and then suggested that I improve my communication by visiting the Communication Best Practices hub. This answer doesn't provide much clarity but it's probably the best answer CS can give us.

    I don't really like the Brief system as a buyer. I don't think it makes good matches and it gives sellers access to your inbox if they message you or send you an offer. I prefer to just use Fiverr's search to find my sellers.

    You can't see your requests until someone (an interested seller) responds to your request. Once you post your request, Fiverr's matching system will match you with different sellers. If they are interested, they will contact you or send you an offer. If they aren't interested, you may never see your request again. You can only access your request if an interested seller contacts you (and you can access it from the message the seller sends).

    Unfortunately, this isn't possible with how Fiverr has its Brief & Match system set up - which is for you to enter information and Fiverr's system to do the matching. I choose not to work with this system because I like to vet my sellers on my own, which seems to be what you are doing. I usually just save my briefs to a Word doc template that I can share with any seller that needs to see my project details. You do need to be careful to customize your message to each seller (if you send the same exact message to multiple sellers, your account may be flagged as spam).

    Having two accounts is against Fiverr's ToS, even if done by mistake, but hopefully Fiverr support can help you delete the second one that you accidentally created.

    Since Fiverr now allows reviews for orders that had deliveries (but were canceled), she could still leave a bad review. The only difference would be that her public review would be marked as a "canceled" order and you don't get paid for your work.

    I've only had 1 buyer who gave me this type of feedback and I did cancel. The buyer was vague and didn't know what she wanted - she only said "I'll know it when I see it." After a week of back and forth with very little input on her part, I could see that I was wasting both her time and my own, so I had no problem giving her a refund. Since the buyer knew I was watching out for her best interest, she was grateful for the way that the order was handled.

    Normally, if there are just minor changes (not major changes) that need to be made, yes, a buyer can submit a revision request to get that done. As @newsmike says, each seller is responsible for letting their buyers know what changes are allowed in a revision request. For example, I am willing to rewrite a work experience on a resume, but I won't give a completely new design or optimize the resume for another industry.

    If a buyer were to find a mistake that I made, I'd make the changes for free and wouldn't count it as a revision. I think many sellers would do the same, but do check with your sellers first to make sure.

    When it comes to "poor quality," do as @newsmike suggests and request a revision. Do this at least once. Be very clear about why you think it is poor quality and why it doesn't meet your expectations. You don't have to point out every single issue, just give a few examples. Sometimes deliveries perceived as "bad quality" are the result of miscommunication. This can usually be corrected with one or two revisions. Other times, the "bad deliveries" are clearly "poor in quality" and this can also be discovered within one revision. At that point, kindly tell the seller that they will not be able to meet your expectations, and submit a request to cancel the order.

  14. Hi @lichanna, As a beta reader, it is your responsibility to tell your readers what services you are offering and what they can expect. What genres do you read or not read? What criteria are you using to review their book? How will your report look like? Do you offer inline commentary or will you only be offering your feedback by report?

    If you are clear on what you are offering, it's hard to disappoint your buyers because you will deliver exactly what you say you will deliver. If you are worried about your services, spend more time refining your gig until you are sure you understand all of the details that are needed to provide a smooth customer experience for your buyers.

    As a beta reader, I give my buyers a grade based on 10 literary focus points (the score is out of 100 pts). If the buyer wants to include their own set of criteria, I incorporate that into my report. Sometimes my reports are long (my longest report was 24 pages full of examples), but sometimes buyers only want simple feedback - they just want to know your impressions and the factors affecting reader attrition in 200 words or less. Most of my reports are no longer than 5 pages, with inline commentary in a Word doc (or annotations/comments in a PDF).

    Though you are a seller plus member, I think you have encountered this situation before. 

    This has nothing to do with forum badges but it does touch on the things you should be using the forum for - to learn, grow, share, and connect with others on the forum. If you're interested in growing your business, I think @priyank_mod offered great advice.

    Staying "busy" on the forum chasing badges is not a good use of your time (as @priyank_mod advises). Forum badges won't help you make money. If anything, it uses up valuable time you could be using to improve your business.

    I wasn't active on the forum until I was a Level 2 seller. I tried as a newbie seller once, but the forum was so full of bad advice and spam that it was hard to know who to listen to. The Help Center had all the information I needed to grow my business to the point that I was confident that I could identify bad advice if I saw it.

    I haven't heard from them since, but I know the tech team has a lot on their hands (the site has been glitchy) and I do see the "last activity" on the ticket update, so I'm guessing they're following up every few days or so. I'm just keeping the ticket open to see how long this will stay open.

    It's a combination of what you and @smashradio are talking about - you are looking for a service that is in demand (buyers need it) and @smashradio is emphasizing an important point - you actually have to be very good at what you do. This article might help you find out the best services to offer to your buyers:

    @tubaasnari - Can you answer this question as well? ⬆️ I'm trying to figure out why you were given a 90-day account review - that usually happens when an account is flagged for violating Fiverr's ToS. Why was your account disabled? Was it flagged?

    For me, Fiverr was able to confirm pretty quickly that the hacker logged in to my account (bypassing the 2-factor authentication) and withdrew to a different PayPal account before submitting a request to shut down my account. Since it was all done on Fiverr's platform, Fiverr was able to confirm the suspicious activity, restore my account, and compensate me for my loss. My account was temporarily disabled until I completed all the security measures to protect my account, but it was never suspended, or flagged for review by the Trust & Safety team.

  19. I love it, @emmaki! Great use of negative space and a much better color scheme than Fiverr's new design.

    I think your buyers will appreciate it, too!

    I like how you mentioned how Fiverr handles the payments - many buyers think sellers get paid as soon as the order is placed (and don't realize that Fiverr takes off 20% from the top and the seller might not get the payment until 14 days after the order closes). Some buyers also think that sellers can see and quote in their currency and that the seller is sending them annoying reminders to tip.

    Most of my buyers have questions about buttons that they see, so that's why I always save screenshots of my experiences whenever I buy.
