I'd suggest you start in the "Tips for Sellers" category, and the Fiverr Help Center. https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/282146-how-to-be-successful-on-fiverr-common-questions-answered-and-a-collection-of-great-posts-that-helped-me-achieve-trs/ https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360010949038-4-Things-to-Do-Before-Creating-Your-Gig?segment=seller

Dear Moderators: Please do something about this
imagination7413 replied to smashradio's topic in Forum Feedback
To fiction writers/readers/gamers, a story's villain is indeed Serious Business! Memorable villains to contrast and hinder the hero are just as critical to get right as the hero themselves. --- Moved the topic to Forum Feedback, since there is a teasing/joking tone to it. Ranting Pot does have some not-serious rants in it, but usually the grievances are indeed serious. -
If you've already provided all the details to Fiverr customer support, then there's nothing to do but wait.
-
That's only in the "Improve My Gig" section. OP is referring to every other link in every other section. Also, those newcomers who ask for help, and never apply the suggestions are indeed just spam.

Need Buyer Advice~New Seller-Is this legit Buyer?
imagination7413 replied to elleo1's topic in Lounge
First question: not necessarily. It's your job as a Seller to have your gig requirements set up in such a way that Buyers can place an order with minimal barrier, while still getting all the information you need to fully complete an order. Second/third question: okay, THAT is definitely a red flag. If he's asking you for more contact, then YES, report the message and block the user. -
As to your first question, it's because those accounts joined the forum before the post limit was imposed. I'll admit that I don't know the exact criteria, but I do recall @vickieito wrote about outlasting the limitation. As to the second, I have been issuing warnings when I come across external contact info in a profile, but as @williambryan392 mentioned, we are limited in what we can do. I have to pass on a link to the profiles to one of the forum staff who does have editing permissions.

Via Google translate: Are there any warnings that show?

Hmm... Okay I've got one though it's similar to 'don't do work you haven't been paid for' but: Write out EXACTLY what IS and what is NOT a part of a custom order, and never even HINT that you'll include anything as a bonus. (aka 'under-promise')

imagination7413 replied to enunciator's topic in Forum Feedback
Not sure if that can be done (code wise). Invision (the platform) doesn't seem to have that option. I haven't read all the pages, though, so it might be under a different section. https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/suite-applications/forums_337/settings_454/forum-specific-settings-r334/ -
"Ignorance" and "desperation" would be the other two states of vulnerability. 'Ignorance' is not a bad word. I just means 'I don't know'. For example, I'm completely ignorant when it comes to car maintenance. That means I MUST trust someone else to do work on my car for me. This does make me vulnerable to shady shops that might insist I need to replace my blinker fluid, but this is why self-awareness is critical. I know myself enough to identify my weaknesses, to get second opinions, and to seek out information to self-educate. (Thus your first point: "Read the ToS".) Desperate people are more likely to take risks and gamble, even if, were they not stressed, they would NEVER do a 'thing' that they would otherwise know was foolish. I've watched a few scam-baiter videos recently and... well, I'll just let them speak for themselves: https://youtu.be/tuVWGIBYVCU?t=766. (BTW, thank you for sharing your experience with Fiverr thus far.)

Buyer put "DM ME FOR THE REQUIREMENTS" for the order requirements
imagination7413 replied to mathisha_m's topic in Lounge
It's a bit unusual that an order was placed, but yeah, that sounds more like a view-grab. -
Not getting orders? YOU(r gigs) might be the issue

Oops. Already dealt with the "Zero-content bump" posts. Sorry? -
Buyer put "DM ME FOR THE REQUIREMENTS" for the order requirements
imagination7413 replied to mathisha_m's topic in Lounge
You said you replied, but not what you replied. Say "thank you for your order, you said to DM you for the requirements. What are they? I can't start until I have everything needed to do the work." I will caution you: brace yourself for the possibility that you might have to cancel. I know this is the first order you've gotten, but if you can't do the work, or if the Buyer doesn't actually have work for you, you won't have any choice.- 3 replies

Not getting orders? YOU(r gigs) might be the issue
imagination7413 replied to katakatica's topic in Tips from Sellers
I joined a bit before. My gigs could be better, but Fiverr is more of an on-the-side thing for me. I have a day job. -
You mean your thumbnails? For thumbnails, the aspect ratio is more important. This, for example, is what I see: The one on the left is a perfect fit for my desktop. On my tablet, though, that second thumbnail is skewed (squished) to fit in the thumbnail rather than cropped like on my desktop. Fiverr does have a recommendation, but it's not uniform across desktop/tablet/notebook/mobile. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about the resolution. Buyers will either be good enough to know that scaling an image messes with clarity, or unknowledgeable enough to be unable to tell the difference.

I noticed that you don't have any gigs yet. Using Brief Matching Process Effectively (Teach the AI)
imagination7413 replied to danno1950's topic in Tips from Sellers
No, but they are similar inthat they help Buyers find Sellers without needing to hunt through search results. (And that they are a bit of a mess, but at least we can report spam Briefs.) Buyer Requests are being phased out, though, so you're not likely to see them yourself.- 60 replies

From what I've seen and read, it depends on the device and monitor that the thumbnail is being displayed on. If you look at it on a tablet, for example, it will appear differently than on a desktop. (My tablet displays it correctly.)
