  1. Well, yes, but, to be fair, you have to admit that the entertainment quotient in the inbox can be quite high. If I didn't get a few entertaining messages within three weeks, I might wonder whether I entered some parallel universe, or they introduced at least some multiple choice test for common sense or such for registering accounts.
  2. Same, and even if their profile shows the US flag. You never know. And I've got so used to it that it doesn't even take conscious thought, I just always type US$. I rather waste time on that than on silly arguments. Try via the app. It has a block option where you don't have to choose "report/spam" but can just block. I'm using it to block spammers while away, so it works for people who haven't ordered.
  3. Of course they do? Nobody to spam = no spam. Never message anyone anywhere else than on Fiverr, spammer or not, if you don't want to lose your account even before your first sale. Set up a "Quick Response" (look it up in Fiverr's Seller Help Center, and while you're there and don't have orders yet, just read the whole thing) to quickly reply to people you suspect to be spammers but don't know for sure right away, to waste as little as possible time with them, because they are legion. And go and read Fiverr's terms of service, right away, before you do anything else on the platform. Then, read just about any info that Fiverr gives you. And, new sellers, please keep in mind that you do have to react even to spam (by replying and/or reporting/hitting the "Spam" button), to all and any spam, unless you want to watch your response rate and time take a dive. Again, if you're new, the very first thing you ought to do is read the ToS and Seller Help Center. Really.
  4. Lots of 🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊 in my drinks. I love silicone ice cube trays with fancy "cubes". I got🐧,🤍,🔷, and had polar bears, too, but they are gone somehow 🤔. Are fridges to ice cube trays what washing machines are to socks?
  5. You're welcome. Another tip - when using an international forum with people from all over the world, it's best to not say "Thanks Dear", just "Thanks", or "Thanks, (username) is more appropriate. Even better, as mentioned in the opening post under #4, unless you have to add anything to the post or discussion, you can use the "Thanks" symbol available in the reaction emoji below every post. Like that, you can express your thanks to a person who wrote a topic or post, without making the thread unnecessarily long to read through for others. Welcome to the forum.
  6. You can't delete topics or even posts on this forum, only moderators can do that. You can try if you can still edit the topic to move it to "Improve my Gig". The ability to edit topics and posts is limited to some specific time, though, so it might not be possible anymore. But as I've used the word "moderator", my post will be hidden until one of them checks it, and maybe they'll be nice and move the topic where it belongs then. (Hm, or not? It seemed to use to be that way) Don't worry about it, in any case, done is done, but it makes sense to look at the category descriptions before posting a topic.
  7. Those aren't clients, those are scammers. Don't pay them, don't even contact them anywhere else than on Fiverr, because if you do, you might not only get scammed out of your money, but also lose your account. Please do yourself the favour and read Fiverr's terms, as well as the Help Center articles to know how Fiverr works, and stick to that. As a seller, you're here to earn money, not pay money. The only fees you have to pay are Fiverr's 20% cut, and they'll automatically take those - after you've officially done and delivered an order on the order page. Do not contact anyone off-Fiverr. Do not pay anyone off-Fiverr, and on Fiverr, you only pay if you're the buyer, obviously. Report scammers who try to make you pay and/or contact them off-Fiverr (report button on their messages), so their accounts will be removed as fast as possible, and hopefully before anyone falls for their scam. Yes, it happens to lots of us, unfortunately, very often, lately. I hope you'll get some enquiries by actual clients soon, good luck.
  8. Even if I'd not know you're not in my category, now I would. Apparently you're not aware of the tons of buyer requests like "I need a very good typist for typing job" with budgets like $1500 for 1 day 😉 (this is just one example from today, there are many like that. Pity for OP and other typists, though, that all of these request contact elsewhere than Fiverr and thus are against the terms...) Joking, too, OP, unfortunately; these buyer requests exist, but those get rich quick by typing jobs not, they are scams. Be careful if you see such offers in BR, if the payment looks like a dream, it usually is, and especially in these cases, they want to get you to talk elsewhere for a reason. Refuse to talk to anyone elsewhere than on Fiverr, or you may not just get scammed but also lose your Fiverr account. Good luck with your Gig, anyway.
  9. There are 4x12 = 48 Gigs on the "front page". That's really all I can say anymore to this super common topic. The rest should be pretty obvious. (Unless you don't sell a common, but a super rare Gatcha, I mean, Gig, in which case, either you're doing something wrong, or there is no demand, even though/due to the Gig being super rare.) If you look at the URL of a "front page", you see "vertical-carousel" at the end, BTW, or at least I do; nomen est omen.
  10. BRIEF: https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/4415608857745-Brief--Match-Finding-you-sellers?segment=buyer vs BUYER REQUEST: Well, the latter only in theory, as Fiverr seems to have linked that incorrectly; that link from this passage in the Buyer Help Center leads to an article in the Seller Help Center, explaining to sellers in the seller+ program how briefs work, for some reason. If you read the whole page from which I took this passage, there's even a Fiverr mail you can contact if you can't find the service you're looking for with either of the described methods (browsing/searching and directly contacting a seller, using "Get a Quote", Briefs, BR): https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360049955673-Find-a-service-and-get-a-quote?segment=buyer
  11. Hi. Maybe you'll get more replies if you post in the correct forum section. This isn't something for "Questions" but for "Improve my Gig". It's also not allowed to post Gig links here, by the way, maybe read the forum rules when you have a moment to spare, and read the category descriptions, so you'll know what kind of stuff to post there. That will surely enhance your and others' forum experience.
  12. It's a scam attempt. Also, do not contact anyone off-Fiverr if they ask you to, be it on Telegram, WhatsApp, or anywhere else. Any communication and payment (from buyer to seller, not the other way around, obviously) needs to happen on Fiverr. If you communicate off-Fiverr, chances are good that you'll not just be scammed but also will lose your account. Please do yourself a favour and read both Fiverr's ToS and the Seller Help Center articles ASAP, so you'll know how things should work here and can protect yourself better from scam attempts and warnings or even a ban.
  13. Usually, I check the Events page every once in a while, to register for any webinars that might interest me, and noticed that the last two times I checked, as well as just now, there were only "local events" listed, not even one event in English, not a single event that I could register for, or at least that would make sense for me to attend, which was a first. I couldn't attend all Events (mostly webinars) that I registered for, in the end, sometimes life interfered, but quite a few of them, and I usually had a few in my calendar to look forward to. Do you happen to know if that's just coincidence, or if the "Events" page is completely for local affairs now, like the clubs are?
  14. I have a current incomplete order (direct order, worth $25, with zero communication from the customer), which I messaged them about on the order page on the day they ordered, and again recently, after giving them 14 days to dig out their file or ponder their requirements, or whatever, still no reaction. I was going to cancel it from my side (and see if the Help Center is right with its claim that you can cancel such orders without effect on your order completion rate, but maybe I should leave it be for scientific reasons, to find out what the purge time limit is 🤔 But... Yes, I think it would bother me eventually. It also might turn into a major inconvenience if the person suddenly decided to go through with their order, while I'm in hospital, on holidays, without wifi,...
  15. Then you may have contacted the wrong people. I'm a seller, but I've also bought two dozen or so Gigs, and communication wasn't an issue save in one case, where the seller never delivered nor responded (hopefully, they just abandoned their account), and I got a refund. In my opinion and experience, Fiverr is very safe for buyers, as long as they read and stick to the ToS, choose their sellers wisely, inform themselves (Buyer Help Center Articles) adequately about "how it works", and act accordingly in case of any red or deep orange flags from the seller. For sellers, it's far less safe, but that's another story. I'd really recommend reading the ToS, and the articles in the Buyer Help Center, that should prepare you for anything that might go awry, and, armed with knowledge about how the platform works, you should be far more ar ease, when making a purchase. There are so many buyers who make purchases here often, even on a daily basis, for years. It's a bit daunting when you start out, maybe, but with a little experience, it becomes easier, and if you know how things should work, you can also easily spot it if a seller "tries something funny". In any case, there are many people just like you, buyers and sellers, who just want to do business in a mutually beneficial way. You just need to find the right fit(s) for you.
  16. Hi there. If they don't respond, you could try asking support to cancel for you without it affecting your order completion rate. How you could avoid it in future, by making sure you have mandatory requirements on your Gig, including mandatory attachment of a file, if you haven't yet. Even that's not fail-proof, though, as there are people who just attach a random file and let you know they'll send the right one later... while the clock runs for you. It happens.
  17. There's no way, besides handing you links to very public Fiverr info which you should easily be able to find yourself and that perhaps have to do with your issues, that any forum member can help without more information, like what exactly your Gig was for, what exactly Fiverr gave as the reason for removing your Gig and disabling your account. It only makes sense to post and expect people to spend their time, if you give them at least the most basic info to work with. Else, they can only guess and may see that they just wasted their time, because of essential info only being added later on.
  18. If you want to sell something for US$5, think about what you can sell for US$5, either continually, or for a limited time. If you don't want to, let others do what they want, and focus on gaining realistic clients who'd agree with you that experienced people can't sell web applications for $5. They are out there.
  19. I was wondering if it might not be possible, and a good idea to restrict users to posting in 5 topics per day instead of to 5 posts? @frank_d, maybe something to discuss with the forum shepherds? If it's technically possible, that is, but this forum software seems so "mighty" that it might be Imagine you post a topic, or in a topic, people accuse you of whatever, maybe something really bad, and you can't reply and defend yourself because of that arbitrary posting limit. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I'm guessing that the reason for the limit is that new(er) users don't mass-open new topics, or post their "thanks for the awesome tips" in a hundred topics per day. I don't see much reason for restricting people from keeping up with a maybe lively discussion, a fun thread, a forum game topic, etc. (which may have run its course 24 hours later) in up to 5 topics per day, either, apart from the "ability to defend/speak for themselves" cases.
  20. Hi Rami, welcome to the forum. Actually... no. I completely ignored that bit. Life is too short to worry about other people. I walk alone, I walk alone 🎼 [Green Day] Don't overthink it; if you're good, and can get it across, you might be just fine, and the mountain might not be as high as you think.
  21. Well, it may be odd, but it's in Casual Conversations, so why not. You can add polls, when you create topics, by the way, might be easier than counting tons of replies by all the Ronaldo or Messi fans or foes who might reply. Ronaldo. But I'm biased, because I love Madeira and Funchal.
  22. In that case, I'd recommend reading through Fiverr's Help Center, before you encounter another situation that will or might badly affect you because you didn't know about basic platform features. Just in case you haven't, also read Fiverr's terms of service thoroughly. I don't know how often I've seen posts here by people who got a warning or even banned, because they didn't know about a rule or other. The ToS and Help Center articles are there, and "I didn't know" doesn't cut it. If you want to work on a platform and make the most out of it, read their info, it really helps. There are enough things already that can go wrong without any mistake/negligence on your side, so better try to avoid the avoidable things. 🙂 Best wishes, going ahead!
  23. 11. This made me go to YT and watch "The Downeaster Alexa" for the I don't know how manyth time. Of course, on Billy Joel's official channel. I love the number 11, by the way, like the supermarkets in my area that often stick €1.11 tags on the discounted items of the week. I think it's due to our local 11 fetish. While carnival usually is around February, 11/11 is the official start of carnival season, can't have enough carnival, after all. I think it would be best to deal with such things as a general "Amendment to forum rules needed?" discussion, whether in the background or in the community/public, or both, especially if it's a fine line, not in a concrete thread. Personally, I perceive it as borderline.
  24. At the moment, I'm re-watching Alice in Borderland, looking forward to season 2 in December.
  25. No idea. I do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done.
