  1. Actually that's the opposite. Canceling orders as a new seller is much better than having a bad review. If you have a 1-star review and that's your only review, the chances of getting new work are 0. Cancellations are tracked for 60 days, so you can easily get past that penalty in 2 months. But reviews stay with you forever.
  2. I believe you can leave a 5 star review from mobile without actually saying anything and it says outstanding experience. I think that was the case a while ago when a buyer did this for one of my orders. I could be wrong though.

  4. Unfortunately I am at the opposite side of the spectrum. I like the gamification aspect, but for me the forum is harder to browse now, and I am not as enticed to visit it often (as I was before). I am sure it's just me (or a few of us), and I understand you can't please everyone. I'll keep using the forum, but not as much as I used to, that's for sure.

  8. I had a warning received in a similar fashion, I reported a dude that was self promoting and forcing me to buy his service. I reported and got a warning. Got to customer support, and they solved the issue for me. Of course, it also depends on what the OP did, if he did say ok, I will call you or stuff like that, then he agreed to work outside the platform. So it depends quite a bit.

  12. Exactly what I said above. Businesses, especially large businesses need cashflow. They are not like regular people, waiting for crypto to increase in value.
  13. Major marketplaces don’t accept crypto because it’s volatile. Companies are not banking on the idea that they keep bitcoin or any crypto aside to generate a large amount of money. As a business, you want a good cashflow and you want to invest money right away. Most crypto ended up taking a hit last week and Bitcoin was down $7000 or whatever. That’s why you won’t see cryptocurrency options on Fiverr, Amazon or any other major marketplace.

  15. Well… I can see why it’s not public, because they can choose whomever they see fit. It’s their website, their own ranking system, their own choice. That being said, it’s clear that you need to stand out in some way.
  16. It’s clear. Fiverr selects people based on their sales numbers, reviews (public and private), how many TRS are in their category, etc.
  17. I am confused about what this means? :thinking: Since the message was targeted towards me, I believe I can explain. Frank basically told me to increase my prices. I have low price points, and that makes me a commodity, so people just throw money in there and don’t read the description. The idea is that whenever someone spends more, they bother reading the description…
  18. It’s unavoidable in some cases. The more sales you get, the higher the chances of cancellations are. Pro-tip: the higher you are priced, the lower the chances of cancellations. It also helps with the whole “multiple gigs” situation. Pivot from a “commodity” positioning to a higher-value proposition to solve 80% of your problems. 😉 I agree, but I still expect Fiverr to allow sellers a way to lock gig multiples. It shouldn’t be that hard, and I am sure I’m not the only person dealing with this type of cancellations.
  19. I had a person with a business account ask me to do their homework. Must have been an affluent student! I believe Fiverr Business is free for a year, that’s why there are some random Business users.
  20. Fiverr 3.0 ABSOLUTELY HATES THAT. I cannot stress this enough. One cancellation alone is bad enough, multiple cancellations are definitely worse. You need to understand though that Fiverr is not punishing you. Nor is it sending “bad leads” your way on purpose. You may be getting less traffic because the algo sees you as a higher risk when compared to others. I think others gave you the same advice I am about to: calm down, no need to edit everything into oblivion. Learn from your recent cancellations, see what you can amend so it doesn’t happen as often. That’s short term. Long term? Look to diversify. Well some cancellations can’t be avoided. Due to Fiverr’s multiples system, people can order 20x the regular package for its normal deadline, which is obviously extremely bad for the seller. Many think that the deadline is the same, regardless of how much they order. That’s one of the major reasons behind cancellations for me. I even had a person that asked for a revision saying they don’t like the content, and I spent 2 weeks trying to contact him almost every day, he entered Fiverr and didn’t reply. So… I had to cancel that too. Add to that people that order academic content without even contacting me (which needs to be canceled obviously) and also scammers, so you have a variety of situations when you have to cancel. I did notice that if you have too many cancellations, they do remove you from search.
  21. Then update your gig man, maybe you don’t have tags and so on. Plus, results vary because everyone searches differently. They use different keywords, different filters…
  22. Hmmm… I’d think this too but throughout the whole pandemic I’ve had a steady flow of sales every day. I do branding for businesses too which is my most profitable gig. Everything was fine, constant sales every day. Then the second fiverr 3.0 come in my sales stopped. So it’s definitely due to these changes. No one knows when 3.0 stepped in. It’s just an algorithm change, one that might have been introduced during months and months of work. In fact, all you have in this topic are speculations. No one knows exactly what the algorithm is looking for. What everyone shared are things they noticed, which worked for them, but you already saw that not everyone has the same findings so…
  23. Okay… But there’s no way to see how things affect your gig ranking anymore, as there is no gig ranking. All we have to go off is how many sales and enquiries we get. I check my ranking everyday normally and I’m always at the top, yet I have been getting barley any sales or messages. I’d think conversion rate may matter… As gigs that convert well will be much higher value to fiverr and there would be no point in ranking low conversion gigs high. Which is why I said it didn’t affect me. Then again, most of my work comes from repeat customers in general. It does depend on what you are selling, obviously. I see you are selling music promotion services, due to the pandemic I can see the demand being lower. True, but it also depends on how many views you get and stuff. I don’t believe Fiverr cares about a gig that has a 100% conversion rate if it just has 2 views and 2 sales… So there are other factors.
  24. I don’t think the conversion rate is very important. My conversion rate is well under 1% for all my gigs and I am doing fine. You can’t convert any impression or message, I am sure Fiverr understands that. It didn’t derank me, remove from search or stuff like that.

And now I activated promoted Gigs. Will see in a month results. Last month was 538$ profit. Goal: double that. Good luck Marina. My experience with this feature is lackluster.
