Gig Rank surprisingly down & Promoted gig features are suspended
donnovan86 replied to himeldhaka7's topic in Gig Advice
Usually there’s a reason why they moved you to the back. It mostly has to do with the gig performance. You have late orders, cancelations, something in your stats is not right. I know every time I got removed, there was a reason. It was still unfortunate, since I got removed from search, but they do this for a reason, the algorithm has its reasons. -
To be honest, if you can’t speak English properly and you want to be active on an English-speaking platform… then the first thing you want to do is to learn English. Not all customer success managers are from the US, so if they could learn English, so can those that want to sell services on the platform. At least that’s how I see it. In my case, I see a lot of people writing me in broken English that they can help me with article writing. Sure, knowing perfect English might not be needed if you are creating logos, but for article writing this is a must-have.

Sure. But now this is in Beta, so I assume it’s a service mostly for those that are at least level 2. They just have a few success managers, so I don’t believe this will be open to everyone. Unless they have many more success managers that will come in, eventually.

I believe they are still inviting people. But I assume the deal for the first 200 people is over. I saw a lot of people that said they signed up so…

So you wouldn’t really keep the subscription after the first meeting? I have mine next week.

You mean the event that took place yesterday? I didn’t get to attend it, even if I have the membership. I assume it was just a get-together thing. Not a real webinar.

Yes, at 10 am MST. Noon EST. It is a networking webinar. Will I see you there? Unfortunately I didn’t know. Was too busy this past week, I didn’t know there’s a webinar. I did enroll in one for writers I believe next Wednesday. But I didn’t know about this one.

I am so happy for you @melanielm. Did you sign up for the Kick off on March 4th? Maybe we will 👀 There’s a kick off today?

So this rolled up for everyone now? And everyone gets the $19 price?

I can’t say for sure. Did you receive an invite in your messages? I did, and I was allowed to sign up. I assume who’s the fastest gets the spot, if it’s available for everyone.

11995×84 21.4 KBFiverr just added this… I didn’t receive an invite, but it seems I can join the program. I am a bit confused… UPDATE: Apparently I was invited and got my spot within the first 200 people. Thank you!

Well ther are more than 160k people in your category. You most likely had a spotlight time for a few weeks, now they are promoting other people. That’s how it works. And it’s a fair algorithm, because you can’t have the same people on the first pages making thousands of dollars while others are at the bottom waiting. Also, you do have pretty high price points, maybe there aren’t a lot of people willing to spend that much right now.

Nothing wrong with that but then I wish the sentence in first post was “If you are Level 2 and TRS you might get and invite and first 200 get discount” and never indicate that replying to post will have anything with the program invite. I am Level 2 and did not get invite. This is manually selected and participation in this topic is just chatting about new feature. I am glad you got the invite and seeing the benefits. What basically that means they are handpicking who is getting /being offered the discount. I agree. I expressed my wish to try the service at least 3 days ago, so it seems everyone is being hand-picked, and most likely there’s no discount anymore, since I assume more than 200 people were already picked. Hopefully that’s not the case and I receive an invite with the discount. A subscription like this would actually be worth to keep at the discounted price.

True, but that doesn’t guarantee success. You can go to a school and fail. In this case, you learn insider knowledge which is not something widely spread or available everywhere. That’s the difference, at least in my eyes. But obviously I respect your opinion too 🙂

You are NOT paying for a Fiverr’s Choice badge or promotion. You are paying a coach who will guide you to best practices and therefore your gig can become worthy of the prestigious badge… you still earn it…NOT Buy IT and this is a clear distinction. Well to be honest, you pay for knowledge to help you get the badge. So you are buying, at least some of it 🙂

If you’re making $1,000 to $2,000 a month, if you can get a ton of buyers regardless of search results, if your blog or Facebook ads drive traffic to your gig like crazy, then you don’t need this program. Those of us who aren’t making great money, need this program. If I invest $29 and get $200, $500, $1,000 in sales, where’s the downside? If the program doesn’t work, you can always quit. Well it never hurts to make more money 🙂 But I agree with you, in that case you don’t know how much these optimizations might be able to help you. If they do, then it’s worth it.

Only someone from Fiverr can tell. But I assume those that earned one will most likely continue getting support. I had a manager too, but it’s not forever.

It might be due to the program, but also the pandemic. There are a lot more sellers. I am a writer and I also receive less inquiries when compared to the same time in 2019. So yes, having more and more sellers on the platform is definitely a reason why some gigs are tanking.

Mistake number 1 Never leave a job for freelancing until you know you have at least 2-3 income streams. The reason is simple, 1 of the income streams might end up being unreliable, like Fiverr is for you right now. So you can easily end up without money. Try to build up multiple income streams now that you have some time due to this deranking.

I am not sure who this is for… Top Rated sellers and Pro Sellers most likely, but they are already making quite a lot of money anyway and they have advantageous gig positioning. Newcomers will not be invited, and many level 1 or level 2 sellers will barely get invited as well. So… I am confused who this is for. Also, the price seems a bit too much considering it’s a monthly subscription and you are encouraged to keep it for months. I am sure it will be great for some, but as far as I can see, this might not be for me.

I don’t have that. They just added Early Payout for me today. Anyway, I don’t see why would you get a loan from Fiverr. I mean, some might, I guess.

However, this is money you already earned. So it’s not credit if it’s already yours.
