I wonder what went wrong with the code here? 😆

Maybe the 'divide by' bit of the average calculation? 😀. They're probably dividing by less gigs than they counted as being given a rating.

eg. lets say there were 12 5-star ratings and 1 4.33 star rating (the 4.33 rating made up of a 5 star and two 4 stars as part of the 3 rating you give in a review, eg. recommended, would buy again or something).

((12*5)+4.3)/12=5.4 stars (to 1 dp)

when if they counted the 4.3 star rating then they should have divided the whole thing by 13 (since there were 13 ratings in the calc)

((12*5)+4.3)/13=4.9 (to 1 dp)

If it's something that only recently happened, maybe it could be something to do with cancelled orders. Maybe it could be counting the rating of a cancelled order (that could only recently be given a rating due to Fiverr's changes) but only dividing by the number of orders that were completed with a rating.

It's odd because it only applied (so far to what I've seen) to that one particular client I had

You could check their Fiverr profile and check what reviews they gave (though you'd probably need to check each seller that left a review on their profile, or you could do a google search for their username to see the reviews) and whether he left an reviews of cancelled orders. Just if you wanted to see what the reason for it might be (what was different about their reviews compared to others and what the ratings were).

Though you could create a ticket if you wanted and Fiverr CS will let the developers know to fix it. Maybe they might tell you the cause there.

Though they'll probably fix it anyway at some point when they see more of them.

I recently saw something similar with Soundcloud. The song was 39 years old on the 16 year old platform

That's just when the song was originally released, not when it was put on SoundCloud. So when it says "39 years ago" it's talking about when it was originally released, so it's not an error.

The song "Bu Gece" by Sezen Aksu was released on September 6, 1984, which was 39 years ago as of August 21, 2023 (according to perplexity.ai and its sources).

So there is a 2 pathway happening on the platform of songs that were originally released and when people uploaded them to the platform, just to be clear.
