  1. +1 And it can get pretty rough if the buyer's local currency is some kind of dollar. e.g., Australian, Canadian etc. I always make sure to inform the buyers that the standard currency is USD to avoid any misunderstandings - I learned the hard way.
  2. I will propose something that has been discussed a lot by some of us: Fiverr should set up a one-time fee to sell on the marketplace. A simple vetting process would be very beneficial as well. For instance, a new seller should have a valid portfolio – even with mock projects, if they are somebody who are just starting out. This will deter a lot of scammers, low-quality sellers and will also leave room to change the algorithm into something that is more seller-friendly. I have read reports that a single bad private review can send you packing for a good while. Specifically, I have watched a lot of posts by @donnovan86, a very experienced seller with a massive volume of orders who seems to have experienced this. Perhaps, he can expand upon it. Thank you for the initiative, Spyros.
  3. They should rethink the $100 minimum. Until then, turning a standard gig into a pro gig can be disastrous for some niches. I am wondering if you have to have a gig with a minimum price of $100 to be automatically vetted for pro. I noticed that @lalitsdmittal's pro gig minimum price is $200. He is also a level two seller, which appears to negate that this only applies to top-rated sellers. @lalitsdmittal, was that gig's minimum price $200 before you got the mail?
  4. Break down the project into smaller orders?
  5. @yassine_mselmi Those are some heavy words right there. Age is an undeniable factor when it comes to experience, but you have control of what you project towards the market. If I were you, I would shoot a picture in a professional environment that shows my face clearly. Being dressed appropriately might also help. You could use this as one of your gig pics. A good headshot suffices as a profile pic. However, having a strong profile with a good track record and many reviews is the most important factor. My two cents.
  6. 'Top Rated' does not work like other levels. We are manually vetted after we meet the requirements. It can happen a month after, a year after, or never. So, it is a problem. It may be even against the ToS to include this in your profile. Perhaps, @vickieito knows where this is mentioned within the ToS. Many don't but quality buyers do. Especially those who are about to invest a lot of money. You may be getting bad private reviews. Work on your customer service and communication. --- As for the deletion of your main gig and your increase in visibility, it could be a coincidence. Having two seller accounts will get you banned. You should consult with customer support if you have questions about this. Even if you get permission to delete this and make another one, it seems like a backwards move to me. Why would you want to throw away all your hard-earned reviews? Last, you mentioned seller plus. Do you have access to a success manager? They would be able to set the record straight for you. Good luck!
  7. @ahsan_523 You mention that you are 'Top-Rated' in your profile description, when you are not. You can start from there. You are coming across as dishonest to any experienced buyers that know about the level system. Also, where is your gig that got you all these reviews? Right now, the buyers see a bunch of gigs with a few reviews. Last, you could benefit from hiring a pro copywriter to edit your profile.
  8. Do you guys realize that they also have to pay taxes for their cut? Also, have you tried your luck with your own website and Google Ads? Have you seen the cost of that? Last, how would you handle conflict with international buyers through your own website? Take them to the high court in Brussels for a $50 order? Just some food for thought.
  9. I also think that this is their intention. However, if Fiverr had a solid screening process for the sellers that they accept, we could have been spared from all this review madness. And I am not only referring to this latest change. I am going to be very clear: I have been approached numerous times by buyers who had contacted many sellers who were not able to fix trivial stuff. Stuff that any audio engineer who is worth his weight in salt ought to know. Actually, the last one was a couple of days ago. This buyer was discouraged when he approached me. He was in disbelief when I told him that I can take care of the issue and requested a sample. Then, he was ecstatic. On one hand, this felt good, but on the other, I was upset that the market is saturated because of allowing these folks in. It makes us all look bad. I guess it's similar to what has happened to the music industry with all this self-release stuff.
  10. I have two things to say: 1. There is no shadowban. Why? Because the "ban" (decreased visibility) is not in the shadows. You can tell by your impressions and ability to promote your gigs. 2. The importance of customer support is on par with the quality of the provided service.
  11. Welcome to our world! I have 4-5 quick responses for spam. Luckily, we are not getting too many in my niche. Make sure to write them something back before marking the messages as spam. You don't want to take any chances with your inbox response rate. Good luck!
  12. What if the client has a bad breakup or an existential crisis?
  13. I will try to be helpful. Some of your stuff doesn't make sense in English, and you claim to be fluent. What is this? Are you promising to be available for a coffee date for 15 days in a row? This is a one-way ticket to freelancing hell. You promise to give free revisions until the end of time. Maybe you should consider hiring a copywriter to edit your profile.
  14. Would you like some constructive criticism? I went to your gig and had no idea how the lessons would take place. Is it over a video call? Chat? The gig descriptions should be clear and leave no unanswered questions. Also, your FAQ section is almost empty. Think like a clueless buyer who is in need of your service!
  15. Hi Soufiane! It depends on how you see your future on Fiverr. I would not recommend Standard to you. I understand that you have made around 50 sales in about 3 years, which is not much. If you are capable in your field at a competitive level, a success manager can help you optimize your gigs to increase your sales and income. Standard has great features, but you don't get access to a success manager to take you by the hand. As for me, I cannot see myself working here without “Request to Order” and, consequently, Seller Plus. Hope this helps, Spyros.
  16. The important thing is to communicate clearly before and during orders. This will make revisions a rarity. Also, always check with the client after the delivery – if they do not respond within a day or two.
  17. 180 days? Maybe they made changes in how BSR is calculated as well. Reading this thread makes me feel as if there is a war in a neighboring country. I am reading it in the news while sipping my coffee, wondering if it may ever affect me. Fiverr's Choice for 5 months in a row here. And yes, I do what I must to remain so—you know what I mean.
  18. They do this to ensure that they get their cut regardless of any deal that you may strike with the client. We cannot escalate anything as we are working for Fiverr. We can only make a suggestion/request. As for your concerns about the cut in general: have you tried setting up your own website and running ads? If you try, you will probably realize that Fiverr's cut is not too much.
  19. Do not accept orders if the requirements are not there. Write to customer support ASAP and explain the situation.
  20. “Muslims around the world are celebrating the festival of Eid al-Fitr, commonly known as Eid, to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan.” You are welcome! And happy Eid, to those who celebrate it.
  21. Hi Ben, you were probably hit by 1 or more negative private reviews. Your secret customer satisfaction score fell below the minimum, and you were sent packing for a while. We have discussed this situation hundreds of times in the forums. Try searching for these threads. Keep doing good work and improve your customer service. Check with clients after the delivery, if you don't hear from them. You will most likely bounce back in the comings weeks. The stats roll off after 60-90 days. Not sure what's the case at the current time. Hope this helps, Spyros.
  22. It can be catastrophic to your status if you don't reply properly. Other than that, it is convenient under certain circumstances.
  23. Auto-replies do not count towards response rate. You still have to message the buyer within 24 hours. Their use is for letting them know that you are not available and will get back to them within a certain time frame.
  24. Perhaps, it's best to offer them cancellation through the resolution center and contact support to take this off your stats. The terms of your gig have to be respected. If you become or are eligible for the “Seller Plus” program, you will be able to get the “Request to Order” feature, which prevents buyers from placing a direct order without contacting you. Good luck!
  25. I am based in Greece and communicated with Fiverr when I got started here. Fiverr told me that they do not need me to issue them an invoice as they have everything that they need. I told them that I am required by the government to issue them an invoice, and they gave me their information. So, I issue an invoice through the Greek governments' business platform in order to clear my income. It falls under the category of "Selling Services in Third Countries". I believe that by "third" they mean countries that they have no treaty with. I do this whenever I bring the funds to my local business account at the bank. Poland is EU, so your situation could be similar. Hope this helps!
