  1. Let me channel my inner @vickieito and try to be helpful instead, as I see us being told off if we continue. Dear @sofia2568, this topic has been discussed many many times. Staying online on Fiverr does not guarantee orders. Please learn to use the forum's search function to find relevant topics. Additionally, here are some resources to get you started on how Fiverr works:
  2. A good amount of cardio and lifting weights.
  3. Congrats! I've been in seller plus since early June and haven't looked back since. So many useful features and great guidance by my success manager. Having a success manager is only available in the premium version of this feature. Perhaps, consider getting that. It can help you a lot!
  4. Hello everyone! Straightforward question: what are your weaknesses as a freelancer? Weaknesses as in habits that harm you, hinder your business and things that you wish to improve upon. Anyone who wishes to engage in this discussion, has to be comfortable being vulnerable or willing to improve upon this. I will start with myself. I have two main weaknesses: 1. Being easy to bargain with. Very often I will fall for some sob story to lower my rates or provide a shorter turn-in time at no extra charge. This is due to the agreeable style of my personality in conjunction with not having enough funds on the side. Being more firm in my negotiations, or not allowing negotiations, is something that I am striving towards. The older I get, the firmer I become. Many of us, artists, are people pleasers to begin with. 2. Overworking myself. I have an addictive personality. I can exercise too much, consume too much, work too much, and it goes on and on. I learned to control this tendency through swapping my vices with exercise and sports. It's just substituting one thing for another. It is not a cure but rather, redirection of this energy. I would love to hear your experiences!
  5. Good luck with the performance! Enjoy yourself. 🎷🥁
  6. Pro status can either make or break an account. We have a thread about that in the seller plus section of the forum. It also comes with a mandatory $100 dollar price tag for the gigs. There are some exceptions for a $70 price tag. This is why I have been reluctant to apply for it. It doesn't make much sense for technical categories like mine. The client can get similar quality of service at a fraction of the price. I may work with my success manager to create a new pro gig in the future, for marketing purposes. In any case, I would rather be a level 2 seller and able to make a living as I am, than to have a Pro account with 30 reviews parked somewhere.
  7. We do have managers called 'success managers'. Nowadays, they are only available in 'premium', the upper tier of seller plus. Please use the search function for more information!
  8. It is alright! I just responded in this way to make sure that you are very careful with checking details. Making it on Fiverr is very difficult and requires us to be on top of our game day in and day out. We cannot afford to drop the ball for a single day. I wish you the best of luck on this journey! I am sure that you are going to do great as you are seeking advice from the very beginning.
  9. Here you can see me on the other side, lifting my hands up in the sky in gratitude. Good catch @strategist_ceo. You must have downloaded this picture from my personal blog.
  10. I hope soon you'll start getting the real worth of your art 🌸 Thanks for the good energy, but I am a well-established seller on Fiverr! I suppose you didn't check my profile. Now, if you wish me to start pocketing millions from music royalties while chilling in Rio de Janeiro, that is also welcome!
  11. I will refrain from writing all the jokes that came to my mind about the last part! Congrats, Filip! I am sure that Fiverr is a better place with your presence.
  12. Here are some great posts by @frank_d and @vickieito :
  13. There is nothing to report. Maybe your style was not to his liking and on top of that he misbehaved. The buyer is just the buyer. They are not God. Don't worry about it. Move on.
  14. It's not normal and don't do it. The client pays the seller, not the other way around. Best regards, Spyros.
  15. Empressions can only be gained once you have unlocked Emperor status on Fiber. To achieve this, you have to eat a lot of Fiber daily until you are crowned Emperor of Fiber. Us, regular folks, only get impressions. If you wish to embark on this glorious path, listen to @donnovan86's advice!
  16. I have mixed feelings about this. When you got 0 social proof, the only way to make your offering attractive is by having lower prices than the competition. An excellent portfolio is a prerequisite to have half a chance and appear qualified. Now, having lower prices is one thing and, slaving away another. $5 gig prices often attract horrible buyers that are looking to take advantage of someone and have no regard for you as a person or professional. On the other hand, you will also attract good people that have no money. This is as objective as I can be on the subject. My advice to you is: know your worth and offer lower prices than established sellers. Don't go for the $5 dollar price tag. What are you going to do with 4 dollars? Buy a coffee? Getting orders does not guarantee you a positive outcome. As a matter of fact, if your first client is horrific and leaves you a negative review, they will tank your profile. Your average rating will be at their mercy. Last but not least, I do not know the extent of your experience. Can you handle bad buyers? Do you think that you have what it takes? They are a challenge even for established sellers with hundreds or thousands of orders. My 2 cents. And good luck!
  17. I have no doubts that I will be more like you in the future. I was lurking for months before I typed my first sentence here. I read all the valuable posts by my seniors. With each passing day, I respond less and less. 75% of the new threads are by people who don't even bother to search the forum. It is never ending. Many of them sound more like gamblers than freelancers. I don't have anything in common with those types. They somehow think that they are owed success. They are desperately looking for a shortcut to bypass the hard work, dedication, and consistency that it takes. In any case, I admire the wonderful @vickieito who tries to help all these people day in and day out. I call her the 'mother of the forum'. Anyway, I am off to catch an unsuspecting graphic designer!
  18. Your majesty, I thank you for this great honor. I vow to continue aiding our fellow Fiverrlings to the best of my ability. Your humble servant and newly appointed member of the council, Spyros.
  19. Welcome to the forum! Your artwork is beautiful. Loved the shoes!
  20. It is not a matter of pages. The search results vary, they are not set in stone. What you see is the result of your Buyer Satisfaction Rate falling below the minimum due to negative private feedback. You have been temporarily flagged as a poor seller. You have the blessing of being part of seller plus. Work closely with your manager to improve your communication and services. And as for the ins and outs of the mechanism, this has been answered more times than I can remember. The buyer satisfaction rate is calculated over a certain period of time. It is not permanent, it is ever-changing. Bring in local or repeat clients to improve it. However, this will be of no use unless you address whatever issues are present. Most times, negative feedback is the result of poor communication. Yes, there are 'wackos' out there, but they are rare. Time to take a deep dive and look into what you can improve!
  21. No! 85% is incredible by the way.
  22. I don't know what to tell you! Certainly, we cannot rely on something that is unpredictable. Right now, it looks that I can turn it on when I leave the studio or go to sleep and hope for the best. Last night, it had 0% success!
  23. There is an option to turn auto-reply on and off! Maybe you had it on.
  24. Yes, it is explained in the article. However, I was talking about new buyers!
