  1. Many of us needed to read something like this. Great timing. That was my favorite part. After hundreds or thousands of orders, you start looking at the screen indifferently when you get a message like that. Our eyes secretly fixating on the $ showing next to the message or what's at the top right of the dashboard. "Thank you for your feedback... I will be happy to..." We all know the deal.
  2. This expression has a bit of a negative connotation. Be careful when using it! They do have the means to do what you are asking for. Since they ordered by mistake, they will probably take the cancellation off your stats.
  3. I believe that this can be considered spam on Fiverr. Sending coupons is ok, though. (That's a seller plus feature).
  4. Here is the list of approved websites: https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360011421218-Gig-policies So, yes!
  5. Another update: I provided the translation to a very kind support lady and she removed it from my stats. From now on, I will be following @miiila advice as I do not want to bother support about this issue again. I will be sending an auto response, just to make sure. Some people are just desperate. I had a guy asking me if I was a buyer or seller and if I would be interested in buying his services. Crazy stuff.
  6. Trash translation. Didn't detect the married mother part that was so endearing and spot-on. 😆
  7. Here's an update on the situation. Support got back to me and informed me that I do have to take the hit to my inbox response rate as it was "a buyer that was messaging me in another language". #lessonlearned Here is the script for your enjoyment: Original: Hallow Bahi ma ap ki video ma sa remove Kar du ga Ap order da do Hallow Ap mara client ban jao Hallwo Google Translate: hello married mother please remove your video mother you order hello you become my client Halvo ... As you all know, I am definitely not a married mother.
  8. It seems that this is why my response rate decreased. I've never had any problems with this approach until now. That was because, I was fortunate enough to get hit by spam that was also detected by Fiverr's AI. I am going to be sending them a 'Thanks for the inquiry, but I am currently overbooked' before reporting and blocking them.
  9. In the past few days, I have been getting numerous spam messages from a certain country, which I will not mention to avoid hurting anybody's feelings. They usually start with “Hi Dear”, “Hi” or “Hi Sir”. I even tried to engage with some before I marked them as spam. The conversation usually goes like this: - HI SIR - Hello! How can I help you? - SIR GIVE ME JOB PLEASE NO JOB - If you are interested in working here, please go to the Fiverr forums for more information. - NO FORUMS SIR NO SHOW PLEASE JOB . To add insult to injury, I just saw a drop in my Inbox Response Rate. Have you guys experienced the same?
  10. Let me dissipate the clouds of depression by sharing that I made low four figures with $60. And no, it is not because promoted gigs are amazing. It is because I landed a huge client and delivered tremendous work.
  11. That's why I only send them to repeat buyers who are pleasant and great communicators and leave tips – right after the order. The last one was for an amazing guy who met all these criteria and was trying to greet me in Greek! 🥳
  12. Hello everyone! This thread is quite depressing. I would like to add that I did not see a decrease in impressions or volume of orders in the past few months. On the contrary, January and February were fantastic months. Although, I did have a few slow days recently, but it was because of extraordinary circumstances. I received 18 bad inquiries in the space of 5 days. This has never happened before. I also noticed something else. Since Fiverr implemented the inbox placement for promoted gigs, the cost of the service has almost doubled. I suspect it is because of trash clicks from buyers that are checking out what this fancy message is - out of curiosity. Also, thank you, @frank_d for sharing your thoughts. And @miiila: I hope that you feel better soon!
  13. You should send a cancellation request through the resolution center and open a ticket with customer support as well. Take the time to explain what happened. Ask them whether they can cancel it for you and/or take this off your stats. I've only had one cancellation in hundreds of orders. Make sure that your gigs do not invite such clients. Is everything clear? Are you working for $5? Take a good look at the situation. I am coming off of a 12-hour shift—I am off. *Spyros Disappears*
  14. @arifbillah360 I certainly don't like your wording. It is also missing a full stop after 'your feedback'. I also have no idea what 'level best' is. We were not using this phrase in Ontario. Very best perhaps? In any case, why would you risk it? Just say: If you have any questions or need further changes, please contact me. Also, don't forget to leave a review. Something like this. Hope this helps!
  15. I think that this prompt is meant to give mere mortals a chance at having the 'highly responsive' badge. And a guaranteed place at the madhouse.
  16. Avoiding it does not necessarily mean that it is not permitted! The point is to not share personal contact information. The 'share with anyone with the link' option achieves that. So it is within ToS. If you want to break the rules, there are a million ways to do that. Additionally, as you know, Fiverr is based on buyer satisfaction. If you push a buyer to upload a 30gb file elsewhere, it's not going to fly with them!
  17. Google Drive has an option to share the files anonymously. You just have to click share with “anyone with the link”. What is your source for this?
  18. It seems like I still have quite the memory. Thank you, Vickie, from the Ito industries!
  19. You can cancel the order and send an offer for the new price. If the buyer accepts it soon, the cancellation will not count towards your stats. If I remember correctly, they have to place another order within 14 days for that to happen. I can't find the link to the new policy right now. Maybe @vickieito has it!
  20. @jagannathroydip, you are probably referring to the Fiverr's Choice badge. I believe that this is given manually to gigs that are performing exceptionally by Fiverr staff. So it is not a matter of how many orders.
  21. I would definitely not offer another discount. I think you answered your own question right there. Plus, a lot can happen in 4 months. A business can grow a lot, and you cannot be expected to offer old rates or discounts to some buyer that does not think highly of you.
  22. This thread is turning into a goldmine of information. I am humbled by your participation. Thank you! PS. I just realized that I posted it at 11:11pm—GMT +2. The universe is working its magic. 🙂
  23. And here is a new one from this morning! Thank you, Fiverr! If that was offline, I would have to resort to my angry Mike Tyson routine 🤪
  24. That's a great way of putting it! I usually offer a longer response. Especially, if I have to explain why their project does not qualify for the standard rates. Earlier in the day, I was approached by a buyer who was shopping around. They had already received samples by a number of sellers. Then, they asked me if I, too, can provide samples to address some issues that others couldn't. I was in the studio, produced a couple and explained that the order does not qualify for the standard packages as their audio consisted of different sections. I am already one of the most expensive engineers in audio editing, and they informed me that my custom offer is far beyond their budget. Well, they came back after an hour, and accepted the offer. I beat the competition based on skill. This scenario has happened many times, with one big difference: I accepted to give them a huge bargain. What a fool I was. Why would you put the same price on something that is of higher quality. They don't make any exceptions at the grocery store, anyway!
  25. Let me start this! I have finally graduated to “No! I can only offer you my regular rates”. I only give discounts if it is a pleasant project and there is potential for repeat business. In the past, I was much easier to be swayed by buyers, as I was still building a good body of reviews.
