  1. @vickieito Thank you for sharing your experience! It gives us another valid viewpoint. In this case, I think that Fiverr could add a confirmation message before the review is sent. E.g. Are you sure that you would like to rate Vickie from the Ito Industries 5*? Ratings are final. Or something like that!
  2. @donnovan86 I am very sorry. This is abusive. And they certainly aren't “random” stars. They had 3 clicks to make, and they all went to 1. You are a huge seller, you will bounce back.
  3. The only thing I miss is clicking “remove request” until the list is empty. And, perhaps, the content of some of these ridiculous requests. Example: “I need somebody to compose original orchestral music, hire an orchestra, record the orchestra, mix and master the record, write a book, narrate the book, mix and master the voice-over with the music and, distribute the finished product. Deadline: 2 days Budget: 10 bucks PS. Come mop my house as well. Cheers.”
  4. @leylalily Here is the list of websites that we can link for portfolio use: https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360011421218-Gig-policies YouTube is one of them. I have set up portfolios on YouTube and SoundCloud and, I include them in my gigs.
  5. It is up to you and how much you value your time!
  6. Always communicate before the order is placed so that everything is 100% clear. You have to know the exact scope of the order to offer an accurate quote. This way, you minimize problems and friction. I personally do not like Zoom calls and would charge extra for my time. The only reason that I have to participate in a Zoom call is for lessons via video. Otherwise, written communication with media attachments covers all possibilities.
  7. If they are a seller on Fiverr, and they became unresponsive, they either have an emergency, they grew uninterested or something sinister is going on. You could contact customer support to cancel the order without affecting your stats on the grounds that the order requirements were actually incomplete. Or you could let it auto-complete and send the client a note telling them that you are open to a further revision after the order completion. Your choice. Hope this helps!
  8. @emmah_2 A business relationship forged in Fiverr has to stay in Fiverr. Exchanging personal contact information is against the Terms of Service. It may bag you a warning. Don't do it. These messages that you are getting may also be spam. -I copied and pasted this from a thread that was started a few minutes ago. Please learn how to use the search function. There is a wealth of good information on the forums. Good luck!
  9. I am so happy! I was studying to become a professional opera singer when I was younger but, had to stop due to some unexpected circumstances. I studied Italian for a year in university and also, on my own, through the operas of Giueseppe Verdi, Puccini, Leoncavallo, Donizzeti, Rossini etc.
  10. Grazie per i bellissimi auguri, amico! Anch'io ti auguro tutto il meglio. Hope I got it right, my Italian is very rusty!
  11. Today is my first birthday as a Fiverr seller. I created my first gig on December the 20th, 2021 and received my first order on the 28th. Regular orders did not start flowing in until mid-March. This is where things really took off. Today, I have completed 186 orders and have 136 reviews. I was also invited to the seller plus program in early June—that was a game changer. How did I achieve this in such a short time? By not re-inventing the wheel. I devoured every piece of useful information graciously given by my seniors. I put on my school boy pants and listened to every direction given by my success manager. And guess what, folks? I do not stay online 24/7. (Couldn't resist). Last, I am grateful to be a member of this community. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank all the senior sellers who selflessly help the newbies. I am looking forward to a creative future! Spyros.
  12. Not at all! This only happens in audio restoration and I am just managing clients' expectations. It is due to the nature of the job. The result is dependent on the state of the source. We have to show the client what to expect. Every case is different. It takes a few minutes anyway. I do not provide samples in any other area of my expertise. I point them to my portfolio where I have enough examples!
  13. I rarely receive requests for revisions these days. I have 'Request to Order' on. I thoroughly discuss the project with the client before ordering. And I also, produce samples to agree on the style, if needed, However, I do think that the platform should only allow the buyer to request the number of revisions that came with the gig. Any further revisions should be purchased. Remember those old arcade machines? Insert coin to continue!

  15. Hello! I understand that you are not satisfied with your experience as a seller on Fiverr. However, what you are saying in the quote couldn't have been farther from the truth. Here is a topic that I made a few weeks ago:
  16. Hello @gigzlogo, the Fiverr team changed the earning page and the way earnings are calculated. I believe that they show funds as they clear. Nothing to worry about. Cheers.
  17. @rajibbapy Sorry to hear about your troubles. However, we are hosted by Fiverr and have to abide by the rules. As @jonbaas explained to you, it is physically impossible to keep the 'lifetime' promise. Look on the bright side! As far as I can tell, you did not receive a formal warning. Your profile still carries all of its reviews and people can see that you are experienced. If you were able to have a popular gig once, chances are that you will achieve this again. Knowledge and experience are hard-gained treasures. They do not go away until we do.
  18. As for getting those first reviews, you could bring in some local clients. However, it is important to set up your profile beforehand to benefit from that momentum.
  19. @ivanavisual Good morning, Ivana, and welcome to the forums! I took a look at your profile, and you could benefit from re-writing your descriptions. It is a good idea to tell more about who you are as a professional, your experience in your field, and what the order process is going to be like. For example, what you will need from the clients and what they will get from you. Also, allow me to say that your profile picture could be a bit more professional. A mirror selfie is not the best choice. Last, consider creating a strong portfolio and linking it in your descriptions. I am also sending you some very useful links by @vickieito and @frank_d to get an idea of how Fiverr works! Good luck, Spyros.
  20. It's all about the private survey at this point. If the client lacks common sense and is arrogant at the same time, it is better to be safe than sorry. Yes, you can lose an hour of your time to do a revision on a completed order, but it is far better than losing thousands of dollars if your gigs are tanked due to a negative private survey.
  21. One time I was hired by a videographer who had messed up the audio of a wedding ceremony. He sent me a revision request to boost the dialogue by 12 decibels at 30hz. This is the sub-bass region where you can feel the rumble of an earthquake as it begins. I tried to explain. It didn't work out. 🙂
  22. I had a similar idea. Us, creative regulars, could join forces and make a cartoon or something. But, there is a good chance that we will receive warnings ^^
