  1. I'm just a Plat :( Actually got to diamond this season, but ended up dropping again...
  2. Rocket League, all day long. Chess, of course, it's a lifetime thing. And MTG. Usually play draft at the local game store every week, but haven't in a while, lots of orders...
  3. "Hey, I'd like a video with these characteristics done!" "Sure, that will be X" "What? I have this seller that quoted me y for that video, and his stuff looks great!" "Awesome, you seem like you have found a great deal there! Why are you wasting time talking to me instead of just taking advantage?" Paraphrased for effect, but yeah, this sums it up.
  4. These automatic flags are out of control. Homo is a scientific prefix ffs.
  5. Yeah, no. Outside this platform, yes. Inside it, no. I'd much rather have a cancelation. Unless you have thousands of reviews on a gig, and lots of reviews per month, a single negative one can make you drop a level, or nuke a gig. It's very easy to say "screw the unfair negative reviews" if you're a high volume seller. If you're a seller that makes 1-5 deals a month for thousands each, each review is vital.
  6. This is my policy, and still get into trouble. Clients have a tendency to remember that "oh, this is missing" after they confirmed I had everything, and only after the order has started (how convenient). There's literally nothing that can be done about it. If Fiverr actually enforced things, or hit buyers with penalties for failing to comply, then yeah. As things stand? Meh. Oh, how I dream for a platform that actually enforces rules. "You agreed to this and failed to uphold your part of the agreement? Tough luck, your funds are gone, the seller gets them, and you get nothing. Next time, don't lie".
  7. I've done a couple tests, and found them next to worthless. Either way too easy, trivial to cheat on, or downright wrong, obsolete, or nonsensical. Passing Fiverr tests just means you are not braindead, I'm confident I could "pass" any test on here, even the ones testing for things I know absolutely nothing about.
  8. Of course, same here. Thing is, in a situation like that you are actually having to do extra work, comparing to a straight translation where you don't have to learn anything. So, as long as the price reflects that, it's fine. My point was more about the risk it is to take a job when there are language issues, but apparently that was not the case here.
  9. Great that you are looking at it like that... personally I would look at it like a cancelation, sounds like a nightmare. I work with video, and I basically already turn away people who sound weird in their english, I really can't deal with bad translations / people who don't have a good command of the language. It brings with it all kinds of problems.
  10. What does that have to do with Fiverr in any way?
  11. It's 31 degrees here now, I doubt you'd be saying that if you were in Portugal in the Summer lol
  12. Pro's: Flexibility. This is the biggest one for me - work when I want to on what I want to. Location independence / work from home. Also a very big one. Direct relation between work and pay. Work more, make more. That's motivating. Con's: Uncertainty. Weeks with nothing, then a huge amount of work. The work tends to come specifically when I have other, non work, stuff to do, just to screw with me. Direct relation between work and pay... with no control over amount of work. If I had 8 hour days 7 days a week, with how much I make per hour, I'd be rich. Alas, can't get volume just because I want to, it all depends on what the algorithm feeds me, both in quantity and quality. Networking, career opportunities. I'm not gonna get a promotion. I'm not gonna get to be a manager just bossing people around, and have them do the actual work (which is actually my dream job lol).
  13. I also like it, when I go out. At home I just wear whatever lol.
  14. It will vary wildly depending on the field. I'm having a bunch of orders coming through in the last week, and my conversion rate is 0.01% lol. If it was 2-3%, I'd need a team of 100 people lol.
  15. Working on it! I know you all are very excited for this new channel, but a ton of orders came through now, so I'm having to delay the editing a bit. We do have the narration ready though :P
  16. Not even a question of "a lot", it will be zero, since Fiverr has banned them as far as I'm aware...
  17. At least you have Russia. Ain't nobody getting that one now lol, it will appreciate in value!
  18. We always have a place for you, if you want to contribute some 3D / Animation, as that's something I don't do!
  19. Since everybody's posting pictures... Also, the pins are a bit suspicious. I'm in central Portugal, not in southern Spain lol
  20. 19% here, and not really looking to increase it. I know what my markets are, and I know which 2-3 countries represent 90% of potential income, so that's what I focus on.
  21. I just turned off mine. If I set a minimum budget, that should mean something. "Flexible" is not a budget. It's a "no, you!". I don't get what's so hard about saying how much you can spend, and then I can tell you what you can get for that price. It's not like it's a one size fits all on my side either, I can do the same project differently at different price points.
  22. Now my goal for 2022 is to launch a successful youtube channel :P
