Changes are coming to Logo Maker📍

Logo Maker Team

Recommended Posts

Since its launch in 2020, the Fiverr Logo Maker platform has revolutionized branding and marketing by using A.I. technology to match businesses with unique, high-quality logos created by our vetted community of skilled designers. Our mission was—and is—to provide you with the opportunity to monetize your existing design portfolio, gain traction in the small businesses market, and earn a steady stream of passive income, while maintaining the flexibility to work whenever and however much you want.

We remain committed to further increasing our sellers’ earning potential while also investing in the platform to optimize it for both businesses and designers.

Here are (some of) our  plans for 2023:

  1. New tier-based earnings model

In order to pave a clear path for growth and empower highly engaged sellers to potentially bolster their success, the new, tier-based model rewards sellers according to their performance. Sellers will now be assigned to tiers based on their total sales over the  last 12 months, which will be evaluated on the 1st day of every month. Each tier  will earn a different fixed percentage of the sale at every level, so as your annual sales increase, so will the earnings you collect from each sale. Entry-level designers earn 20% of each sale, which they can increase to 50% of each sale upon reaching the top tier.

Why the change?

The new model rewards sellers who are most engaged with the platform. By uploading more logos and creating a diverse, high-quality portfolio, sellers increase their chances of matching with buyers preferences and thereby graduating to higher tiers at which they’ll earn more per logo. Based on our data, sellers earning between $10K and $20K annually have an average of 109 active logos, 7 times more than entry level sellers do.

The new tier-based earnings model will take effect on March 1st, 2023.

     2. New seller’s dashboard

We heard you! Thanks to the recent feedback we collected from our valued designers,  we will soon be releasing a new seller’s dashboard, which will offer you a detailed overview of your performance and provide you with valuable insights to help you optimize your designs. You’ll be able to closely monitor the logos you've published, see where you stand on your upload threshold, check on the progress of your sales, and, if needed, tweak the logos you've published to give you the best shot at increasing your chances to match with buyers preferences.

       3. Advanced matching

Among the many initiatives we’re planning for 2023 is the enhancement of our matching algorithm and the addition of fields surrounding style preferences to the buyers’ brief. These are expected to improve the compatibility between buyers’ needs and their matched logos and thus potentially increase conversion rates.

       4. Strengthened community

We will continue to build up the Logo Maker seller community through our forum, where we’ll both provide you with informative content to help you succeed on the platform, and gather your input so we can improve your experience wherever and however possible.

We’ve got big plans for Logo Maker in 2023, and we hope you do too. Here are some things to keep in mind as you strategize for  the New Year:

  • The way up is to upload more high-quality logos to increase your chances of matching with buyers needs and optimize your existing supply.
  • Diversify your portfolio with unique logos in order to broaden your appeal and maximize your potential to match with businesses. For more best practices see our help center article.
  • Follow our forum's weekly posts to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and news.
  • Track and monitor your performance through the new dashboard (coming soon!) to make sure you’re getting the most out of Logo Maker.

does this mean that it will be calculated based on total amount of order or this rule is for amount surplus of $30? because currently upto $30, 80% of revenue goes to the seller and for the amount surplus of $30, 20% is credited to the seller.

thanks in anticipation.

stay blessed

All packages will have a flat rate commission based on your take rate. If your take rate is 20% it will be 20% for the 30$ packages as well.

So level 1 tier gives you $6 for $30 logo? and how do we know our tier level? it's changing every month? thanks!

So level 1 tier gives you $6 for $30 logo?- If you are at 20% take rate 30$ package will give you 6$, yes. The higher your tier- the higher your take rate. From 20% to 50% 🙂

How do we know our tier level?- it will be clear and visible on the new dashboard coming up next month. You will be able to track your progress and know exactly how far you have to go for the next "step".

it's changing every month? - It's re-calculated in the beginning of each month. You can go up and down according to the sum of your past 12 months sales.

According to this system new sellers will have to work hard to scale up, yes. Our hardest working sellers will be the most rewarded according to this new method. The new dashboard will provide you the visibility on how much you need to push yourself further in order to get there.

Since new designers are starting from 0 they will only be able to scale up in the first 12 months.

According to this system, new members seem to work harder and earn less.
Is this a good way to support new designers and creativity?
Am I wrong?

I have already spoken on this topic before, when I was informed about this profit model in a private chat.

It is probably worth considering alternative places to earn income.

I am sure that the creation of a logo is not for everyone the main source of income. Apart from the mainstream, direct clients, this is a good option for hosting some rejected options.
But with this profit model, when you do the main work, it looks like an indirect "coercion" - only work for the logo-maker if you want to make an income or leave. This is also confirmed by the fact that the logo you created for sale, which can be bought by anyone, an unlimited number of times, cannot be sold elsewhere (this would be acceptable if the income model remained the same).

I understand the purpose of the platform is to make money. Everyone wants this - to do their favorite job and make a profit.
But it's more like a dead end.

i think percentage should be reconsidered, it should from 20% to 80% so the seller gain maximum out of the logomaker projects.

I don't think that's good news, to be honest for our sellers in logo maker. at this time we can get earnings up to 80% but for the new ones it seems packaged neatly and attractively but in the end we will only get a maximum of 50% of earnings. you should consider this more.
actually you don't hear us really well but
you are actually changing the earning scheme so that the seller gets a bit of his share.

This is wild. I'm going to see a cut from 50% to 25% because I spend my time working on orders through my gigs versus being able to constantly upload to logo maker. The top tiers I don't even think will be achievable by 1% of people on this platform. Every day I get pushed closer and closer to the edge of leaving.

i strongly agree with this. that should not only 50%. reach the top tier based on the criteria i can say it's almost impossible.

NO HATE 🙂. Just to be clear, now sellers will get 6$ instead of 30$ for each sale? I hope Fiverr didn't become that greedy, it will ruin the balance and most creative artists will choose a different platform, I notice on comments that it already started.

PS: Sometimes, I am glad that buyers order only basic. No offense but premium pack have no impact on income, those are pennies for hours of creativity building variations.

Yes, $6 for 30$ order. The change will take effect on 02/15/2023

I see the dynamics a little illogical
for example:
Juan uploaded 100 logos to reach level 2 (his sales increased)
So how would there be the possibility of going down again to level 1, if Juan has those same 100 logos selling approximately the same as the previous months (in case Juan decides to pause his production a bit)???

My proposals are the following: It seems perfect to me to go up levels, the % they are giving seems perfect to me, what does not seem fair to me is that the designer falls back to previous levels, taking into account the number of logos that the designer uploaded to go up a level (it is illogical and I repeat it again, that there is the possibility of going down a level while all that material is active) and an approximate sales equal to the previous months.

The proposal is to give the designer their respective level with the number of designs uploaded for example

Level 1: 100+ designs (30%)
Level 2:  200+ designs (35%)
Level 3: 300+ designs (50%)

level premium 1000 designs (70%) only example!!!!!!

With the objective that each designer strives and is sure that when a certain number is reached, his level will be preserved and sales will increase according to probability, all this with its respective fiverr logo maker quality filter.
