  1. not a fan of the new font tbh. the letters/numbers don’t seem to share a uniform x-height which makes the letters look like they’re bouncing and it’s straining my eyes 😩

  3. I’m Brittany, live in the metro-Detroit area in Michigan (US). I spent years hopping from one job to another and finally figured out that working for someone else was not in my cards. Been successfully freelancing for four years now 🙂
  4. In addition to limiting revisions, I would include a section in your FAQ about what is covered under your revision policy. Too many times clients want a complete redesign and I clearly state that it is not covered and is additional. You can’t make people read, but it gives you additional protection as a seller.
  5. My dashboard keeps disappearing and I can’t make any deliveries since my attachments won’t upload. Hopefully this is minor and gets cleared up soon.

  7. I keep a handful of Fiverr sellers that I refer clients to all the time. I believe it would only be against the rules if you are referring them off of Fiverr.
  8. If you don’t currently provide a PDF contract for the rights, I would start doing that. You can include a clause in the contract that allows you to utilize the piece for portfolio work which is what I do. If a buyer requests that be removed or an NDA or something like that, you can work it out on a case-by-case basis.
  9. I charge extra for the source file every time. I have clients who try to tell me that other sellers include it for free and I just tell them to work with that seller then lol.
  10. On a computer, you can either report the message from the inbox and block the user or go to the users profile and block from there (the block or report option is under the username).
  11. I have 40 incomplete orders in my queue lol. Incomplete orders don’t stack in your queue listing on your gig, just so you know.
  12. This is fine in Fairy Kingdom Fiverr. In reality, it would only work if Fiverr grayed out the revision button after revision requests have been exceeded. Good lord I wish they would do this.
  13. There will always be buyers who are going to want a quick turnaround no matter what the project is. It’s dependent on the seller to understand what the buyer is asking and assess their own abilities. You can only worry about yourself - what are your limitations? Reject work that you know you can’t deliver on. The buyer will move on.
  14. I am a font junkie. My boyfriend can’t stand me sometimes because I recognize a lot of fonts while we’re just walking around - “I have that font. I know what that one is. Oh I have that one too!” I buy a lot of font bundles as they’re going to be the best bang for your buck. I also have a monthly subscription to Creative Fabrica that gives me unlimited font downloads. A lot of the fonts on DaFont are on there which is A+ because my clients give me dafont links ALL THE TIME. I do a lot of tshirt designs catered to women, so handwritten scripts are an essential for me. Favorites include alley script, honey heart, natashabela, aerokids, and southwind script. Fonts that have a lot of glyphs are the ones that intrigue me the most.
  15. I use quickbooks self-employed. I’ve used it for the past three years/past two tax returns and it’s so easy. It comes with a phone app, you can connect it directly to your bank account to file through business deductions/personal expenditures. It also tracks mileage automatically and you can categorize those the same way for deductions. It’s $10 a month and I highly recommend it.
  16. Contact CS, they’ll help you to get your funds back. I’ve had this happen several times (orders have been cancelled/refunded months later for whatever reason) and they’ve given the funds back.
  17. I have no doubt those specs are available in a laptop, but I must say I really enjoy having my dual 27" monitor setup lol. It allows me to multitask much easier versus a 15" laptop screen. My transition to desktop was purely for workflow and not anything against what is available in the laptop market. I must admit my big ol’ black computer tower doesn’t match my barnhouse/chic office aesthetic, but you win some and lose some lol.
  18. I’ve been around a bit. I started back in 2011 with a decked out macbook pro. Absolutely loved it. It’s worth the price for how long it actually lasts. I bought it new for $2500 and sold it in 2017 for $750 to buy a new laptop. I switched to Dell Inspiron laptop so I could put more money into the processor/memory versus paying for the Apple name. About a year and a half ago I migrated to a desktop setup just because of the amount of work and time spent on my computer. My tower was Lenovo 510A and my two monitors are 27" Acers. I recently upgraded my tower again to iBuyPower for the upgraded graphics card (nvidia gforce rtx 2080), intel core i7 and 16gb ram (upgrade capability to 32gb). My new computer runs my programs like a dream (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop at the same time, no lag time). I know this is long winded, lol. But it’s really dependent on what you plan to use your computer for. Using Adobe products, I recommend at least 16gb of memory along with at least an intel i7 processor. There’s nothing more infuriating than when you think/move faster than your program can handle. With that being said, never HP. I hate HP so much so will never recommend them to anyone.
  19. They more than likely do, but they keep it a 🤫 I find this a silly notion - large companies like HP, Best Buy, Adobe, etc all have phone numbers for customer service. They seem to manage just fine.
  20. I mean, it has to be. It’s just really freaking me out as this is a huge deposit week for me. It’s things like this I wish Fiverr had a phone number because waiting for them to even get back to me is killing me.
  21. Has this been happening to anyone else? It just started yesterday and it keeps happening with all cleared revenue. I’m missing over $200 in my deposits. This is an example all for the same order. The funds cleared for a $5 order and I had $12 taken out of my account and refunded to the buyer. There was no cancellation.It’s triple the amount I even made on that order.I’ve contacted CS, but am growing increasingly alarmed as this continues to happen throughout today.
  22. Hi there! Please check your deposits from the earnings page for yesterday/today. I’m having an issue with every one of my completed orders being REVERSED and refunded. I’m missing almost $200 from deposits between yesterday and today. I’m currently talking to CS but am extremely alarmed. Contact CS immediately.
  23. I’ve had this happen twice in the past couple months. Both times I contacted CS and they refunded the money back to my account. It’s frustrating, but it should work out in your favor.
  24. It can be a hard thing to leave someone you love even if it’s making you unhappy or you know something is wrong. There are lots of fantastic youtube videos on narcissists which is a very common thing. I’ve learned a lot from them lately, that explain bad behavior I’ve noticed before. Some people have very strong barriers that quickly block someone when something is wrong, and others get curious about them. In this case curiosity can be a dangerous thing. My father is a classic narcissist, so having 28 years of experience with one has really put me on high alert when it comes to new relationships (social and working alike). For the sake of my time and my sanity, I’m quick to flag things and do my best to keep that kind of negativity out of my life. I can’t say I’m 100% accurate all the time, but I feel it’s better to be safe than sorry. That’s not to say I am suspicious of every person I speak with, but I’m familiar with most tell-tale signs. I feel like I have a good filter.
  25. Great minds think alike - I have a standard response I send to clients when I get that “vibe” from them about how I won’t be a good fit for their needs. I used to work it differently, but found a lot of customers would get combative, which was super weird? I still get it from time to time and I have to be like “Look, I was really trying to be polite. I just have no interest in working on your project.” Sometimes they need the blunt truth as well.
