  1. This is either a bug, or the clients are not telling you the truth (that they can rate and review you, but are choosing not to). You could contact support@fiverr.com to check.
  2. Moved to Fiverr Questions and correct answer marked. This seems strange to me though to have maintained a 1 hour response time yet have late orders. Spider sense... (wrongly perhaps).
  3. Yep! A friend of mine started at the end of August. He sells Google ads management / set up / optimisation. Anything to do with Google Ads. He actually created a gig back in January, but didn't take it seriously. It was an empty / terrible gig and understably nothing came of it. Then life happened, and he needed to earn money, so I suggested he look at Fiverr again. I didn't write or create anything for him (and I certainly didn't purchase from him), but I did look at and advise on his gigs. He actually came to live with me for the month of October and so each day was like a mini Fiverr boot camp lol. He's now flying along, will be level 2 by the 15th December (he was one completed order off getting it on the the 15th Nov), and the income so far in November covers his rent, bills and some spending money (not including tax in the calculation, that can wait!). Again, the magic formula of skills + ability to present/sell yourself + understanding how Fiverr works = success (usually). Other friends have been put off though by all the reasons you mention @zeus777, plus some other things lol.
  4. A lesson I learned at school the hard way is that plagiarism is not allowed (I was 7 years old and copied a friends french test) . It can get you in trouble and it can get you banned from places. Places such as exams / schools / freelancing platforms and forums. It can make people think you are not honest and honourable when in fact you are usually. It can make people think you don't know much about anything when in fact you do. It can make mods like me issuing warnings, or potentially ban you from the forum. You copied the above from another website. Please don't do it again, it doesn't add value to the forum.
  5. Ditto! I hate being on camera too. It's one of the reasons I didn't do it yet for my gigs. I may well put my video on the forum for some judgement. I'm not going to invest in specialist equipment, my iphone max will have to do but I'd be interested in (almost) everyones thoughts!
  6. How did I miss this!? I've been putting off gig videos for long enough, this is something for me to add to my ever growing to-do list! Thanks @vickieito!
  7. You did the right thing by contacting support. You could also ask the seller the cancel. There is nothing wrong in doing that. Anyway, CS should cancel the order, return your money to you and take action against the seller.
  8. Every seller has this option. Go to the gig you want to add a video to. Click 'edit'. Go to the gallery tab. Add your video there.
  9. A couple of weeks I think. If it's been 5 months I'd guess you were unsuccessful. You can check with CS though. I don't think Fiverr contacts sellers when they are unsuccessfull, only when their application is successful
  10. Hey Andy, good questions!@imagination7413can perhaps provide better insight but rest assured you're not on the naughty list so to speak. You'd know if you were. The amount of posts / messages you're allowed is based on your reputation score (not forum badge) as far as I'm aware. The goal is to prevent spam. I'm not saying your posts are spam, just that that is the goal of limiting new forum users. In time as your reputation grows so will your ability to post / message. As for displaying URLs / phone numbers / things sellers shouldn't, or admitting practices that breach ToS, you should always use the report button on the message. These shouldn't be appearing, it's not allowed, but frankly it's hard to always find or prevent these (much like gigs on the Fiverr main site that break ToS). Additionally, you can always flag the profile to myself or another mod in a message and we can take a look and issue a warning which hopefully drives corrective action. I'd also say that you can flag these to CS who will (I expect) with the Trust and Safety team review the issue and take action. FYI there are two kinds of mods in addition to the forum admin @mjensen415. There are regular Fiverr sellers like myself, @imagination7413 and @frank_dto name a few that do this as volunteers. Whilst we have some powers to warn users, hide posts and issue awards or extra points for helpful content to name a few we have no special powers to escalate issues. There are also some Fiverr staff members here such as @Lenawho help keep the forum on track / in good shape and would (I expect) have more powers than volunteers such as me. @Lena @mjensen415please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this!
  11. Have support changed / removed a buyers review from your profile before? If they have I'm sure it was because the buyer requested it, or the review broke ToS. This isn't about right or wrong. This is about Terms of Service. Reviews are only changed if the buyer requests that it is changed, or if the review breaks the ToS. The buyer is allowed to leave whatever review they want and as a seller you can leave whatever review you want, so long as it doesn't break ToS.
  12. @katakatica is a Top Rated Seller and has completed hundreds of orders. Her opinion is valid and worth listening to. The platform is not perfect, but nothing is. I think this issue is due to a difficult buyer and is an unfortunate situation. No more no less. It happens. It's best to just learn from it and move on.
  13. Correct! 100%. Fiverr describes pro as: Fiverr Pro is a premium marketplace that connects some of the biggest brands and businesses with top, manually-vetted freelancers. Our Fiverr Pro sellers have worked with some of the most influential brands in the world! I failed with my first application, I didn't take it seriously and was rightly rejected. I took my second application more seriously and it paid off. To be honest, whilst being Pro and TRS can help, you can still be hugely successful on Fiverr at Level 2. There are Level 2 sellers making over 100 USD per year, some even generate over 1m USD. Focus on improving your skills and your pro application can be successful. This is the only trick for pro.
  14. @greentyt I understand why you'd be frustrated by this experience, I know some buyers can be frustrating, but please know that all of the above people (@mariashtelle1 @katakatica @vickieito) are only trying to help by giving their perspective. Anyway, I once had a buyer, an IT Director no less, leave a less than good review because I delivered the docs via Google Drive (which I clearly state on my gig page). Like I say, some buyers can be frustrating! You and your profile will get past this. Even when you have 'bad buyers' it's always best not to be combative or shouty. It will feel good for a moment but won't be good in the long run. @vickieito nailed it with her recent post IMO. One other thing you mentioned that I didn't see covered.... I love that it's only 20%, and I only pay if I get an order. Much better than having all the costs of a website, hosting, google ads and social media and still maybe not getting a client. Even if I was getting clients, would I be getting a 5-1 return on my spend, it's unlikely. But hey, Fiverr isn't for everyone, and it can be a cruel beast sometimes, I do get that, but most of the time it's pretty well balanced and the cream will usually rise to the top. Enjoy the weekend and try not to let it get you down, you're better than one or two bad buyers!
  15. Moved to Fiverr questions and correct answer marked. Fiverr is legitimate, and W-9s are a requirement for US citizens. I'm having to do mine now (UK not US), but i fear so many freelancers 'forget' and one day their government will request info from Fiverr and come after then.
  16. I've seen this mentioned a lot recently, have I missed something? I was aware of BRs dying and the rise of briefs (neither of which I've ever really engaged with) and the segmenting of FBM and the 'good old fiverr' marketplace, but is there something else?
  17. Yep, I'm a great believer in what goes around comes around, both good and bad! That's very kind of you, it's been a long road of iteration. I had to pause some gigs to decide how to do things going forward. To be honest I'd been a bit negged out recently, but your comment really lifted me. It's amazing what a few nice words can do. Thank you!
  18. There are no real secrets, but there is some stuff that isn't well known. Some sellers are just lazy, and think there are secrets when the information is readily available. I'll tell you something that some don't know.... use keywords for your fiverr gig thumbnail file names.
  19. The algo is a bit of a mystery, but in terms of your order completion rate 1 day or a million days is still a late delivery.
  20. Fiverr released a new feature that means if the same buyer buys the same gig again after cancelling within 2 weeks then your stats are not impacted. But yes, you have the risk that the buyer doesn't buy after cancellation and you lose the money / time you have spent. To be honest, one cancellation or one late delivery shouldn't destroy you so long as you have some others orders. You just don't want to drop under 90%.
  21. You are correct, completely forgot about this new feature. Nice work! I'll update my answer so as to not spread disinformation.
  22. You have 2 3 options. 3rd option courtesy of @vickieito. I'd go with option 3. 1) Do an extension for 60 days, then another extension. But there's no point, it's still a late delivery. 2) Don't extend, deliver the order now. There is no point in extending the delivery now. It won't change the delivery from being counted as late. You need to extend before the order becomes late. 3) Cancel the gig and get the client to reorder. If they do this within 2 weeks of the cancellation your stats won't be impacted. Re 1 & 2 you could ask CS to remove the late mark from your stats, but I doubt they will because the order is late. They will say you should have requested the extension before the delivery became late.
  23. You're right, it comes down to gig quality, but also gig type. For example, my career coaching isn't eligible for FBM because it isn't considered a business service. This makes sense to me (kinda). I think Fiverr is (slowly) moving to be a business services focused platform, as opposed to just any freelancing service. They're slowly removing low quality gigs, and I expect will start limiting certain categories that aren't business focused. They really want to create two platforms I think. One for high end business services / large prices, and one for non business services, like careers, and probably witchcraft and wizardry. The problem I have is that business buyers aren't necessarily businesses. Buyers just set up a business account because they prefer the sound of it even if they're not an actual business.
  24. Two computers on one wifi is not a problem. Two Fiverr accounts on one wifi is not a problem. One user having two Fiverr accounts IS a problem. It is against terms of service and can get you banned. Why do you have two accounts?
  25. I expect Fiverr wants to test the initial relationship before fully committing / rolling it out fully and perhaps isn't paying enough to shutterstock to get everything. Hopefully that will change if it works for sellers and buyers....
