  1. Ah yes, it's absolutely important to know how to make armor, just in case you should end up in the Middle Ages. 😄 British Boilers! I didn't even know there was such a thing. 😄 Yes, I mean... 15,000 is hardly enough to call yourself qualified in the eyes of the almighty Neo. He is The One, after all. At best, that's novice level stuff. When you get to 15 million, you might be considered for Top Rated Enterprise Deluxe Plus Premium Pro Ultra, for just $99 per month plus taxes. Time to get started! The road to success for sellers like you, starts here – and begins with your participation in 246 AI webinars. And don't you dare fall alseep while ChatGPT speaks, or Neo will kung-fu-kick your success score.
  2. I would ask a professional accountant for advice, or reach out to local theft...ehrm...tax agencies for advice. As a general rule, I don't base my potential stays in His Majesties Hotel on online advice - and the post above which is pure GPT drivel illustrates why perfectly.
  3. As a copywriter and voice-over artist, I've learned about all sorts of odd topics over the years. For example, you could quiz me on the benefits of 3D-printed clear aligners, or the ins and outs of painting a wall, and I'd probably impress both the dentist and the painter. I might know more about herbs and vitamins than the hippie down at the local herbal shop, and I could likely diagnose and suggest treatments for gastrointestinal issues better than many doctors. If you happen to have a Siemens MRI machine in your garage that's gone a bit grumpy on you, I'll probably know how to repair it. And after creating and voicing hundreds of hours for cybersecurity companies, I’m probably more paranoid than anyone you know, unless you're friends with some Mr. Robot types. Most of this information is pretty useless outside my job, but while I was writing 2000 words about Invisalign for a website by heart and getting feedback that the company wanted to use it to "train our employees as well", I realized just how much random stuff I know far too much about. What are some of the strangest or most "pointless" topics you’ve become an "expert" in through your work? Disclaimer: I suffer from odontofobia and may shake uncontrollably if I smell latex gloves. All dental knowledge is purely theoretical. I'm not a licensed tech qualified to repair your Siemens MRI machine (and if you own one, may I also suggest speaking to your local clinical psychologist). My painting skills are on par with my toddler son (for confirmation, consult the wife). I certainly don't believe in herbal medicine, and I will not be your IT guy.
  4. When the buyer accepts the delivery, they can decide if they want to include the delivery in your portfolio or not. So it really is up to the buyer. If a buyer has published the video in your portfolio by mistake and want to have it taken down, they can reach out to support for assistance. Here's what the review process looks like, with the option to publish the work in a sellers portfolio or not. The video reviews can take days, depending on how many videos the team has to go through at any given time. I'd leave it for a while longer, and if it's not approved or declined in a few days, you can reach out to support and have them check in on that.
  5. It doesn't have to be. If you have some regular buyers, it would help if you impress them. With regular buyers leaving positive feedback over time, you can certainly get back up again. But if you don't have any regular buyers, I imagine that would be very difficult in your situation.
  6. Yeah, we all make mistakes. Too bad we sometimes have to learn by doing when it comes to these things. If the order is cancelled, it won't be opened back up. The buyer can place a new order, but I'm sure there's a good reason why the order was cancelled in the first place, so that's why support is the way to go. Sometimes, Fiverr will reimburse the seller even if the order was cancelled, but that depends on the situation.
  7. Unfortunately, there's no way of accepting a delivery when it's in revision, at least not directly. If a seller stops responding, you should contact support. They will reach out to the seller and see if they can get them back on the ball. Perhaps they can change the status of the order to delivered so you can accept the delivery. If not, support will assist with cancelling the order and refund you. I understand that this isn't the solution you were hoping for, and that you would prefer to accept the sellers initial delivery. If the seller has already sent you the files (without a watermark etc.) you could scroll up on the order page and locate the delivery, if I'm not mistaken. You can raise a ticket with support here. Help & Support | Fiverr Anyway, I hope this helps!
  8. You should reach out to support for additional help with the order and to find out why it was cancelled by support. And as a general rule you should never pay for anything out of pocket for a buyer. You're not protected on Fiverr as one might expect, and if you pay for something and the buyer cancels, you probably won't get those money back.
  9. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about your issue on the forum. Your best bet is reaching out to support again. It's my experience that regular sellers get an automated reply based on keywords in their message, and only get to speak with a human after they've bumped the ticket.
  10. Be careful so you don't offend someone who identifies as having dyscalculia. They might think that 2+2 is five, and we have to respect and honor that facts can change based on feelings. 🙂 Or else...
  11. I think so, too. I'm just a bit tabloid. Adding a crying emoji to a Facebook post about someone's death is as far as I'll go.
  12. We have a similar one in Norway called Dagbladet. But it's tame compared to The Sun. But who am I to complain... I own a newspaper and it's pretty tabloid. Nowhere close to The Sun, of course.
  13. If you need to reach support without access to your account, you can send them an e-mail at support@fiverr.com
  14. So we're supposed to get AI wisdom from the geniuses who unleashed Neo on the world and thought it was a brilliant idea to let AI dictate the value of human talent? The more these AI-obsessed companies double down on AI, the more disastrous the outcomes. Just look at some of the recent outreach from Fiverr. It's been pure GPT drivel. It's like an endless snooze-fest, and it's taking the human out of the equation. I'm no AI hater, but the boilerplate nonsense being pushed by platforms using AI for everything is nothing short of a masterclass in mediocrity. When you start viewing AI as a business partner, and not just a tool guessing which words or what pixel to churn out next, I, personally, think you got this all wrong. But I guess that's where we're headed. We're not "staying ahead" of AI – we're chasing it like there was no tomorrow, and human creativity and skill has already suffered for it. I'll end this off with a quote from Norwegian Associate Professor Are Bøe Pedersen at the NLA University in Norway, from his article, "ChatGPT makes you dumber". "Allowing students to use language models like ChatGPT in academic work lowers their performance, trains them to procrastinate, and leads to cognitive decline. Perhaps we should not rush to integrate it into studies and work? Initially, I joked that if the predictions about ChatGPT were to come true — that it would be used by students for writing and by teachers for grading — the future of Norwegian language subjects would consist of texts that no one had written and no one had read. It was meant as a joke, but it's becoming increasingly closer to reality. " The original article can be found in Norwegian here: ChatGPT gjør deg dummere (khrono.no)
  15. Is that R2D2 I see in the background?
  16. I've declined hundreds of briefs, just like Mike, and never had my stats drop because of it.
  17. I agree with @visualstudios on this one. When the buyer doesn't even know what kind of review they're leaving until it's done and have to guess by clicking emojies on three different pages... On what claims to be a serious freelance site who's working on going upmarket... I mean. Yeah.
  18. Bait and switch isn't allowed on Fiverr. This is laid out clearly in the community guidelines on misrepresentation: Integrity and Authenticity - Fiverr's Community Standards If you get a boilerplate response from CS, it's probably automated. If so, try responding to the ticket again, as that will escalate it to a human in my experience.
  19. Why didn't you share yours? 😛 Here's mine: Ok, Ok, so it's not. But it will be once I take over the world. In the meantime... (No, that's not my voice over studio).
  20. You could have a look here:
  21. As a pro seller, I (supposedly) have access to a higher tier of support, so I've let them know about this bug since it's impacting me too. Perhaps the "pro support" will offer us the next letter in this riddle. 🙂 I'm not too concerned about ad spend and I hardly ever look at those stats because I just monitor it through the monthly bill. As long as I'm getting a solid ROI, I don't stress about it much. But I understand others might. I am here to tell you that they do, because ChatGPT is now in charge of product development. 😄 I've suggested something similar when it comes to the team doing outreach, after being hit by wall after wall of GPT-generated mumbo-jumbo. While I wouldn't recommend that anyone work with a five-dollar seller, I'm not sure Fiverr could even find out who the real pros are in their own pool of pros after the recent updates to that bit of the site. Another job well done. You can bet they will.
