I got 9 messages within few hours and most of them were already mark as spam from Fiverr. But still some of them are open to chat. Please mark them as a spam as well.

This is unbelievable I received 23 so far. when will people stop scamming! Maybe it’s time fiverr starts increasing security, they should not let anybody sign up so easily. it’s strange how people always try to find ways to ruin something good.

I have received these messages too. Hopefully, fiverr will add more security now. it’s so annoying. I didn’t open them on fiverr. only from my email. Thanks for the warning @fonthaunt. 🙂

@fonthaunt yes i have also received spam message . Many of my friends are saying not to click on the link! They may hack accounts ! 😦 Is it correct??
I think fiverr team is taking action because these profiles are banned and reported by sellers and buyers receiving the spam!

@aldodel i think fiverr should automatically correct the response rate if anybody get spam message!
I am afraid because am just starting and reaching level one my response rate may get low and effects my sales! 😦

Fiverr handled it as quickly as they could. They were actually very responsive considering that the location of several Fiverr offices were in the middle of the night for their zone when it happened. They also are glad to help any user whose response rate was affected. It takes time to stop messages completely if it’s bot-created and changing names and IP addresses, but they did it within hours. That’s as responsive as you can get on this issue, isn’t it?

It is unlikely it could hurt you. If you are still concerned, you can always change your Fiverr password to be on the safe side.

Mostly good thinking on reporting to the ISP (although I also wouldn’t reccomend DDos since it could get the wrong people in trouble.) 🙂

You can mark them as spam yourself by clicking report on the inbox message.

Ok, I’ve looked over this thread again and as far as I can see, all the questions have been answered. If your personal comment didn’t get answered that is because it was already answered elsewhere in the thread, probably more than once. Just read carefully and you’ll find your answers. Thanks to all for reporting these so Fiverr knew quickly it was a large issue. Thread will now be closed to new replies.
