Is the fiverr skill test  necessary?

In some of skill category Fiverr skill test is mandatory and you have to pass that skill before publish the gig.

Skill Test enhance your buyer's confident about your skill.

My question is actually that I don't see access to take a skill test. I am not required to, but I would like to show that I have taken one.

I followed the directions on a PC desktop. There is no 'take a skill test' option under my profile image. Anyone?

Before publishing the gig, you must pass a skill test in one or more of Fiverr's skill categories.

Tests of skill increase the trust that buyers have in your abilities.

How?

If it's only needed for a gig to get approved as @shuvo_va said then yes. If not, it's like a profile decoration. Buyers can notice how good you are in your niche by talking with you.

I simply find it strange that you can score 9.8/10 on an English test and 10/10 on a content writing test when you can barely speak English.
