  1. Alex, I wanted to know this thing in detail and I would be grateful if you could enlighten my smol brain cells. If our order is in revision stage for a long time (and the primary delivery time has already passed), will it affect our account metrics in any way? I know this can affect customer satisfaction, but what if the client knows that it will take time to make the changes and the buyer has literally no problem with that revision window & is not in a hurry. So, apart from customer satisfaction and relations, I want to ask this from algorithm perspective.
  2. This might be because someone left a bad private rating on one of your recent orders. I have faced this problem twice in my entire career and I was getting hardly 20-30 impressions per day. One time, it took my gig 1 month to get back on the track and second time, it took me 3 months. So, it can take from weeks to months for your gig to be back to normal. Now, coming to the solution:- Things will not suddenly get better without any effort. Since you don't have repeat buyers, you need to find buyers from some other source (like social media), and increase your BSR (buyer satisfaction rate). You have to prove to Fiverr that you have really improved your services and are working hard now. Just sitting without orders will not work. This is where repeat buyers come to the rescue. Since I have lots of repeat buyers, I never went out of business. Even during those rough months, I did not see any negative impact on my earnings and orders. So, always provide exceptional experience to your buyers so that they become your repeat customers and you don't have to worry when your gig impressions go down.
  3. These cheap sellers and copycats have no other job than to copy paste other seller's gig. I even know a seller on Fiverr who literally copied my gig. But since his account is completely dead, I am not taking any action. 🥲🥲
  4. I got my first order the same day I made my account. I had a lot of clients on social media so just shared my gig link with some old clients and my order went through. And, then the very next day another order from the same buyer. Then, I didn't get any orders for about 6-7 days (neither did I try because I was busy with my old IRL clients), and then after a week, bang! I suddenly started getting a lot of impressions and I remember about 6-8 active orders coming in at the same time on my brand new account. So, my advice to all my fellow sellers:- Don't wait! No one will come to help you and push your account as the Fiverr marketplace is very saturated and a lot of new accounts are created every day. Start marketing your work on social media and convert your IRL/social-media clients into your Fiverr clients. All you need is a little push and a few orders with good metrics and then the Fiverr algorithm will do the rest for you to grow your gig.
  5. What I personally think about Neo:- It's just a gimmick and is exactly the same thing, i.e., "briefs". Before, everything was working in the backend and users could not see what was happening. Now, it will let buyers see a few options for sellers in the frontend of the website, and decide for themselves who to message. The functionality is probably going to remain "roughly" the same:- 1. Buyers submit requirements 2. Fiverr Algorithm Finding Matches 3. Show relevant matches to buyers (new addon in NEO) 4. Sending briefs to selected sellers. So, I think only point (3) is a new addon in the algorithm which is showing the options in frontend instead of evaluating everything in backend. The algorithm is probably going to be the same. Now, please don't beat me because these are just my personal views. Nobody knows how things are going to turn out, so that's just what I think.
  6. Here, I would definitely agree. In 'buyer requests', people were asking for an entire game like PUBG for $5. But in briefs, although my minimum rate is set to default i.e., $5, but still I am getting briefs of buyers with budget of $100-200. But the situation is that till date I have not been able to finalise even a single deal. Either the description is too vague or the request is outside the scope of the service I am providing. And, one thing I've noticed with most briefs is that buyers always forget to attach a reference image or concept art and fill the description with gibberish that even my little brain cells can't understand. Example of the brief I get. I don't understand a single sentence in it (and these are briefs I am getting everyday) 😄:-
  7. First, improve the quality of your thumbnails/images. Half of the text is literally cut off and the rest of the text is completely unreadable and painful to the eyes. Even if Fiverr will try to boost your gig in search results, no buyer will click on these thumbnails and eventually your chances of getting impressions will be slim to none.
  8. There is nothing strange in this. Usually buyers send messages to multiple sellers at the same time and copy paste the same message to all. Now, whoever answers them first and is able to convince them will get the deal. So, try to be as active as possible in responding to buyers. Why are you waiting for their reply? I personally leave a message after 24 hours of their last message saying "Hi, I just wanted to follow up and know if this project is still available. I look forward to your response. Thanks!"... and if they don't respond to this message, I don't look back at them. Instead of wasting time waiting for them, focus on other potential buyers.
  9. 1. Remove your wedding photo from profile picture 😄 2. Don't lie by saying on your profile that you are fluent in English. And now you are the best seller in the world.
  10. You can open a support ticket with customer support and they will be able to do this for you.
  11. First suggestion is don't share your gig link here. Instead, share the gig link with potential buyers who are going to buy your service after clicking it, not with forum members who are going to click it & close the tab and reduce your conversion rate .
  12. You don't need to spam random text and suggestions in another language everywhere. Your profile says you're very fluent in English, so why not use it here?
  13. There is a possibility that someone left a bad private rating on one of your orders. But since you are a social media manager, you can promote your work on social media and get orders from outside. Deliver exceptional service to those orders and you can get back on track.
  14. Although, Fiverr allows you to keep your single account logged in on different devices and different WiFi connections with no issues. But your situation is a bit different. In university, since everyone is studying the same subject (let's say graphics designing), it is highly likely that many students will have their account on the same service on Fiverr. This can confuse Fiverr that you are trying to cheat the system by selling the same service on multiple devices. So, there are two possible solutions that I can remember: 1) Do not connect WiFi and use your mobile cellular internet when using Fiverr. 2) Contact customer support and get their help and permission.
  15. Whenever you get ping-pong message notification on your phone/desktop. The concept of staying online to receive orders is a myth. So, you don't need to be online and just sit there for no reason refreshing your dashboard. Just keep your notifications on and come online whenever you need to!
  16. Fiverr doesn't know they are fake buyers. So, for the sake of safety, reply to them with a message like, "Thanks for getting in touch. We won't be able to work together for trust and security reasons". Don't forget to report and block them so they can't message you and other sellers again.
  17. Uff, I can't quite get rid of this mixed feeling. I am happy that I will be eligible so soon, but I am concerned that making it easy might kill the premium feel of the top-rated tier. I know the process is still the same and we have to provide exceptional service to be a top-rated seller, but still the eligibility criteria was good earlier (from my point of view).
  18. He was quoting your language selection as "Fluent English". Your description and writing style is merely 'Conversational' but you have decided to fill in that field with 'Fluent'.
  19. There may be a possibility that this subcategory is already over-saturated with too many sellers, and Fiverr does not want to add new members to this subcategory. Or there could be a possibility that Fiverr is considering merging this subcategory with another subcategory. Who knows! Have you tried contacting customer support?
  20. It is really a plus point for you that you are getting orders outside the Fiverr. If you are looking to build your platform here (for the long term), you can promote your gigs to your existing social media clients and continue your journey here. If you do well, eventually you will start getting orders here too. It's hard for Fiverr to trust the credibility of a new profile with 0 orders and 0 reviews, but if you can manage to get some regular orders (with good metrics), you might have a smoother ride.
  21. Both are different from each other and have their own distinct benefits. 1. Promoted Gigs: You can pay a little money to promote your gigs, so that it gets advertised among buyers and you get more impressions (and more orders). 2. Seller Plus: It does not "directly" help in increasing impressions or getting orders. But you do get access to advanced analytics and keyword research, and you get a chance to research your gig keywords and understand how you're performing. Not to mention about other benefits, such as 7-days payment clearance, priority support, etc.
  22. Of course, this may differ from category-to-category. But the question is, is it a big issue and do we face these issues on a regular basis? Personally, I can barely remember when anyone ordered one order outright. My clients (even new buyers) first come to inbox for discussions and then place an order through custom offers. But again, that too depends person-to-person and category-by-category. I do not have the collective data of all sellers as I am not a staff, so we can only point out things from our personal point of view. What is the percentage of orders you get directly (if you want to share with other members like me)?
  23. Then it will be overused too badly. Everyone is going to lock their gigs and remove the direct buy button. From the buyers perspective (who are new to the platform), it doesn't look too good. To new buyers, it may sound like a complicated process to buy any service. So, make your gig description as clear as possible, so that buyers can immediately judge whether you are a good fit for their project or not. But nowadays, sellers use the description field for keyword and SEO purposes (basically spam) and not to describe their service (for which that field is created), and then they complain that buyers automatically place orders. I am a Seller Plus: Premium member and have access to that feature, but still my gigs are open for direct purchase as the description and tier of my gigs are very clear and I don't have to worry too much about these things.
  24. Is this still a trend to write "stay online to increase ranking" in 2023, lmao! You need to stay OFFLINE for a few weeks to get your facts straight my friend.
  25. You can do so by going into the Resolution Center. The order amount must be more than $100 though. For more info, you can check out: https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/15770574712977-Partial-refunds
