  1. Here's what Fiverr says on the topic: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010949038-4-Things-to-Do-Before-Creating-Your-Gig https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010451397-Creating-a-Gig https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010452317-Best-Practices-for-New-Fiverr-Sellers-Gigs
  2. Do you have any video recording of you actually playing the guitar? The stock footage is nice, but it makes you look fake. Never a good idea in a business setting.
  3. They're... kind of not? When a child enters school for the first time, he or she is not expected to 'catch up' to a student who's about to graduate. Just like there are no shortcuts to learning the material in school, there are no shortcuts to establishing a long-lasting business. Growth takes time, experience, dedication, and self-education.
  4. It seems we don't have the option, but we are going to add some more rewards pretty soon that will grant much higher levels of points for those who are creating and participating in conversations. I know this post is a few days old, but I somehow missed it then. According to the Invision guide, it's completely possible to make reactions not worth anything. https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/member-functions/reputation-and-reactions-r171/ Also, when the forum was on Discourse, there was a cap of... I want to say 50ish reactions per day. While I know some of my fellow Regulars really like to react, it did help before the migration to make people actually think before reacting, and if it was worth spending those limited reactions. Plus, with Invision displaying reactions on our profile feeds (which is just plain clutter), the limit should probably be reinstated.
  5. I don't like this. Same with "Tips from Buyers." It doesn't make sense, as they are literally filled with advice to help and aid and Sellers and Buyers. This is a basic business principle. While the source of a product or service is important (quality, authenticity, and ethically), it's equally as important as who or what the product/service is for. Plus, as mentioned, we have Sellers who are also Buyers (SwaaBs) who would need to be differentiated and I know of several Sellers would prefer that their SwaaB status not be publicly known, due to getting bombarded with 'buy order from me' spam.
  6. Welcome to the forums. 7. Have you communicated this to your Buyer? Even if it's just a technical glitch, it's a good idea to keep your Buyer informed, especially if you request an extension, so that they know why you are asking for more time. Plus, as long as you hold to the predetermined deadline, even if Fiverr's deadline is farther out, then the Buyer should be okay with the extension, if you stay in good communication with them. Try extending it anyway. According to: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/17120470090769-Delivery-time-extension- Again: communication. Keep the Buyer informed. I've had to request an extension before, due to a storm in my area that threatened to take out power. It didn't, and I was able to deliver on time, but the extra just-in-case time was a simple precaution.
  8. If those new messages are from the same user, those don't affect the response rate. Source: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010452637-Response-rate-and-response-time-FAQs

  10. Concerning portfolio, it's limited to who has access to that feature: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/4413134063633-Using-My-Portfolio Concerning linking social networks with your account, everything I've read indicate that those don't really matter. They're not even mentioned in the Fiverr Help Center pages. https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050063113-How-do-I-create-a-Fiverr-account- https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010558598-Creating-your-seller-Profile https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011421218-Gig-policies
  11. Unfortunately that information is VERY outdated, and it's a feature that no longer exists. Welcome to the forums. I would suggest starting here: https://community.fiverr.com/forum_rules/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/278683-new-to-the-forum-welcome-here-are-5-tips-for-efficient-forum-use-–-how-to-make-the-forum-work-better-for-yourself-and-for-everyone/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/282146-how-to-be-successful-on-fiverr-common-questions-answered-and-a-collection-of-great-posts-that-helped-me-achieve-trs/

  13. In addition to what was said above, playtesting usually means you're playing an incomplete game, which mean frustrating or unclear puzzles, bugs, glitches, poor controls, poor mechanics, repetitive placeholder graphics (if there are any graphics in the first place) and/or text and/or sound effects (if, again there are any in the first place), unclear instructions, inconsistent or contradictory instructions, etc. Another point to bring up, is that most playtesting for indy developers is VERY different than for larger studios. Indy devs are on tighter budgets, and aren't as likely to pay individuals. From what I've watched/read, open-ended feedback is the least sought after kind of playtesting that devs want. So, they're also unlikely to seek out individuals to play their games (with intent to pay) unless those persons already have established reputations for giving valuable, relevant, clear, actionable feedback. 'Possible' does not equate to 'likely'.
  14. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄 Don't be afraid to take a moment to breath if you need, be sure to stay hydrated, and may you find smiles and peace amongst the craziness of the season.
  15. Thank you for seeking further clarification! That shows me that you are actually interested in learning and not just trying to play the forum. It's nice to see people who are actually looking to self-educate. Impressions and clicks only count if they are from the Fiverr.com platform. You cannot see impressions nor clicks from external sources. There used to be an additional statistic called 'views' that did track external-to-internal traffic, but that was removed long ago. It does not matter if they are signed in or not. If they visit the Fiverr platform, you might get an impression, since every gig page will show some of your other gigs if they scroll down enough. This post is a bit old, but still very relevant: https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/73962-impressions-arent-all-that-important-heres-why/ You won't. Fiverr doesn't share that data. Actual conversions are more important than any of the other statistics, anyway. Fiverr does share this, though: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011079098-How-to-effectively-use-buyer-requirements "In your buyer requirements, you can add a requirement to ask where the buyer found your Gig." I'd be a bit cautious using this, though, as Buyers dislike playing twenty questions, just to get the thing they ordered, and (last I checked) Fiverr already includes three of their own questions in the requirements.
  16. Please see: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010750318-Viewing-Gig-Statistics (The information you're looking for is in the 'General Analytics' section.)
  17. DMing you. Thank you for seeking clarification on the warning.
  18. Have you read the forum rules, so as to understand why you were issued the warning? The first time, yes, the warning points were removed, as it was an issue you were capable of fixing yourself. This time, prove that you know the rules first, and I'll consider remove the warning itself, but not the points.
  19. Value. If the Buyer isn't getting what they paid for, I have failed as a service provider. (Your gig is breaking the Fiverr Terms of Service. B2C is not permitted. https://www.fiverr.com/community/standards/prohibited-services)
  20. As was already mentioned: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017729338-Promoted-Gigs (link to Fiverr Help Center page, in case anyone else wanted to know) Fiverr doesn't share what those 'additional metrics' are, so that people don't cheat.
  21. Checking in. Was sick (with what I'm pretty sure was Covid) twice this year, and both those months are rather hazy in my memory other than the 'bleh' feeling. I stopped drinking coffee the first time I caught ill, and found out I sleep way, way better when I'm not having a cup a day, so I never really resumed. Which is sad, because all the holiday flavors are out and they smell delicious, but I (shockingly) like sleep better than I like coffee. (I beseech the King to forgive this transgression, based on the number four. I'm not sure why 'four', when 42 is the answer, but his Highness seems to like the number a lot, since he repeats it regularly along with the numbers one, two, and three.) AI is here to stay, and even after a year I still have mixed thoughts. I've seen some incredibly good AI art, and I've seen incredibly bad. I can usually pick out AI writing, as long as it's longer than a sentence or two, but it's abused so much. I have not tried AI prompts for myself, and I don't plan to anytime soon. (I've always been a 'late adapter' type of the market segment.) Fiverr hasn't been my main source of income for more than two years, but I also have noticed fewer inquiries/orders. My day job has also seen noticeable decline, and the owner is close to retirement, so the business might not even exist this time next year. I don't particularly like the job, so I won't be upset if it vanishes. I've got decent savings, in case something happens. It's been a really rough year for some of the people close to me, but I've been mostly fine.

  23. Ha! This is the good kind of post the Tips for Sellers Category needs: I like seeing topics that hasn't been covered countless times already, AND you included a visual example! I'd actually started crafting a post like this right before Fiverr changed the recommended aspect ratio, but I'd still been researching/testing it and then the ratio was updated so my image became outdated.
  24. I glanced at your profile. Do you only translate text, or do you also translate speech? If you can translate audio, you might want to consider recording a few lines, that will show potential Buyers that you can actually speak the languages. AI is getting better, but it can't substitute yet. Show people that you are a better choice.
