  2. Welcome to the Fiverr forums. I would suggest starting here: https://community.fiverr.com/forum_rules/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/278683-new-to-the-forum-welcome-here-are-5-tips-for-efficient-forum-use-–-how-to-make-the-forum-work-better-for-yourself-and-for-everyone/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/282146-how-to-be-successful-on-fiverr-common-questions-answered-and-a-collection-of-great-posts-that-helped-me-achieve-trs/
  3. Have you been following the News category here in the forums? There have been a LOT of new changes over the last month, and will be more over the next few. Reviews are not the only factor in Fiverr. Source: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011028318-Managing-your-Gigs
  4. The rules are at the top of every forum page. I'm sorry to hear you're going through this, but Fiverr Staff are rarely on the forums. We on the forums only have your half of the story, which is why naming other users isn't permitted, as they have no way to defend themselves. On-topic: If 'database' wasn't a part of the original Order contract when you ordered from the Seller, then it's perfectly in the Seller's rights to request payment. (That said, if the Seller is requesting payment outside of the Fiverr platform, yes that is a ToS violation.) If the Seller is requesting an unusually high amount, then... yeah, there's a major problem. Fiverr cannot force the Seller to give what it doesn't have access to. The only other approach I can think of that you can take is that the Seller failed to deliver the original product, since they've rescinded your access. The problem is that the order was 'completed' a year ago, and might not be eligible for cancelation. (See the Terms of Service section 5.1, and Payment Terms section 6.) As for changing your review on the Seller... I'm not sure. the ToS section 5.3 and the linked Help Center page aren't much help, I'll agree, unless there is, quote, "a clear terms of service violation". About the only other thing I can caution in regards to Customer Support is to NOT open multiple tickets. They really don't like that. You could try to politely request they escalate the issue. --- I know you're out of posts for today, they should refresh in 24 hours.
  5. For sake of honesty (and saving time), it really doesn't matter. Your gig is your selling point, not your username, and if a potential Buyer is interested enough to click on your gig, they will (as you observed) see your display name. It's like a company and a brand name owned by that company. If someone wants Oreos, they're not going to look for the "Nabisco" on the package. (Well, unless they're worried about counterfeits, but if they're that conscientious, they'll know what to look for.) Buyers on the forums have almost never said that they look at a username as criteria when they are looking to buy. The one time I can recall it coming up, it was because the username was either profane or crass (been too long, can't remember which), and even then the complaint was that it was even allowed by Fiverr. Nothing about the services that user was offering.
  6. SWOT analysis, huh? But just the 'W'? Hard to define without the rest. So: Strengths: First mover advantage, back in 2010-ish (you can check Wikipedia for the basics). From what I've read, it's fairly easy to use as a Buyer. As a Seller, I think it's also gotten a bit easier to navigate, and I've read fewer posts about some bugs. Has a global talent base. Weaknesses: mediocre reputation. Granted, most mass-scale freelancer sites struggle to a degree, but Fiverr has no barrier to entry and thus attracts a LOT of less than reputable folk, both Buyers and Sellers. Language barriers are a problem, as are culture clashes. Opportunities: AI. Fiverr embraced this opportunity quickly last year (maybe too quickly). Both for sellers to offer as a service (prompt engineers and fixing what AI generates) and internally in the business. Has helped some with the communication issues. Threats: AI. As a business based on connecting wants with talent, the advent of AI is also a huge threat to the Sellers who provide the services Buyers purchase, especially the middle-talented. AI is still in VERY early stages, so it's unknown how it will develop.

  9. What kind of result are you looking for?
  10. From the many accounts I've read here on the forums, it's actually pretty rare to get an order right away. There's a wide range of 'first order' timeframes, from hours to months to years. Some people never get an order. I glanced at your gig. Not bad, though nothing outstanding. I do think your gig images are a bit too busy, so they don't look very good at the thumbnail scale, which is how buyers will first see your gig.
  11. That is not the purpose of the new Fiverr Agency. It's for businesses that already exist outside of Fiverr. Source: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/21099496893585-Fiverr-agencies
  12. That right there is one of the things to look out for. Her needs were already unclear, and when you asked for clarification and got no word back, you made an assumption. Never assume.
  13. You've been on the forums since Mar '22, which means (according to your screenshot) you have three more years before you'll hit the limit. I'd actually guess the limit is more of an anti-spam measure.
  14. Firstly, how long have you had Gigs up? Your profile states you've been on Fiverr since September of last year. If you've only been a Seller for a week or so, then getting an order already is good, and I would say 'keep doing what you're doing'. If you've been a Seller for those five+ months, and made no alterations to your Gigs, then you should probably change things up. Your linked gig is in a hyper-competitive category, so earning more orders means you must stand out more than your many, many competitors.
  15. False. External traffic is not shown in statistics. Source: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010750318-Viewing-Gig-statistics
  16. https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011028318-Managing-your-Gigs At a guess, poor private review. There have been some major changes in the review system lately.
  17. Day job: I do tasks, so that my coworkers can focus on their (more specialized) tasks. Freelance job: I help people improve the story they show me, to better match the story that's in their head, in a way that other people will understand and enjoy.
  18. You can read Fiverr's policy here: https://www.fiverr.com/legal-portal/legal-terms/terms-of-service (Hint: section 8.1)
  19. Maybe try a different freelancing site? Generally, boycotts are what people do when they don't like how a business is operating. Don't like what they're doing? Don't give them your money.
