  1. Here are some articles that Fiverr provides for new sellers: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010451297-How-to-start-selling-on-Fiverr https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360010949038-4-Things-to-Do-Before-Creating-Your-Gig?segment=seller https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011094958-SEO-tricks-for-Gig-titles https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010451397-Creating-a-Gig https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011421218-Gig-policies https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/4410883326481-Gig-image-guidelines-Making-the-most-of-your-Gig-image https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010452317-Best-practices-for-new-Fiverr-Sellers-Gigs https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010451657-Adding-a-Video-to-your-Gig https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011079098-How-to-effectively-use-buyer-requirements https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011175377-Fiverr-seller-safety-best-practices https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/12792122691601-Communication-The-Dos-and-Don-ts
  2. FYI for anyone else interested in listening: Actual report starts at 1:03, the title topic starts at 2:44 ends at about 14:57 I think it's fine. Good content, though not for newcomers. Feels more like a report of your experience than a "Tip for Sellers", though you do have some good basics in there. (Charge what you are worth, don't be afraid to say 'no', be good at what you offer, etc.)
  3. Which blogs did you read? If they were not official Fiverr blogs, then it's no surprise that whatever you are doing isn't working. If they are official Fiverr blogs, then you may be interpreting them incorrectly. Welcome to the forums, by the way. I would suggest starting here: https://community.fiverr.com/forum_rules/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/278683-new-to-the-forum-welcome-here-are-5-tips-for-efficient-forum-use-–-how-to-make-the-forum-work-better-for-yourself-and-for-everyone/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/282146-how-to-be-successful-on-fiverr-common-questions-answered-and-a-collection-of-great-posts-that-helped-me-achieve-trs/
  4. In your own screenshot of the search results, the edges of your image are cut off. Plus the words are misaligned. Lastly, IT (information technology) technical support isn't really accurate to what you offer in that gig. The three other gigs shown in your screenshot offer computer support first and foremost. Generally, anything greater-than-zero is a good improvement. There is no approximate. It can take hours, days, weeks, months, years... some Sellers never get an order.
  5. ... There's a reason they were called 'mek-sels' in the depths of forum history... Sale, sell, seller =/= sail, cell, cellar. Remembered an older thread that accumulated a lot of these: https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/243848-terms-to-not-use-on-the-forum-or-with-clients/ (I've got to clock in for my day-job, or I'd happily elaborate/explain the one I listed, and pick out the other ones mentioned in that thread.)
  6. "Gig" vs. "concert" is another common auto-translate error. Fiverr originally borrowed the term 'gig', which is (historically) a term in the music industry for a job. Thus the auto-translators fail to understand that a Gig is not a gig/concert. From: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concert
  7. Fiverr isn't Google. Unless things have changed recently, when you upload an image to Fiverr for a gig, it eliminates the meta data. The only thing that even slightly matters is the file name. Source: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/15863342952977-Gig-Images-General-Gig-image-guidelines Fiverr has state more than once that the title is by far the most important for their internal search engine, followed by description. 8. It's the word choice that's the problem. I've said it before and I'll say it again: 'Share online' IS NOT the same thing as 'establish a social media presence'. That's the basics of the Help Center article: brand and reputation.
  9. Well, there's a YouTube video saved to the bookmark bar that starts with "Freelancing With Hi..." I would like to know the source of this information too. @shamim_gorib, if you want to have credibility, you need two things. you need to cite your sources of information. You did link the Fiverr Help Center in your second point. Why didn't you do that for the other points? if you do NOT have a source to cite, you need to demonstrate and prove that the advice is valid. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_method
  10. He said "BD" meaning Bangladesh, with an image of the Bangladesh flag. The user's been spamming emoji all over the forum. That's what @filipdevaere's referencing, since there's no emoji. That user is now restricted and I'm just finishing reviewing all 246 of the user's posts and hiding all of the unhelpful zero-content bumps. --- More on topic: I live near the coast and commute to work, and there is FOG this morning. Also, both record high AND record low within a span of seven days. Muggy morning.
  11. Your "about this gig" gig description is more about you than the gig. While being able to write for "200 niches" is a boon, on Fiverr it's a good idea to niche down, not up. A catch-all gig is fine, but Sellers are permitted 7 gigs, so you can pick your 6 most-knowledgeable niches and make writing gigs specific to each. https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/282146-how-to-be-successful-on-fiverr-common-questions-answered-and-a-collection-of-great-posts-that-helped-me-achieve-trs
  12. Supply and demand. Sometimes you just have to adapt to what the market wants. https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/282452-the-dangers-of-asking-the-wrong-questions/ This is not to say that you can't break into those market segments, but you will need to prove to potential Buyers that you can offer better value than your competitors.
  13. Welcome to the forums.
  14. Current resident of North Carolina USA, but still a Montanan at heart. I miss being able to see the horizon. Not at this time of year, methinks.
  15. To my fellow regulars; I've moved the off-topic discussion to: https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/322174-myth-busters-101-does-forum-usage-affect-your-marketplace-performance
  16. Welcome to the forums. I would suggest starting here: https://community.fiverr.com/forum_rules/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/278683-new-to-the-forum-welcome-here-are-5-tips-for-efficient-forum-use-–-how-to-make-the-forum-work-better-for-yourself-and-for-everyone/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/282146-how-to-be-successful-on-fiverr-common-questions-answered-and-a-collection-of-great-posts-that-helped-me-achieve-trs/ In regards to creating a gig, you'll need to be a bit more specific about where in the process you are stuck.
  17. If you want to experiment with those dimensions, go ahead: test the presented hypothesis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_method
  18. I've read those, too. None recently, though. It's still not a good practice to encourage, permitted or not, as the thought underlying the action is usually the intent to remain online. There have been several posts lately that have noted that the filter isn't always available.
  19. Your screenshot only shows one upload.
  20. I know it might be a loose interpretation, but the Terms of Service do imply such. I'm not very knowledgeable in bandwidth and hosting but I would thing enough users near-constantly refreshing is probably a drain on an already resource intense site. Exactly. Fiverr doesn't share that information. We don't know and, as many workers have testified (online AND offline): People who are in a rush and want 'NOW' service are often the most difficult to work with.
  21. I talked about it a bit here, if you're interested. https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/242470-2-mio-services-available-on-fiverr/?do=findComment&comment=1906118 https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/242470-2-mio-services-available-on-fiverr/?do=findComment&comment=1906436
  22. For your consideration: https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/107342-communicating-the-value-of-your-gig-to-buyers-upyour/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/104203-how-to-up-your-prices-sensibly-and-sustainably-upyour/
  23. GOOD. When Fiverr first started to permit AI gigs, this was actually in the Community Standards. Sadly, they removed it. Now they put the burden of responsibility on the Buyer. Source: https://www.fiverr.com/community/standards/ai-generated-content I wasn't around for the transition from the thumbs up/down to the on-a-scale-of-one-to-five, but this thought often pops up in my headspace. If those profiles had 'started' at less-than-perfect five stars, would we have nearly as many people so very afraid to loose their perfect score today?
  24. If you agree with someone, you can use this: Zero-content posts are generally unappreciated, as they cause clutter and make the forum more difficult to read.
