  3. I think AI could be trained to recognize the difference between a simple typo and improper verb tenses with jumbled sentences full of gibberish as we see here in the forum every day. If I were responding on the mobile app I might type: "Hi, Thanks for contacting me, I'll take a look when I retrn later." I would never say: "Hello Dear, thank your knocking me, I will later get backs to you." It's easy to differentiate a mistake from gibberish.
  4. I did look and see that you are priced nicely. Am I to understand that you get $1,000 orders from people who have no idea what they want? That seems odd.
  5. Is this perhaps a reason to fine tune your offering in terms of written details to eliminate misunderstandings, and look at raising your prices so you don't attract clueless buyers?

  8. So you support walking into Starbucks and being told, "We don't think you are right for us... no coffee, please leave?" This is indicative of sellers with a bigger claim as to their their abilities than their abilities in reality. Otherwise on reason to be scared of orders on demand.

  10. Me too and that's great. Look at how sophisticated Google and Grammarly are. Could be leveraged brilliantly.
  11. What about my sneaky AI chat bot idea posted just above? AI writes seller and says, "Hi, are you available to write an article"? Response is "I am too very happy to make writings for you." AI checks fluency level... sees "English - Fluent." Gig halted and under review.
  12. Imagine this. The AI randomly writes to users and asks questions. Simple ones, and then compares the grammar to the level of proficiency claimed in the profile. Also looks for certain red flags like request for off site communication and a bunch more. Respond after 24 hours, dinged. Illiterate, dinged. Marks the gig for human review and maybe eventually the boot if deserved.
  13. This is not just unfair to talented sellers, but especially unfair to talented sellers in those countries that are more economically pressured than others. For example, if you are a truly talented writer and actually fluent in English and are selling from that "certain location", imagine how hard it is to get sales when you are surrounded by crap and spam, even though you are capable.
  14. You know, we are not employees. We are more like stores that rent space in the mall. Fiverr should let sellers dictate terms within reason. For example, I would absolutely have an "all sales are final" policy, and Fiverr should sit in the background, exposing my gig in the algo, handle the transactions, and respect that. CS should not have the power to issue a refund if you are not an employee. Considering that we are not employees, Fiverr makes a lot of decisions about our business model that they really should not be allowed to. Of course, common sense and legalities need to apply.
  15. All good ideas. A subscription might be the way to go. Anything that prevents people from signing up and throwing up 7 gigs which do nothing. Some repeating charge direct from bank, or credit card would stop the goof offs and people who are selling junk on a lark in case they get a sale. Then yes, there needs to be random fraud protection and vetting. Perhaps AI could start performing more of this. I would have no objection to random checks on talent. If Fiverr asked me to prove myself once a year with a 10 minute task, or pay a much higher price to stay active... Lots of good ideas. Just glad they are moving on some.

Target used to be called "Goodfellow's Dry Goods Co." and Amazon was originally called "Relentless." https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/503464/15-companies-changed-their-names I've even offered a solution that allows them to keep the name and save face. They can initiate the $5 per month fee per gig to sell which keeps a lot of the riff raff out, like a cover charge at a club. Plus they can then rebrand as "Fiverr...start your business for just $5." Brilliant if I do say so myself.

  19. I just took a look at your gigs. Over 1,000 sales on an SEO gig at $370. and 20K positive reviews? Good lord you must love the $5 SEO "Expert Digital Marketers" from Scamistan here.

  22. For me it boils down to what @maitasun said, which is that they knew all along it was wrong to steal. Everyone knows that. Now it's all the innocent "babe in the woods" routine. Not buying it, not one parroted word.
  23. Agree. I was commenting more on the fact that they only are focused on getting back on the site. Seems they are sorry they got caught, not sorry that they scammed buyers or stole content. Remember the OP stated that she knew it was a violation, and did not care. then just went into the apology to reclaim her account. And they are all just parroting the same apologies like they parrot everything else in the forum. In another thread someone just said. "I make a mistake, my family depends on me." This bothers me because it is basically the old "Is it wrong for a man to steal a loaf of bread to feed his family?" argument. Of course you are supposed to arrive at the idea that it is justified. Unless you are the shopkeeper. I always felt more sympathy for the shopkeeper who watches one after another steal from him, essentially robbing stealing the shopkeeper's ability to feed his family. The shopkeeper works and loses, while those who would rather steal than work get ahead.
