Full of fake profiles & reused logo models

I requested a logo design and in no time, I started to get offers. Well, what do you know - a received an offer from a cute girl allegedly from the same country where I am from, Finland. So I approached and wanted to see if she even talks Finnish. Yesss, I knew it; received Google translator mumble jumble.

Next I see two profiles and both claims to from the USA, but they can’t even write fluent English - and guess what, two good looking chicks again.

Over half of the ones offering their “logo creation services” had their portfolios full with the same exact logo models what the logo creator online tools have. But hey - guess poor times needs desperate measures.

Applying to fiverr.com should be so transparent that users can pretend to be something that they’re not.

And what’s more frightening, is the creators/authors who actually has a nice designs, but there’s also bunch of drawings that falls to a totally different category. Now how I’m suppose to know which quality work will I receive? If I’d file a complaint about the quality, he/she has a portfolio where lays the quality between shit (like a kid drawings) and topnotch. Should I just roll out and see which one I will receive?

$10-40 isn’t much, but it’s too much if you have any doubts about the quality.

Oh man, I’d love to know how Google translates into the grammar nightmare that is Finnish! WRT to logo services, you need to really check the sellers and also pay a bit more to get original etc. logos. I’d go elsewhere myself, or design your own then get a graphic designer to create it digitally.

Otherwise, this is one of those areas where people with no skill otherwise think stealing or doodling is a-OK. There are good ones, but it’s a needle in a haystack…

I think only checking out the sellers with with good looking “chicks” is part of your problem.
If that is what you are looking for I have heard that there are sites that specialise in that and even put them into categories: teen, Asian, blondes etc and they usually point out which ones are amateurs too so you know the quality you can expect from them.

Why do you want your logo designer to be pretty and female or even from Finland? This is not a dating site. Just get your logo done.

I agree with you . Plus some buyers check Location of the sellers and decided ohh it is from pakistan he or she may be from terror group which is wrong . Check the work decide from the work not from the nationality or authenticity.
