No - I chose not to try it now and wish to wait until the new feature becomes stable. For verification, I had all the factors correct but it did not work for me.
you keep trying with the support they will eventually understand the issue and point you in the right direction.

@warisalijoiya Good.

I am wondering how they opened your account without even sending you an email about that.

I also uploaded the correct files both times but now they say my account is under review and can take up to 60 days.

It has been more than a week now but still my account has not been reviewed yet. With every passing day, my loss and mental stress are increasing. It seems like so many people are having this issue which is taking time to review but let's see when they complete the review of my account.

@Kesha While creating the profession, in both attempts I uploaded valid and high-quality selfie and ID card photos but right after submitting them, your system said they could not verified. It seems like some technical glitch in that the system is not verifying even correct information.

Now my account is restricted and under review. It has been more than a week since my case has been reviewed. This case is not complex as due to some technical error system failed to verify.

Could you please help me to get my account reactivated? I did not violate any TOS. The system could not verify even correct photos and now I am having so much loss as I am not able to earn anything and I have lost my repeat clients too. It is a very stressful situation for me.

@Kesha there are many users who facing this issue , Ai is not working properly and not detect their faces (even one user try with similar hairstyle in both photos) , can you share this issue with your technical department

Same in my case, it is clearly a problem with their verification software and we are losing days without work. It's totally unfair that Fiverr staff don't take these things seriously.

So, is the verification system working now? I've been holding off from entering any profession because it seems a LOT of people had issues with the verification software. Did you guys get your verification issues fixed?

Well, I don't put my face online, and these horror stories about verifications are scary enough to avoid at all costs. I kinda wish there was a way I could stop Fiverr spamming me with the invitation and tell them why I can't participate, though.

I am experiencing the same issue with the verification process. I have tried three times, and it has failed each time. I used my government-issued driver's license for verification, the same ID card I used for the process back in 2021. There's a glitch in the Fiverr verification process. They are using an AI-based verification system that failed to match the image on my ID with my selfie. As a result, my account has been restricted.

Fiverr should refrain from putting restrictions on accounts that have not breached the Terms of Service. Fiverr's Profession is new, and it shouldn't harm anyone's profile due to glitches in their app.

my government-issued driver's license for verification,

Well, a normal ID and not a driver's license should be better, I can only assume that.

I agree. On one side, I do want to enter this feature because I do think it will help with sales. But having no sales due to a random verification problem, that's not something I am fine with.

Yes next time i will try with the normal ID.

Personally, I would recommend that you wait for some time. This feature is new, and the verification process has some glitches. They restricted my account, and I lost an important client today.

I had the same issue.
I was able to recover the account after a long conversation with CS.

So are they completely removing your account from search and Fiverr? Or is it just a notification that you must get verified in 14 days or whatever? Because that's what I see people getting at first.

It might be the case, but it seems that the main issue is hidden somewhere else.

I used my driver's license, and I am 25 kg heavier in the photo, but it caused no issues.

This is just a guess: Payoneer checks GPS coordinates, signs of editing, and other hidden data when you need to pass verification.

So, if you claim to be in Country A, while you are physically in Country B, it can cause issues. I can also guess that being in Country B with documents from Country A can also cause problems.

As I understand, people are not involved in this process, and it's also outsourced, so Fiverr can't do a lot to solve it.

I think you are right with the GPS thing, and I am finishing work for today, then I will try to add the profession. In my case, I am around 15 kg lighter, so just like you, things are quite a bit different when it comes to looks. That being said, I think the new feature is worth the hassle.

I will wait.

I'll take one for the team and try it. Then I will update. I don't think anyone will lose their account. At least I don't see anyone having lost it here. It just took a bit for the situation to clear.

I'm back. So.. I didn't even have to go through any verification. I just had to add portfolio stuff. Thinking about adding a new profession, but I can only assume you can add 2 more down the line, since the max amount for professions is 3.

That's great. I'm still afraid of getting my account lost or something. I believe the issue has been resolved now or something. Thank-you for sharing your experience.

No problem. As I said, this is what happened in my case. Once I added the info for my profession, the Verification thing was already checkmarked, so they didn't ask me for any verification. I can't guarantee it will be the same for you, nor that the verification system was fixed or not. I do want to be a part of this new feature, so yeah, it was either today or tomorrow, because Monday it's already a new month.

There was also no verification for me required.

Does Fiverr correctly understand the definition of the term 'Professionals'?

"Professional" can have two main meanings:

  • As a noun: It refers to someone who does a job that requires a high level of education and training. This typically includes things like doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, and accountants. Doctors, for instance, need to go to medical school and pass multiple exams before they can practice medicine.

  • As an adjective: It describes something that is done in a skilled and competent way, or according to the standards of a particular profession. For example, you might say "a professional athlete" or "a professional approach to the problem." Even if something isn't a traditional profession, you can use "professional" to describe it if it's done with a high level of skill.

I just added a profession and I wasn't even asked for any kind of verification. In fact, I didn't even see something like 'verification' or something while filling the requirements. My profession is shown as 'active'. Is it added? I think it is but I'm not sure.

I think verification was only required for people that were verified years and years ago, I think I was required to verify back in 2020 or so. Regardless, there was a checkmark when it came to verification, I assume it was the case for you. There is a Verification tab, but I assume your situation was the same as mine. Regardless, we'll see how this works and hopefully it will benefit sellers.

In my case i had the partial access. Orders page. Gigs were deactivated.
there was no warning about any particular days

I had to convince CS that issue was with the identity verification system since i had the accurate documents

they allowed me couple of attempts but it didn’t work

after couple of days they informed that the issue with their system is resolved so i tried again and it worked out
