Hey there @filipdevaere! Thanks for your patience as I worked to find an answer for you.

If you’re eligible for a certain profession, it will appear on the drop-down menu unless the profession is already listed on your professions’ page. 

If the profession you are looking for doesn’t appear in the drop-down, check the “Drafts” tab for the profession we already created for you that you can edit and submit. You can also delete it to make the profession available again for selection in the drop-down menu to start the process from scratch.

Please note that the dropdown menu will not display professions you’re not currently eligible for (based on your existing Gigs).

Yes I too have been invited. however, after reading this thread I will probably hold back until the Webinar. Plus its not available to clients until the end of July anyway.

Hi! This must be a glitch (darn Androids, right 🤪 lol) Try refreshing the page and if it continues to not work, please reach out to Customer Support for personalized help.

So, the algorithm isn't even reading/indexing titles and tags of my gigs correctly right now. How is this going to be any different?

it's like a MS Windows update: wait for all of the bugs to be discovered by other people that way you're not impacted, then consider it at a later date. Some of the major bugs haven't even been worked out with the established system, so I don't know if I'd hold my breath.

Hey @visualstudios! Being an agency presents a unique situation, but it is still possible to use the professions feature. Please reach out to CS and they will be able to walk you through how to navigate the identification step as an agency.

At least it looks more like a glitch?

I do realise now that my camera app did take the photos horizontally instead of vertically, so that could be a cause? But if it's happening to more of us... 

I'm going to say it here: if this is a bug, it's close to inexcusable. Yes, it's an easy fix with CS (they were able to help me) but if the first round of verification is just broken, it's just not OK.

I also got mixed signals from the site - on the main page everything was fine,  but if I clicked on the verification link again (before CS got back to me) I was told I'm already restricted....

I'm good now but it definitely scared me a lot.

The process was too quick. It seems like some program did the photo verification, and I think the program failed to match my ID photo with the real-time selfie. I assume it's a glitch. I've opened a support ticket and I'm very worried about this. 😑

I just had the same problem and lost my account but CS are talking robots. 
its real heartbreaking that i lost my 6 year old top rated account. 
Really sad. Has anyone got it fixed?

 I did notice that the app wasn't letting me open the camera the first time so it might just be bugged. 

How did you got the second chance to upload the documents?

I got their reply but they just tike a robot but hope it goes well with your case.

Completely fine. CS (I think) reset the link so I had to go back to professions and just try it again and it went through okay. I made sure to take the photos so that they are right side up (not sure if that's an issue though..)

I've just verified myself, and the issue is with the app. DO NOT VERIFY YOURSELF IN THE APP.

When you open the verification page (it will be shown in Fiverr App), click three dots as recommended above, "Open in Browser", then three dots again, "Open in Chrome." (I use Android). 

It took me 1 minute and a couple of new gray hair 🤣

But I couldn't fall asleep without passing verification or ruining my account 😁

That's so strange- they just reset it for me... Maybe there was something else wrong?

I did it in the browser both times - but the app was broken for me (as in the photo app would never come up) so maybe there's something weird going on in both places...? 

But in the end the second time was okay for me (in my browser) so at least some of us can sleep calmly...

Yeah but i was not given another chance - just lost a TRS account - need to think about my future now.

@Kesha May I suggest two things?

 

1. A complete preview function.

2. A master profile with your main title that branches out into different niches. For instance, I am an audio engineer (that professional description is currently unavailable). Then, we could have different segments that highlight specialties with descriptions and portfolio projects. For instance, sound designer, restoration specialist, music mixing and mastering engineer etc. What is currently available is fine but, perhaps, that would be more convenient.

 

---> Also, I was initially unable to complete the verification process by following the instructions after scanning the QR code. The reason for this is that the camera icon was unresponsive. I had to do what others described and click the 3 dots on the top right and go to "Open in browser".

 

In any case, I managed to add my first profession successfully.

 

Ps. One more thing, the thumbnail that shows in the success score breakdown menu does not work. I see the gig thumbnails for the rest and, this one looks broken.

Hello, after receiving this notification, I came to the authentication section while completing the necessary steps. I took my ID with my camera and uploaded it, then he asked me to take a selfie. After withdrawing that, my account was closed within a second. And now I can't get a response to my emails. Isn't this nonsense?

Hi there! Sorry, this happened. We are currently looking into this issue with the relevant team! I would recommend opening a ticket with Customer Support so they can provide some direct assistance to you.

Hi! Professions are about highlighting who you are as a freelancer, which is why a profile photo that shows your face clearly is a requirement to create a profession, as it builds trust among clients. If your current profile picture doesn’t show your face clearly, you’ll see this step to upload a new photo.
