Can I use 2 Different Fiverr Accounts

jashimahmad

Question

I have two Fiverr account. In one I offer webdev and programing related service and other one I offer design, art and social media related service. I don't want to confuse my clients by showing that I offer Programing and Designing both. Also it feels much organized if I provide this two service on separate account. Should I need to close my one of Fiverr account or I can work on both.

You don't offer anything in your "jashimahmad" account.

How many accounts do you really have?

It depends... Do you want all of your accounts to get restricted, like thousands of accounts from your country got restricted a few days ago?

Can I use 2 Different Fiverr Accounts

It's really easy to find out. Read Fiverr's terms of service, which you accepted when registering your account...s.

You'll find this:

Abuse and Spam

Multiple Accounts - To prevent fraud and abuse, users are limited to one active Fiverr account and one active Fiverr Business account. Any additional account determined to be created to circumvent guidelines, promote competitive advantages, or mislead the Fiverr community will be disabled. Mass account creation may result in disabling of all related accounts. Note: any violations of Fiverr’s Terms of Service and/or our Community Standards is a cause for permanent suspension of all accounts.

If you think you have a valid reason to have both a regular and a Fiverr Business account, and want to pay for a Business account (but that's for buying, not for selling), still don't open a second account without, first, asking support if they agree that you have a valid reason for having a second account. Hint: most likely, they won't. There are sellers who also buy sometimes, and I know that some would like to use different accounts, as in 1 just for selling, and 1 just for buying, and even got a "no" for that. I think that ToS passage isn't for people who sell at all, but for someone, who, for example, works for a company and to open a Fiverr business account for that, and also have a private buyer account for personal Gig ordering, or maybe has their own small business on the side and wants to keep that apart from buying for that company Business account.
Not for people who are mainly sellers but also buy sometimes, and it would make far more sense to "keep things organized and apart" between Selling/Buying than between selling different kinds of services. If that (separate accounts for buying and selling) is already a "no", it would make no sense to allow sellers more than one account for selling.

I do think that ToS passage should be worded a bit simpler, clearer, though, as I can see how it might create misunderstandings or rumours of "2 accounts are okay", and also would cause sellers to wrongly open a Business account, in the misinformed hope of having found a way around the "just 1 account per person" general rule. It should say something like "... limited to one active Fiverr Seller account OR to one active Fiverr Buyer account and one active Fiverr Business Buyer account". It should also define "active", as that's another source of misunderstandings. There seem to be enough people who are already confused about the terms seller and buyer, so, well, but it could be improved.

Have a little trust in your clients, they won't be confused so easily.

Yes, I understand that, but Fiverr as a whole would be far more disorganized if everyone was allowed to have an account for any service they'd like to offer, and many buyers would find it off-putting rather than confusing, if it was permitted.
Either decide on being a specialist for one thing, or offer everything under your one permitted account and live with losing customers who are confused easily, or only want to order from sellers who specialize in one thing. It's what everyone who plays by the rules does.

If you already have 2 accounts, as you say you do (next time you're wondering about whether two accounts are allowed on some site, first ask, then open a second account, or not, depending), you can ask support to close the one that you, a bit too enthusiastically, already opened, before finding out that it's not allowed, and that nothing happened on yet. Good luck.

I offer over 7 different types of gigs (10 total), so I get where you are coming from.

There's actually a lot you can do visually as a designer to differentiate between your services on ONE profile. I just recently redesigned my 10 gig images to address the same issues that you mentioned. I use my gig images to lump my gigs into two tiers of my business (career services and business support) to keep my gig categories more organized for my buyers.

You're lucky that you have design skills because it'll be a lot easier for you to do this. I settled on using headers, but you could also use colors, designs, and different profile pictures to differentiate between your different services.
