  1. We can use Zoom Video option only for Video chat. Don't use other platform for Video chatting, Thanks
  2. Sir i am very new seller as i have joined in last month. Kindly guide me how can i get the orders as i have met all the requirements of Fiverr. Is it some ban or time barred policy that is obstructing my clients and their orders. My response rate is 100% and i am delivering quick replies to clients, getting good impressions and clicks, but haven't received any order yet. Kindly some senior to help me and do partnership with me, please
  3. I'm being honest, I'm trying, but everything seems terribly ridiculous. After the last meeting with my SM, who told me to be very careful with communication, which collects data through AI, I realized that it's impossible for me. Most of my clients are Italian, and they communicate in a very formal way, which is a negative aspect for AI, so the solution would be to respond like a bot and not like a sentient being. Tired and resigned, I will go back to working in some agency, it doesn't make sense to sacrifice so much anymore.
  4. I disagree. If you're genuinely adding value to the charity by volunteering your services, meeting influential people along the way, and branding yourself as a high-end *insert job here*, you're not lying. It's simply your brand, and you're employing perfectly valid techniques to achieve results, including using psychology to influence those around you. This could come in the form of sticking your hand into the snake pit of charity to connect with influential people, or by using creative processes to make your work appear more valuable. If it does, it might even create more value, so even this isn't a lie, it's just optics and how you use them to send a message.
  5. Note: I didn’t expect this to be a long post but I just started typing and here it is… There’s the overarching milestone of replacing my prior FT income with freelancing and now being free to travel/work from where I want to, but the things I’m most proud of are how some of the people I’ve worked with have developed and what they’ve achieved. I know this sounds cheesy but it really makes me happy. To be abundantly clear I am only ever 1% (or less!) of the puzzle that has made them successful, they are the ones who inevitably have to take action and do the hard work to make it happen. Coincidentally I just passed 2000 orders, and all my orders involve meeting with the client so I get to know my buyers quite well, and have therefore got quite a few stories. Maybe I should write a book (that obviously doesn’t break NDA requirements!). These are two of the stories that make me most proud… First one… Had a US buyer that worked in a chicken factory/abattoir. Single mom, 1 bedroom apartment, kids kids, minimum wage. A tough life. Unsurprisingly she wasn’t happy and wanted to do something about it. She wanted to do something around high-quality farming (I think her job was the main driver here!) and we came up with a plan. Short version is she created a site showcasing high quality farms/farming, what their story was etc. She initially listed them for free, built some traffic, and then once she had proven she could send their sites visitors from her own she started charging a monthly listing fee. She then added affiliates for some of the farm's products, ads, and got some sponsorship from some other companies. She’s now working with some chefs who are into using premium/healthy ingredients. 2 years ago she did 50 hour weeks and earned minimum wage doing something she hated for about $1600 a month. Now her business does 5 figures a month, she loves her ‘job’ (she quit the abattoir), her kids each have their own bedroom, and they went to Disney 6 months ago (their first family holiday). This makes me happy, and proud of what she’s achieved. She took action and changed her life. Second one... About 2 years ago a buyer, mid-twenties, high school dropout called me from his car in a Costco car park before he started his shift. His car had actually broken down there. His job was cardboard-crushing. He’d take the empty boxes of products and put them in the crusher. He sent me a video. It’s the type of thing that would be fun for five minutes, then dull as hell. He rented a room in a house that was pretty cheap, but he wasn’t allowed to have a bedroom door. Weird for sure, and unsurprisingly he wasn’t happy. Anyway, he was into fitness, photography, and making films. He had a half-decent video camera that he got for his 16th birthday. We made a plan for him to approach independent gyms and offer to do promo shoots for them. Aside from fuel, his costs were nearly non-existent. After 2 weekends of walking into gyms he had 3 clients/shoots booked. This first month he made $2K. He kept doing it, and each month he’d make a bit more. He quit Costco and built some savings. 6 months later he was in his own apartment (hooray, his own door), his car was fixed, and he had $20K in his business bank account. He then moved to LA a little over a year ago, started networking with other filmmakers, got more opportunities, and also a job in tech sales. His business does around $5K a month (he’s not 100% focused on it and is enjoying making art noir films), and $15K a month from his job. He jokes that he makes more now in a month than he used to in a year. He did this in 2 years, from a broken down car in a Costco car park, to 6 figures a year in LA schmoozing with actors and directors. Hard work pays off. (Both of these individuals have said before they’d be happy for me to tell their stories). I’ve also worked with a lot of other businesses that have grown from nothing to something, or grown from something to something awesome. Some have successfully gone through fundraising rounds, or been acquired which has been pretty cool to see. And some have failed of course. That’s life. If you take anything from these stories let it be that hard work beats talent! You have every chance of achieving your goals, but you have to take action!! Some other random experiences that don’t necessarily make me proud but I wouldn’t have had without Fiverr… A President of an African country (yes it was actually the President, he had his camera on and was in a very comfortable setting to say the least). A US Senator and a Congressman. Several fortune 500 C-Level execs (I was very surprised they were looking on Fiverr when I got started). An 8 year old (or thereabouts) YouTuber with millions of subscribers (his mum was also on the call). A UHNW who just liked chatting about random stuff. He walked me around his superyacht on one call, his garage full of supercars on another call and finally from his plane because he was bored during the flight. He never tipped though 😆 A Sheikh from the UAE. He did tip generously! (So let’s dispel the myth that all Fiverr buyers are cheap, sure lots are budget-conscious, but some have money to burn and are happy to spend it on services). Some Fiverr sellers. Not naming names but I expect some are reading this! That’s not to say all buyers are great, that’s life, I had one person who didn’t know different countries had different timezones. That was a painful experience. How that person survived until their twenties I’ll never know! Or the 16 year old who expected a 100mUSD investment for 2% of their business which was at the idea stage. Yep, there are people like that in the world. Anyway, because of the nature of my work I get to know my clients quite well, I get to know their back story, and also where they end up a lot of the time. You might not have the same visibility of what happens with/to your client, but whether you create logos, make videos, write copy, whatever, you have almost certainly helped someone else achieve their goals or even their dreams. I think that’s pretty cool!
  6. Hello, Please is zoom link allowed on fiverr for online tutorials or can I have any App from Fiverr to hold my Live teaching class?
  7. I have a question: When the delivery time is set to 7 days, why push the seller on day 5? Perhaps they have scheduled to complete it on day 6 or 7. Shouldn't you wait until the agreed period? Moreover, canceling the order can ruin the seller's profile. There are several ways to ensure a seller is the best fit for you before hiring them: 1- Review the seller's profile and gig description to confirm they have the required skills. 2- Check reviews from previous buyers to gauge their experience with the seller. 3- Try finding the seller on social media for additional insight. 4- Avoid always opting for the cheapest sellers. 5- Clearly communicate your requirements and delivery time expectations upfront. 6- Consider having a pre-order Zoom call with the seller to assess their capability. 7- Attempt to resolve any issues directly with the seller first; if unsuccessful, involve Fiverr customer support (bearing in mind their tendency to favor buyers over sellers). I hope its helpful.
  8. Client asked me for available time to do meeting to share screen. I told him that We can't proceed towards meetings until we create an order. Once we create an offer then we'll have access to the zoom meeting. I did right? what should we do if client ask for meeting to make requirements clear before placing an order?
  9. well! communication is a key. fiverr do provide Zoom meeting options on fiverr to do calls with client. normally I see a lot of non technical clients so If we update our client every week and show him the progress even 5% out of 100 our client will definately be satisfied and more over be confident. lastly, before accepting order and drafting milestones for client this is very important to update client what they will get in each one or else you will face a major conflict on final milestone delviery. Open for suggestions. regards
  10. There will be a time in every freelancer’s career when a Buyer is unhappy even if you take all the necessary steps to communicate and provide your best work. These situations are never fun and can be quite difficult to navigate before you’ve developed an effective process for handling order disputes. It's always best to be polite and professional when someone is unreasonable or rude in their criticism of one of your projects. Don't take it personally; most often, the dissatisfaction stems from miscommunication or misunderstanding that you, as a Seller, did your best to avoid. Learning how to handle an unhappy Buyer will help you remain calm and confident while you work to find an ideal outcome. Tips for Handling Unhappy Buyers It's not always easy to handle a dispute with a Buyer, but there are some things you can do to resolve the situation positively. Here are a few tips for handling order disputes: 1. Be willing to apologize An apology for your role in a Buyer’s dissatisfaction will go a long way. Be empathetic and assure them that you understand how frustrating this must be. Let the Buyer know that you are sorry for not meeting expectations and that you want to work with them to find a resolution. 2. Listen closely to what the Buyer says Hearing negative feedback can be tough, but it’s absolutely necessary when revising an order submission! If a Buyer expresses that they are unhappy, politely ask them if they can provide specific feedback about what they don’t like. If you don’t understand or agree with their points, try to avoid getting defensive. Instead, ask for clarification and let them know that you genuinely want to understand their needs. If they continue to provide unclear feedback, you might ask them to provide an example. 3. Avoid an argument It might be tempting to defend yourself or get angry, but engaging on the same level as a negative Buyer may cause the dispute to escalate. Focus on hearing their feedback and adjusting your submission instead of providing all the reasons you did not meet their expectations. You might say something along the lines of, “Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I will do X, Y, and Z to make this better,” and let them know when they can expect a revision. 4. Contact Customer Support If a Buyer is being particularly uncooperative and refusing to provide feedback, Customer Support can act as a mediator to help diffuse the situation. It is important to remember that Support cannot force a Buyer to accept an order - they are a neutral party to help you and the Buyer come to an agreement. Some Buyers are likely to be harder to please than others, but even the most demanding Buyer deserves to be treated respectfully and professionally. Apply their feedback to the next submission and know when to involve Customer Support. If the only option is to cancel an order, you can do so knowing that you gave it your best effort.
  11. Clients with bigger budgets do tend to be a lot easier to work with, especially if they're not spending their money but their business' money. So long as the work is competent (or exceptional), there's little reason for value for money to be marked down. Putting prices up also discourages personal project people from considering you. I have nothing against them or their projects, but typically they will be emotionally invested in their project, not especially good at working with freelancers, and have very skewered expectations as a combination of those two factors. Effective communication is another one. I see a lot of advice that the way to improve this is more communication (especially on Reddit). I remember one person recommending daily updates with Zoom video meetings to ensure "everyone was on the same page". In theory, yeah, that sounds effective, Until you remember that people are busy, and that there are better, briefer ways to communicate daily updates that respect people's time. I also see advice that you should "wait" to deliver from so-called experts, all of whom are seemingly blissfully unaware that the SS rewards faster deliveries (and by extension, more realistic delivery times; if people want to manipulate that metric, that's how you do it. Of course, you can only manipulate it so much before your stated time becomes unattractive...) Ultimately, I think the SS is game-able. Just not in the way that the people who like to game things usually game them. I must say, I find it amusing that people are pausing gigs to "improve their score". I do not think that is a smart move, because the system needs data points: I don't know if the SS metrics expire, but we'll find out pretty soon.
  12. If I understood correctly, you are providing teaching services on Fiverr ? and want to use ZOOM for classes ? Zoom is officially supported. Use "Video Call" button on order page. It creates zoom meeting which is recorded and saved.
  13. I am a new seller in Fiverr and I got a knock from a buyer (probably new buyer) and buyer wants to discuss the project in a zoom call. But in the inbox I am not getting the zoom video call option. So, what can be the possible solution? How can I get the zoom video call option in the fiverr inbox?
  14. Used them once. Buyer cancelled after second order as was too restrictive. I keep them just to fob off the "plenty of work for you in the future" crowd when they're acting like a walking red flag. When I was in TLV many moons ago with another seller, we were in a product meeting and were asked to describe features we wanted. Oddly enough, we both prioritized subscriptions and gave detailed information on how it could best work. I don't know the other seller's opinion of the mess that eventually came out (I think 2-3 years later), but it was plain as day that for all the talking, the only word they had listened to was "subscription". I don't remember much of what we said, but I do know that one of our concerns was flexibility. I believe all other sellers who have had extended chats with Fiverr staff in panels etc have a similar experience: ultimately, their voices are not heard and the feature that later comes out is some sort of abomination from someone completely disconnected with the reality of how the marketplace will use it. I guess that's just corporate efficiency for you. Never mind. They have ChatGPT now, and that has great ideas. Indeed, I made a topic about it yesterday that may or may not have been approved. Probably because it was pretty clear that staff had already cadged and worsened a few ideas from it and left the good ones to rot...
  15. Hello too. Not allowed. Only Zoom is allowed if you have its access via Chat Box or Order Page. 17. You can use Zoom - https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011062838-Video-calls-Zoom-calls
  18. Now sellers who rely on ChatGPT to communicate for them can also use the magic of artificial everything to do Zoom calls on Fiverr. I won't be naming the software here (do your own darn legwork!), but it is rather impressive. AI video has been capable for a while now of making it look like you're "always looking at the camera", which is very useful for when AI interview software is listening to difficult questions and feeding you answers. AI photography can work from, let's say 30 headshots, in your phone gallery to create a "you" (and of course make you look nice instead of the terrifyingly ugly mess you actually are). It can then turn that gorgeous headshot into a talking video, complete with hand movements, nods, and other slightly repetitive natural gestures! If not in real time, then soon. Oh, and it'll also clone your voice. What's that, the interview's in another language like say, English? No problem. You don't actually know anything about the job or what you do because AI has reduced your brain to the size of a raisin and all you know how to do is write prompts? No problem. Feed the AI with knowledge and sound smart. === That's just a few of the things this did. Is it any good? I have no idea, but even if it isn't that good now, it will be a lot better soon and close to perfect later on. What I will say is that the demo looked really impressive. The guy was gurning and thumbs-upsing for a TikTok video as the interview continued in the background. Anyway, I know quite a few people use Zoom calls to establish their humanity and realness and knowledge - but that advantage is rapidly disappearing. Side-note: this kind of technology is almost certainly going to start being used by scammers in the near future. Be careful, children, and remember Fiverr has no AI disclosure policies. Quick question for Fvierr Staff, on the off-chance that anyone reads this on the single day of the week that is the weekend in TLV and the West: What measures is Fiverr taking to prevent this kind of technology from being used in its on-platform Zoom calls? I ask, because it's very clear that many sellers and buyers are not as AI-aware as they could be, leaving them vulnerable - and many users already fall victim to less sophisticated scams. As a platform, you do have some duty of care here. In brighter news, it looks like regulations will soon mandate the watermarking of generative AI-created stuff, which should help actual detection rates increase a lot. Bad news for the people who are building entire businesses around their ability to "write" and "draw" and whatever else when their actual ability is that of a sprouting potato.
  19. On Fiverr, several website development and design services tend to sell well. Here are some popular ones: WordPress Development: Offering services like WordPress theme customization, plugin installation, and website setup. Custom Website Design: Providing custom website design services tailored to clients' specific needs and preferences. E-commerce Website Development: Creating online stores using platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento. Responsive Web Design: Designing websites that are optimized for various devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones. SEO Optimization: Offering services to optimize websites for search engines, including keyword research, on-page SEO, and SEO audits. Graphic Design Services: Providing services like logo design, banner design, and other visual assets for websites. UI/UX Design: Creating user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for websites and web applications. Website Speed Optimization: Improving website performance by optimizing loading times, image compression, and code optimization. Website Migration: Helping clients transfer their websites from one platform to another or from one hosting provider to another. Bug Fixing and Troubleshooting: Offering services to identify and fix issues on existing websites, such as broken links, layout problems, or functionality issues. These are just a few examples, but the key is to offer services that align with your skills and expertise while also meeting the demands of potential clients on the platform. Providing high-quality work, excellent communication, and timely delivery will also contribute to your success on Fiverr.
  20. Hi, Can we share zoom link in fiverr for tutoring purposes?
  21. Would you mind to share your experience on how to get real clients here? I've posted 2 gigs. One is for Indonesian language or Mandarin Chinese teaching/tutoring, and another one for Indonesian language or Mandarin Chinese translation. The teaching/tutoring gigs get a response from someone who asked for a zoom meeting for an Q&A session before buying the package. What happened during the initial zoom meeting was; He showed me his private part without even showing his face. Some people contacted me for the translation gigs, but always told me to contact someone through telegram, in which I doubt if those jobs were even real, as how we know that scammers usually are using such kind of tricks. So please share your previous experiences which made you get your jobs from here so that newbies like me can learn from you. Thank you.
  22. Can I use Loom, Zoom or Google Meet to join a live conversation on Fiverr with my client?
  23. Your seller profile was not approved. Check your email for more details. I was caught by surprise by Fiverr's decision to not approve my seller profile. First a notification under the “bell” icon saying: Your seller profile was not approved. Check your email for more details. More details you said? check the “more details” on the bottom With over 22 years of professional experience in my field and an earning capacity over $100k USD per year as contractor, I firmly believed that I have the qualifications and expertise to offer high-quality, trustworthy services on their platform. After spending several hours filling my profile at fiverr.com with all their form fields. and getting stuck at things like "keywords" that should be "key phrases" without mention that they must have 3 words and 18 characters (20 including spaces!) I spent additional hours spanned through a whole week designing a package or “gig” with the experience and the stuff they asked me to fill. did I mentioned the payment and tax verifications ? I have kept my account for some weeks more to starting again, and earn some bucks here, but as far I know the “Your seller profile was not approved” means “you’re banned forever”, that should be the treat for a fraudster, not for a serious professional. Thinking about Fiverr's right logic to curate their marketplace, it’s a right and a duty, so my opinion is just a drop of water in the sea. The blanket rejection without providing specific reasons feels dismissive of my credentials and capabilities. As a seasoned professional, I find it disheartening to be denied the opportunity to showcase my skills and services on a reputable platform like Fiverr. I would appreciate more transparency from Fiverr regarding their evaluation criteria and decision-making process. Outright rejections with vague explanations such as "not meeting the demand for high-quality services from trustworthy freelancers" seem unconvincing and fail to acknowledge the merits of experienced professionals like myself. (and many reading) I remain committed to finding suitable avenues to offer my services and will continue exploring alternative platforms or independent channels to connect with clients who value my expertise and experience. By now I will close this chapter being fiveRr one of the worst work rejections I have had, not because of the language, but because of the vague arguments exposed Best wishes with your “high-quality, trustworthy services”. We cannot approve your seller profile Hi user_name, We appreciate your interest in becoming a freelancer on Fiverr. To meet the growing demand for high-quality services from trustworthy freelancers, we have carefully considered your profile and service. Unfortunately, we cannot approve your seller profile at this time. Thanks, The Fiverr Team
  24. I posted a zoom link an online class with my student yesterday and I don't want it to have an effect on my profile.Thank you
  25. I was coordinating with a client of mine for a meeting that was supposed to be at 11 AM their time (In the UK). I messaged them at 11 AM their time when it said Local time: Apr 15, 2024, 11:00 AM on my client's inbox page (Right below where it says the username of the client in a chat). My client did not arrive for a meeting, so I told them that we could postpone it. One hour later, my client arrived and told me that it is currently 11 AM at their place, and now, the Fiverr website is saying "Local time: Apr 15, 2024, 12:00 PM". I looked up if the UK (England in this case) has multiple time zones, and that's where I learned about something called British Summer Time (BST). During summers, the time in the UK is 1 hour ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) timezone. However, this does not reflect on the FIverr chats. It seems that it always displays time in GMT in regards to people based in England. Suggestion: Fiverr should implement a more accurate timezone detection system and make sure that the time shown is accurate with the season of the year and the locale. Technical nitty-gritty and suggestions: Additionally, as a programmer, I suggest that they retrieve the user's time from the client-side. I.e., use the frontend JavaScript to simply generate the current time and stream it to the server. What I think they are doing currently is that they get the IP address of the client on the server side, using some in-house or third-party solution to detect a timezone for it and then they return an initial time to the clients. Or on second thought, they most likely just get the timezone at sign-up and keep it that until the user changes it explicitly, which would be even worse and defeat the whole point of showing the user's timezone to others in chat. If either of these are truly the case, then it seems like re-inventing the wheel for no apparent reason and it looks to be prone to bugs. On the other hand, client-side JavaScript by default gets an accurate time directly from the machine of the client with just one line of code. One concern with the suggested approach would be that the user might try (I can't see why, but let's just say they might) to fake their timezone as they have control over the client side, but... they can already do that by using a proxy or VPN and sending the request from a different IP. If the reason for not going with this approach is this concern, then I don't see how this can be avoided even with the current system. Looking forward to the Fiverr team doing something about this and ideas/thoughts from the Fiverr community. Kind regards. Sannan.
