  1. ....a buyer's communication is absolutely...well...garbage. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Is there any way that I could sack a buyer without hurting my OCR or any of my ratings? I provide web design, a client 'out of the blue" (while we were exchanging messages about getting assets together and what things he wanted) bought one of my related gigs. The gig is due by Tuesday evening - it's now Saturday evening, there is no way it's going to be finished on time. It's only a homepage, pricing, registration and thank ypu page as well! I'm asking simple questions of them about what they want and supplying helpful images to make referencing elements/sections on the page easy and to make sure we're both talking about the same thing.. Instead of an answer related to the question, I'm just getting irrelevant, random 'musings' about fonts and colors. I run a niche web design agency away from Fiverr and it's easy to help keep clients focused. On Fiverr, I've run into this a few times, but I've quickly learned, it's all about your ratings as a seller and upsetting buyers is not a good idea! So really, in this case, is it possible to sack the buyer and not harm my ratings? Thanks to anybody, who can help! Tom
  2. Many times I hesitate to ask from my clients for more work. I will really appreciate if someone can guide me on how to ask for more work from the same client or simply how should I improve my upselling skills on Fiverr. Many thanks in advance.
  3. Can fiverr restrict your messages to a particular buyer? this is my second time work with a buyer . they were happy with the work I submitted ,hence gave me a tip. but when I send message there are no replies from the buyer. I am afraid if my message delivered to them. i thanked them for the tip and said hoping to work again soon. is it possible fiverr restricted these messages?
  4. Something I feel is important for all sellers is to take time and understand your buyers needs. As a buyer they want to have confidence in their sellers. They want to feel like you know exactly what they want. If they feel like this, they are more likely to place an order with you. This is super important when you are replying to buyer requests. Don't just send a generic offer request, this is almost pointless. Take the time to read their requirements and tailor the offer specifically to them. Use their name, quote some of the requirements mentioned in their request. Hopefully this helps some of you out! Happy selling!
  5. I would like to send my client to Questionnaire(google Docs form), which includes some questions that I have prepared. May I send it?
  6. Hi there. I am new to this forum. I'm looking for an opinion on how to get the first order on Fiverr. Experts opinions are highly appreciated. This is my Fiverr gig link: https://www.fiverr.com/wordsmith_arshi/write-amazing-seo-article-on-entrepreneurship-communication-leadership
  7. When trying to send messages to a customer from the phone app as soon as I exit the chat the messages disappear and if I try to open it from the pc it says "Something went wrong. Try refreshing the page"
  8. Hello! When a buyer/client comes in the inbox after sending a buyer request, how to convince the buyer to buy your service. Also, How can I assure him that my service is perfect for him? And which words should use to welcome the client?
  9. Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am starting to think that maybe the customer service in my account is not too good. How do you react and respond when a buyer contacts you about a project he has? As for me, I always answer their question in a timely and professional manner. But, I don't rush saying "Can I send the offer?" first because I don't like pressuring people. Is it bad if I wait for them to ask even if we already discussed the project and agree on a price? How is your customer service? Are you warm with them? Once someone told me I like to argue and fight just because his work wanted WhatsApp communication, and I did not want external communication. At this time I did not know Fiverr could allow this if it was mandatory for the work and the order was placed.
  10. This is a follow-up to my previous post about the legality of using the said app. Now the problem here is either I decline the person (by telling them that it's against the TOS), or they decline me because I (still as of now) does not have the app yet. To be honest with you all, I have never heard or known WhatsApp before I joined Fiverr. I only knew when my first chat came and then I have to look it up. Why not with something more popular platform instead like Facebook Messenger? It's more common. I have never met anyone before with WhatsApp except for those people. I wonder what's in WhatsApp specifically and it's kinda suspicious that that uncommon platform is the one widely chosen by people here. So, since nothing gets done because of this, I can't earn anything. It sucks that the reason why I'm not earning is not because of skills, but because of the lack of communication. I mean, I did the work. I reached people via buyer requests, they respond to me back, meaning, it worked. Yes, my gigs could use some more improvement, but what matters is that my gig appealed to them. They wouldn't go "Hey, contact me on whatsapp" if they don't feel like my gig contents are good. The problem is that, everyone (aside from the scam person, if you've seen that post of mine) is wanting to communicate on WhatsApp. I could have been earning already if it was only allowed to talk via WhatsApp. This is frustrating. What should I do? I couldn't redirect them to Facebook Messenger either because it's still against the TOS.
  11. TL;DR in bold Hello, I have been turned down twice already because the people that I send offers on buyer requests want me to talk to them via WhatsApp. Yes, that's a sign that I have to install and make an account in the said social media platform. But I'm curious, what's stopping them from chatting? One can attach files and type text. What does WhatsApp have that the messaging service of Fiverr doesn't have? I know that people judge gigs, and if the gig is low rated, people might not consider it? But how am I supposed to get rated if I don't get orders?
