  1. Sellers need to have the ability to block abusive buyers. Blocking an abusive buyer was our only form of protection and painless way to avoid unwanted experiences. Please reconsider your decision to remove this essential option.
  2. Hi @geckotechgpt, please read our Terms of Service, you'll see that our Customer Support team never contacts you via chat. You'll also find info on how to proceed with scammers like this one, so that the team can block them from the platform. If you need any additional reading material on how to become successful, feel free to let me know and I'll provide you with some reading material. Thanks for understanding and good luck 🍀
  3. I agree - I think the only way to block someone is if they've messaged you. If they haven't messaged you, I don't think it's possible. Big thumbs up from me!
  4. Forum staff doesn't decide, the support team does. They gave you an answer about feedback boosting, and you need to wait for their decision. Unfortunately, I believe that your restriction will lead to a block.
  5. Hey, I wonder what exactly happens when I block a user/buyer. Does the buyer still see my content any longer and just isn't able to contact me or will the buyer be blocked from seeing all my published gigs? Would be great to know what exactly happens. Thanks in advance!
  6. I had a bad experience with a buyer, she accepted my cancellation, but I fear she might order my gig again in the future and I don't want that. In the past, I would click on the name and just block them. This time it's not working. Anyone else knows what's going on? Can you click on a customer's name, and see if you get the blocking option? I hope this is a temporary glitch.
  7. Hi @nazah_hussain, sorry about any unpleasant experience you may have had with Fiverr users. Please report and block anyone who violates our Terms of Service in any way. Our team will take over and block them from the platform. Thanks in advance and good luck 🍀
  8. Hi Dave, many of us do receive such and the best way of dealing it to simply report them. fiverr don't allow outside communication or any handling to make a fair platform for everyone to help and share. It also protect you and your work to work on the fiverr rather to communicate outside. I suggest you to block or report those users and if matter continuous just drop a ticket on fiverr support to resolve the matter. I hope this will help.
  9. If you already talked with a person in the inbox, you can mark them as Spam and that will block them. It also stops them from ordering too.
  10. The problem is that many sellers, like me, always have the problem that buyers don't respond within the order time. If you extend this for the customer, it will be seen as a massive minus in the rating system. That's why so many people are stuck with Success Score 4 even though they are 99% positive with 4.9 stars.... Fiverr needs to correct that. This is unfair as this is a permanent block to receiving orders. I can't even activate the promotion gig... These are features where Fiverr makes money. I have absolutely 0 understanding of it
  11. It is better to block them without replying to their fake messages or to complain about them to Fiber Support because it is strictly prohibited to give any personal information directly to Fiverr.
  12. It's a scammer, not a legitimate buyer. Anyone can place an order on Fiverr without knowing the freelancer's email address. Not to mention that sharing personal contact information is strictly forbidden. Tell them that you can't help them (or something like that; it's important to reply so your response rate doesn't suffer), then report them and block them.
  13. I agree that Fiverr should block all users from using "Fiverr" on their profile names, as well as the fiverr logo for their profile pictures. Obviously. However, the user I replied to was implying that Fiverr does not keep user's personal information safe, and that's not true. Fiverr does not share or disclose any user information other than the information the user chooses to show (such as profile name, profile picture, etc.), so their assertion is incorrect. Fiverr should definitely institute better systems to control scammers, but that's very different from saying "Fiverr doesn't keep your personal information safe". That's not up to Fiverr (unless the platform itself shares that data, which is not the case), that's always up to you. Now, it's true that many internet users have no clue what they're doing, but then maybe they shouldn't be on the internet. You need a driver's license to drive a car. Maybe it's time to start requiring a license to use the internet. The amount of people falling for the most obvious scams is insane. It's not a security problem - it's a literacy / education problem. Fiverr can't fix that.
  14. As people mentioned you can still block by using the smartphone app. Go into the full profile of a user and "Block User" there.
  15. You can still block buyers using the smartphone app. Just click on a username and "See Full Profile". There you will find the option to "Block User".
  16. if you look at what is being sent they are sending it as an image and telling people to take a screenshot and then scan the QR code. Look at the messages above, you can see this. There is nothing for Fiverr to scan. The only thing Fiverr should do is block every variation on Fiverr as a username
  17. by not doing more to block people putting their display name as "Fiverr Support" (when it's happened again today (edit: or maybe 3 days ago, which is still a long time after someone else reported the same display name being used for a scam), when it's already been stated to them that the fraudsters are putting their display name as that), attaching Fiverr logos to their messages and asking new users to "click on" (or scan) QR codes they're not doing the best they can to avoid people getting contacted scammers trying to take their info, and they're not really educating people enough about this in case their systems can't detect those users. Fiver already scans links, surely an added check could be made to see if it's a url that starts with "fiverr." but goes to a totally different site than Fiverr (which is probably a scam site so Fiverr's system could flag the message and not show it to other Fiverr users unless checked and accepted by the trust & safety team).
  18. 19. Hi, The official help says it's in the user profile, but I spent an hour there is no block option anywhere. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.
  20. Your account is restricted to block. It will lead to block/ban (permanent), it is just that you have 90 day period (77 days remaining in your case) to finish ongoing orders and withdraw money. There are minor penalties, like warnings. In your case, with clone accounts, it usually leads either to block or to de-ranking to a new seller, not participating in levels anymore and barely being seen in search results. Unfortunatelly your penalty is block after 90 day period, as mentioned above. The customer support probably won't answer to your multiple messages.
  21. Hello, my name is Kaue, I'm an image retoucher, I've only been on Fiverr for a short time, but I've been putting together a portfolio for a long time and thinking about how I'm going to set up my gigs until then that I decided to do it and go deep into getting jobs here. I don't know, I have the impression that it was good here at one time or only those with a good reputation get good buyers, have any of you noticed this? Even so, I decided to continue I received my first message, wow!!! a boom of joy, until I read the message and it was something like - wow, your gig is everything we need, we were looking for someone like you, please contact me on this - social network - "Mr. Spam" A bucket of cold water, ok, I reported it and block In the middle of the night I woke up Mr. Spam 2 now, I reported it and block, and so I believe that up to the 12th user, sometimes they changed the way they wrote, giving space in the name "s o c i a l M e d i a" sometimes they sent a photo with the name of the network profile written in the worst handwriting, and so it was. Today I received a new one from a user @ anything that I tapped on the keyboard, with the Fiverr profile logo, saying that my account was suspended and that I would have to send him my email to do a simple verification. Hahahaha.. on the one hand it's funny, but on the other hand the real reason for being here is completely obsolete, partly because of spam and partly because Fiverr doesn't have many criteria for those who create a new group and become co-participants in this spam. I believe I should stay a little longer, maybe I'll see the part of the work that I really want. Thank you and good work everyone!
  22. Hey I just noticed I can't find the option to block a buyer anymore, can't we do that anymore? For example, someone placed an order, provided no info and when I asked for information, he canceled the order saying he already took care of it => my stats get affected => I don't want this buyer to be able to order from me again because I had a "previous negative experience"... I don't see this option anymore. thx!
  23. You were approached by a scammer who was pretending to be a Staff Member of Fiverr. Fiverr never approaches you through inbox and asks for personal details, especially credit card details. Here are some steps you can take: - Refrain from entering any personal information or credit card information. - Block the user (it's just a normal user who is pretending to be Fiverr support). - Report the profile to Fiverr so they can ban that fake profile. Also the website you're visiting is "fiverr.id487514.com". Please note that "fiverr" is just a sub-domain and anyone can have it (or literally any random keyword) on their primary domain. The real domain here is "id487514.com" and this domain is not affiliated with Fiverr in any way.
  24. Nothing to understand, other than that it's a phishing scam. It's not Fiverr sending you the message, it's scammers who want to steal money from your bank account. Report the message and block the user. @Lena, is there any word from the higher-ups about this scam? As in, when will Fiverr get rid of them (for example, by not allowing anyone to put "Fiverr Support" as their name (even better, by permanently banning anyone and everyone who attempts to do such a thing))? 🙂
