  1. Oh I see! hmm, did you change your gigs or edit them just before this happened? Have your impressions gone down. Let’s see what else could be the cause. More cancelled orders? Maybe it’s time to make a new gig and see how it does?
  2. Working on fiverr and building up a business is slow going for most of us sellers. It takes years of work before you get an income you can count on. Do not expect lots of income in the first one year to four years. Keep improving and expect it to take a long time.
  3. I’m surprised your gigs didn’t rise in the ranks with stats like those.
  4. No one should be shown as active 24 hours a day. It does no good. There is no point in that. Be shown as online only when you are online.
  5. Do not ask your customers for a review at all or mention one. That blog is incorrect or outdated.
  6. Of course they do. … why wouldn’t they? It’s obvious. That’s why they do it, to remind you. To let you know that they watch you.
  7. It’s not that. Many or most businesses don’t want to have their customers taken away from them.
  8. My suggestion is to tell them something else. Don’t mention having an outside business.
  9. Why do you tell buyers that? What would stop people who contact you on fiverr from going directly to your business?
  10. All of these are meant to keep sellers from trying to get paid some other way than through fiverr. So telling them you work in some other place might suggest to a buyer to hire you someplace else.
  11. Never say you work someplace else. That’s a big one. I think the phrase “outside of fiverr” might be one.
  12. I used one today when I told a buyer to contact me in my inbox instead of on the order page. I got the red sign that I shouldn’t give my contact details. I changed the word “contact” to “message”. contact pay paypal money email those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I think ■■■■■ might be one too. That one must be really highly forbidden since it doesn’t even show up here. It’s that well used message system that starts with an “S”.
  13. There is a button to turn on or off for packages in the upper right corner when you are editing your gig, in the description area.
  14. @salehayat Who knows? It’s not a big deal. People get blocked and then they can find someone else. It’s not like there is just one seller on fiverr. Don’t spend time worrying about why someone blocked you. Just find someone else. We do not know what was said in this case. We do not have a way of knowing what went on in this person’s mind. It’s pointless to try to wonder why he decided to block him. It’s a waste of time.
  15. If you placed an order and now see that banner you should contact customer support and see if you can get a refund. I’m not sure why a seller would go on vacation mode with a live order waiting for him to complete it. Of course it’s possible he will complete your order but isn’t taking new orders.
  16. This is interesting actually. If you have all 5 stars all the time, and you get 1 less then 5 stars, shouldn’t overall rating for evaluation be 5 stars? At least it should work like that, but sometimes it doesn’t. Before I got 4 star review and my rating dropped to 4.9 Maybe they take off the worst review or overlook it at the levels day? I might ask customer support.
  17. Suppose your 60-day rating is 4.7, and you deliver that order, he gives you 1 star, even 3 stars will make your rating drop to 4.6. Then you get demoted and your orders fall by 50%, maybe more. How will you feel then? The old Fiverr was better. My order completion rate was 87% and I was making $1,500 to $2,000 a month. Then came the level system, and I lost everything. I’m sure there are a lot in the same boat. I thought they said the worst review wouldn’t be counted in your total for each 60 day period. Do they still do that?
  18. It becomes 100 times riskier for sellers who give unlimited revisions. It all comes down to how well you do your job and how well you communicate, and how often you are targeted by buyers who cause problems, which is affected by your prices. Be smart about your business.
  19. I disagree that the seller is unprotected. The secret is to send a short message with screenshots to customer support in a very professional way if you have done everything right and nothing wrong. Be very professional, very brief, very unemotional and explain with screenshots what is going on if there is a problem and they might help you and you will not get penalized in any way. While this may not always be correct, it does happen that customer support will help you.
  20. No, most definitely not. 100% untrue in every possible way. You do not have to cancel an order if a buyer asks you to – and certainly not after the order has been completed. This is why Fiverr allows the seller to accept or deny a cancellation request. If the seller didn’t have a choice, Fiverr wouldn’t allow them to choose. So you’ll get a negative review. It happens. Learn to accept it and move on. I agree with jonbaas. Just accept a negative review. It’s not the end. Or if you cannot do that cancel the order. Either way it’s what you have to do to work on fiverr. It shouldn’t happen too often.
  21. I wouldn’t wait longer than about 12 hours once someone asks for a revision without hearing from them. I would deliver it again as is. They know they asked for a revision and they know you are waiting on them. If they are this inconsiderate I don’t appreciate it and simply give them 12 hours, which is reasonable, then redeliver the same thing. I would also send a short note that since they didn’t tell me what revision was needed I had to deliver the same thing. Tell them if they want a revision it needs to have instructions with it at the time they request the revision. Otherwise you have no way of doing it.
  22. No way to tell why he did that. Be glad he showed his true “colors” before you hired him. I love the block feature when someone is bothering me. I wouldn’t do it for the reason you mentioned but it’s very nice to stop people from messaging me. I’m sure it feels like unfair rejection when it happens to you when you didn’t do anything wrong but there are other sellers you can message.
  23. That is not racism. Advertisers have target audiences in mind they want to appeal to. As long as nothing negative was mentioned, simply describing a certain type he wants in his video is in no way racist. Whether he wanted a specific gender, ethnicity, age group, whatever, that is perfectly ok in advertising. I have experience in advertising and wanting specific types of people is what is normal in ads. What if he said he wanted only seniors (elderly) in his video? What if he said he only wanted men in his video? What if he said he only wanted Hispanics in his video? Would these have triggered you the same way? All of these are ok, as well as saying he wanted black people in the video. Describing various types this way is called “demographics” and it is all about what advertising looks at, as a target audience.
