  1. Hello friends, that makes sense, thanks. Good to see you here again! I have another thread here btw:
  2. I've been a successful seller on fiverr for over eleven years and have had a good number of repeat clients coming back -- without any suggestions from me they do so I may add -- of around 60%. I was a Top Rated Seller for over six years. I'm now a level one seller. I can't complain. I've done good work here and am proud of my record. I've put in seven days a week and taken off only about three or four times in all these years. Although my sales volume has drastically gone down as a level one seller I intend to continue to provide the level of service to my clients that I always have with very fast and thorough communications and order deliveries.
  3. I see now on gigs that older reviews are shown first and reviews are not in chronological order. Also the highlighted reviews which we could select, to display our best ones under our gig image, are gone. There used to be the option buyers had to click on newer reviews being shown in order of when they were left. Buyers don't get an accurate idea of when the most recent orders were if they see reviews from previous months first. Any explanations for this, or comments on this change, are appreciated.
  4. I'm happy with it so far. Keep it coming fiverr!
  5. The promoted gigs formula has shifted the algorithm it seems. As your meme so correctly shows, it can be a wild ride.
  6. Minors work, pay taxes, and have social security numbers.
  7. If you are a US person check Yes. Then fill out the very short form. It asks for your name address and social security number and if you will file your taxes as an individual or a corporation.
  8. I had a job at 15 and was able to pay taxes. It’s not only for over 18.
  9. All you have to do is fill out the W9 form. You can do that. It asks if you are a US person. It doesn’t ask your age.
  10. Probably true… however I am in the same situation sometimes when I am at a hotel for instance in a foreign country but I never connect on their wifi or anything like that … for extra safety I prefer to buy a local sim card … Using a wifi connection from a hotel or anywhere else is probably ok ( I don’t know for sure ) but I wouldn’t risk it , I’m obsessed with my account. It’s risky I agree. I will need to find out how to make it more secure. I don’t trust VPN’s either.
  11. I didn’t get any emails. I filled out the form and it said done.
  12. Sorry but I don’t know what you are talking about. What will show when it’s time to show? This seems to be a random comment you directed at me.
  13. If you are in Bangladesh or Pakistan select No. That’s all you need to do. No other steps are needed.
  14. It sounds like something to ask customer support.
  15. To anyone else who is asking what to do, if you are not a US citizen then select No. That is all you need to do.
  16. Maybe they don’t understand what this is for or why they are being asked if they are a U.S. person or not.
  17. I don’t know but it is. That’s why I said they should ask customer support. One person got the answer from them but was still confused.
  18. It says on the first page of the form are you a US person or not. That seems to be the beginning of the confusion. We have people asking how to answer that.
  19. But I have earned barely $200-300 and completed under 10 orders, so should I be receiving this? Also I checked and fiverr says that anyone above 13 can become a seller. Please correct me if I’m wrong. What do you need help with? It is correct you are a individual. Put your name address and social security number. You do need to fill it out per fiverr rules, but won’t need to pay any taxes since you will not have made over $600.
  20. You can send customer support that question on the same ticket as your other one. Anyone who is still confused about this should probably ask customer support. They can explain it better. We have a long thread now about this with people still asking what they should do so it’s obvious we are not doing a good job of explaining it.
  21. Are you sure? I understood it to say all US citizens must have a completed W9, but unless we make at $20,000 and complete at least 200 orders in 2020, Fiverr will not be sending out a 1099 form. You are probably right.
  22. Will you be earning at least $20,000 in 2020? And completed at least 200 orders? If not you will not need to fill out a W-9. The tax season is considered a calendar year. We did not have a tax season that just ended. It will end at the end of 2020. You might have meant the tax filing deadline, which was for 2019 and ended in April, although I think this year it was extended past that date. If you will have earned at least $600 in 2020 you will still need to pay taxes but won’t be getting a 1099 from fiverr showing your earnings apparently.
  23. This seems to be very confusing. How hard is it to figure out if you are a U.S. citizen or not?
  24. Hi you don’t need a tax professional for your first question. It is what you earned meaning what you withdraw. That is your income. Since I always withdraw my earnings to Paypal I use their statements. Nothing else is needed. I simply copy their statements of yearly earnings to give to my tax accountant.
