  1. It is not cystal clear. You can't power up your electric cars without the fossil fuels stations. PERIOD! End of story. You keep going around and around. You are asking me if organic farming is usually cheaper than the chemical one? Go check the grocery stores. Do some research! It takes more people to produce organic food, than chemical food. One person can spray a whole 1000 acres or more and you are getting it done every day. So breathe that in. Or do you suggest that we go organic and hey who cares about whether people can afford it. Let them starve, right? Chemical spraying of fields started in 1944. So it has been around only for approximately 78 years. Spraying has gone to flying airplanes over your homes and you bring it in with you air conditioner. We have had more and more cases of cancer since this started and more cases of Parkinsons Disease. People spray their homes with chemicals to get rid of bugs. Start complaining about these uses as a big problem. You get rid of coal completely and you are in big trouble. Anyone that looks at what coal does for any country and you will find out. I grew up around the coal mines. I have never had a problem breathing. I have had family that got Neumoconiaosis (black lung). It is devastating. But more people die of cigarette smoking. That is smoke that people are putting into the air every day and you breathe that. Do something about that! More people have died from second hand cigarette smoke than mine lung diseases. No, you think about what you said. You want to shut them down and we have no viable way of producing what they do for us today. FACT! We do that and then we go buy coal from other coal producing countries? Nothing gained by that. We haven't stopped using horses and buggies. The Amish are doing quite well. They have very little illness with their way of life. If you are a scientist, then tell me when our fossil fuels will be completely depleted. Don't support an electric car that still have to depend on fossil fuels to get going. This accomplishes nothing. Invent something that does not use fossil fuels at all. Then you are doing something for the environment and everyone on the planet. This is not correct. Check you numbers again. This not viable option is used consistently by the Amish. It overlaps. The waste from animals is put back on the pastures to grow food crops and there is no waste at all. I guess you are going to tell me next that the animal farts need to stop, that they are polluting your clean air.
  2. I can tell by talking to you that you know nothing about fossil fuels. Nuclear is here to stay, they are not going to get rid of it. It is buried in barrels in the ocean, in the ground. It is much more powerful than any fossil fuel. It stays with us for millions of years. Eventually there won't be anyplace to hide anymore of it. You had no answer for this VERY BIG PROBLEM! You had no answer as to what we should do with the nuclear waste. You are not very informed about organics. Not everyone can afford organics, but then you could care less about those people. I am not lying. I know how shutting down the mines hurt many people that made their living from them. No one cared that people had no way to feed their families. Yes the push for going GREEN as they say has caused thousands of people to lose their jobs. The pipeline in the US was shut down. Immediately over a hundred thousand jobs were cut. People lost homes and businesses. But Who cares as long as we are going Nuclear and can breathe. Doesn't matter that we get cancer and suffer for months or years. It is nice that you can afford not to be affected by the going GREEN IGNORANCE SYNDROME. Do your homework, read about the products that are made from fossil fuels, if you care to. Otherwise, the best answer to your thinking is to go back to the Amish way of life. They do not use electricity and horse and buggy is their main mode of transportation. That way no one is digging and dying to get your Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel. If you care so much about the environment, then stop the fossil fuel stations that recharge the electric cars. Let's go back to horse and buggy only.
  3. I totally disagree with you. Yes, many coal mines were shut down from 2009 to 2014. I know I am from a state that was devastated by this move. We were going overseas to buy coal. Look it up! In order to make the batteries for the electric cars, you have to mine for the lithium, cobalt, and nickel and are all mined by children who will probably never see adulthood. Children! In order to make the giant wind turbines that are being pushed in the United States right now, it takes 250 tons of coke (which comes from coal) and around 300 tons of steel. They were totally unusable this past winter in Texas, because the ice storms rendered them frozen in place. Coal has been with us for over 200 years. Children and adult cancer has more than doubled in recent years. You should be checking on the barrels of Uranium waste that are dumped in the ocean and put in pits. This is more hazardous than coal. Also the chemical spraying of our food is destroying our bodies. More and stronger chemicals are being produced. Also no one knows what to do with the nuclear waste (radioactive water, uranium rods) that are taken out of the nuclear power plants. This radioactive water will be active for millions of years. Point in case-Madam Curie (a scientist who experimented with uranium) died from cancer. Her workstation and tools are still radioactive 100 years later and are kept in lead lined boxes in a basement. Even her cookbooks are still radioactive. We have been playing with fire. We are not technically advanced enough to go green totally. Hi Newsmaker, really like the unicorn thing. Made my day! LOL
  4. Well, it is true if you or anyone else is lucky enough to snag a senate seat or House seat then you have hit the lottery. The biggest problem we have now and in the past 60 years is that there are no morals and the rules do not apply equally to all of us. I have a friend that wants to shut down every coal mines in the country. She says there is way too much pollution from them and too many people are dying from working in the mines. I told her I hope she is ready to do without some very important products in her life. I agree that a lot of people have died from working there, but they know what can happen when they decide to take on that type of job. However, I told her that her battery operated car that she is so proud of, because she is not polluting, is killing many young children that work in the lithium mines which is one of the minerals that is used to power her car. I haven't heard from her in several weeks. Wonder if I opened anyones eyes?
  5. This is a hard one, but no I think there are some good ones out there. Granted you have to be wealthy or know someone that is going to back you to even run for a political position. Every job or political position has rules and some people cheat and break the rules or bend them and don't get caught. Then again some do get caught and nothing happens, but we are forced to live with preferential treatment sometimes. Don't you think? Yes, I think we should be using more solar, but right now I do not think we can totally cut out fossil fuels. We just aren't technologically advanced enough to stop producing them. There are so many bi-products made from coal, gas, and oil. Of course, I wish we would go back to glass, instead of plastics, but that probably won't happen.
  6. Newsmaker, you just opened a can of worms, if anyone wants to rant, but I won't.
  7. Everyone needs a break sometime. You can't work 24/7 and expect to give good customer service. It has been proven that people that take breaks from work, not long ones but for instance one day a week to take care of things they want to do or need to do. Never force yourself to work day and night constantly. Burnout is very hard to get over. I should know after having 2 jobs and family things to contend with.
  8. I noticed that there are a few people that are actually advertising their services on BR. Is this allowed?
  9. Hi Newsmaker, If I am not following you, I am going to start today. You always have a great way of translating!
  10. I had a similar order and it dragged on for almost a month. I texted him every day and no answer. I contacted Customer Service and asked to cancel so I could move on and not worry about it anymore. Not sure if you want that. I had it cancelled and it did not hurt my ratings. They (CS) saw that I was trying to complete the order.
  11. This might work, but since he has already gotten a warning it might just get him in more hot water. I think sometimes it depends on who you happen to get in customer service. It has been my experience that some people there are very understanding and others do not tolerate anything. I kind of just let the sleeping bears alone, if you know what I mean.
  12. I think this is eventually called, "Burnout". You cannot stay online all the time, every time there is a new Buyer Request offer.. Just check it often. That is what I do when I am at work or taking care of my second job.
  13. You need to visit the Buyers Request section. You will get work from there sometimes. You need to learn how to market yourself, social media, etc. Fiverr cannot give you work all the time. There are a lot of people on here working toward the same goal, remember that. So you have to learn marketing. Go to your library and read as much as you can about it.
  14. Hey Newmaker, I didn't know that people on here actually tried to get work from others offering the same service. Do you get this often?
  15. So sorry for your situation. When leaders decide to do something, sometimes innocent people are caught in the middle as my brother was. He fought in 2 wars and died 4 years ago. If leaders of countries had to fight in the wars, I think their attitude about negotiations would change very quickly. I hope how soon this situation is over and things get back to normal. Although for some it will never be normal again. I hope that something can be done for people in your situation; so they can continue to work on this platform.
  16. I checked the page that explains briefs and decided that I would let the sleeping volcano erupt on someone else and see what happens.
  17. Thank you so much for this information, Newsmaker! I thought about changing, but probably would have asked about support. You have saved me a lot of time researching though.
  18. You are too much, Sir Newsmaker!
  19. I have gotten some good jobs on BR and some were high paying jobs. The work was very good. I don't apply to all of them, just ones that I feel fit me and my delivery style. Which is why I probably don't have as many reviews as other people here full time. I have a job and I am a caregiver. I am so busy sometimes. I just hope I can hold on till this job gets better.
  20. The problem is that you don't know a lot of these people on BR until they have already ordered. They should have to list their name like it is on Fiverr.
  21. I went back on my orders and I encountered this guy before. He could be the second order and just under another name. I will have to cancel two orders which will really affect my account, but probably better than getting a bad review. I do know that you are an independent here. I just wanted to get some insight into what my options were. You have been around for awhile and probably know more about what happens. Thank you and I appreciate it.
  22. I am part time on here. I only have 60 jobs completed and 40 reviews with a 5 star rating. Can you tell me what will happen with this? I am close to becoming a level 2 seller. Will this totally stop that?
  23. When he placed the order, there was no script. I had to send a reminder and then a text. He finally sent the script but was very vague about how he wanted the audio delivered. I have questions that are required to be answered. He would only say that it was for a fundraiser. Would not specify if he wanted it delivered with urgency, powerful, friendly, etc. I repeatedly asked for more information as to how he wanted the audio to sound and other important audio questions. He never would answer. I delivered in less than 12 hours. and did not hear from him until 48 hours later. He rejected the job and when I asked what the revisions were, he told me he would let me know in a couple of hours. I have texted him several times and no answer from him. The order started on the 17th and I delivered in less than 12 hours. He waited until the 20th to reject it. But has never given me any revisions. Will not talk to me. This morning I got an offer from someone in Nigeria, and again no script. I have sent a reminder and still no response. I am just wondering if this is a bad joke or is someone grinding an axe? Then again maybe I am being paranoid. At 3:49 am this morning I told the first problem child that I was going to hand this over to Customer Service. He quickly answered and said that he still had to talk to his customer and had to pay $3 to get more information. Which doesn't make sense. What to do? The job now says 4 days late, which doesn't mean anything, but I would love to get this off my back and just move on. Thanking you in advance for any advice.
  24. Hi, I only have 40 reviews and a 5 star rating. I have finished 60 jobs. I work full time and hope one day to be able to quit my job and do this full time. Which is best for me? Cancelling the job or taking a bad review? Can you give me a scenario? Thanks in advance.
