You can't judge all people here on the forum by how many reviews they have versus someone that asks for reviews. I work full time and can't be on here full time. I have a family member that I am a caregiver to. I work on here as much as I can. When I am at work, I apply for jobs on the BR, on my breaks only. I don't apply for jobs that have a request to be done in a few hours. Please don't lump all of us in together. Each person has their own work schedule and there are a lot of part timers on here that cannot be on here 24/7. I would love to quit my job and work here full time, but right now I have to pay my bills.

When Fiverr says, "Don't do it", then you probably shouldn't do it. But that doesn't stop some people. I do not ask for one and I have a lot of buyers that did not leave a review. At least the one I can see, I am not sure about the secret reviews. I hope we get some comments from people that have asked for reviews and if they got any warnings.

I think this is a very valid and important question. If the owner of the Fiverr site dies and there are other people working with this person, then how do they resume the site? I believe this would be a good question for customer service. I would assume that everyone involved with this site has the password. But I've been told never assume anything. If everyone involved has a password, then I don't see why they all couldn't just continue the service.

This platform is not for getting orders. It is to help buyers and sellers about do's and don'ts. If you visit regularly, you will learn. You just have to be consistent and read the many topics provided. This forum will save you time and trouble.

I am glad that this attitude toward your work has been successful for you. I just wish that everyone felt and acted the same way. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world.

I agree with the things Frank said. There are people, like me for example, that work mostly on Fiverr. I am here around 12-15 hours a day, so obviously it can be hard to get traction against people that are doing this full time. That being said, you will eventually receive exposure and orders, it all comes down to being resilient. Switching to Fiverr full time now, during the pandemic, can be hard since the number of users is doubled, tripled or even quadroupled in some categories. Yet it can still work as a side business. But you can’t expect growth and exposure similar to what Fiverr veterans have. I do wish you all the best with your side business here. Sorry you feel that way.

You have to get the last word in, I guess. You refuse to recognize any problems here. That is your problem and eventually it will surface. I will not let the truth lie in the bottom. Eventually, it all comes out. You enjoy yours and have a great year.

Telling me if I am not on here more, when that is impossible right now is a criticism. Also there are gatekeepers here. So please do not insult our intelligence about that.

I agree with you and it is true that some people have better rankings than others. I have had people tell me if you are on the first page, then you are just about guaranteed to get plenty of buyers. Their sales seem to prove that.

I don’t want to belabor the point. I have invested in this platform. I have put in almost 10 replies to buyers requests every day. Some days not anywhere near as many. I could not afford to put my profile on pay to play sites. Simple fact. When I can, I buy the classes that Fiverr offers. You asked for facts and I am going to give you one. You can choose to believe it or not. I was told to get on Fiverr and eventually I would be able to quit my job and do this full time. I do not see that in the near future. I actually tried to get on Fiverr in July of 2018. When I first put my profile on the site, then the very next day it was gone. All information was deleted. I did this I know at least 40 times or more. I asked the people at Fiverr if there was something wrong with their site. They kept telling me every day that it was on my end. There was nothing wrong on their end. This was a lie. My profile was deleted probably 40 times or more. This actually happened to me. I got an IT Tech to check my computer, which cost me quite a bit of money. He told me that there was nothing wrong with my computer or my internet connection. This is fact. It happened to me on here. I waited a year and tried again. This time they let me on. I don’t know what was wrong with their platform at that time, but it would not let me on. I guess I should have taken a hint. This is poor treatment. If they were not letting anymore people on at that time, they should have told me so. This is not a complaint; this is fact, but you call it the way you want to. I wonder how many people have gone through this besides me. There are a lot of people that built their business from being on here part time. I think the terms have changed for Fiverr. I don’t think they want part timers anymore. Also I have put my gig on social media and tried to promote Fiverr in that way. I have been on here every day for almost two years and I mean every day. So please do not criticize what I am doing because I can’t be on here all the time. There have been unfair circumstances and you do not want to admit that. I know this to be true because the people at Fiverr would not admit there was a problem. Maybe they were having a problem with their software or too many trying to get on here at the same time. I don’t know, but they are not very considerate about telling the truth. If you want to see the messages that I got from them, then I can provide them for proof. Thank you, and have a great year.

There are a lot of people that have been on Fiverr as a side business. But if you have figured out the system then that is great. Kudos to you. I have been offered a very good deal and I am taking it. I will keep my profile on here and still answer any buyers. It does make it hard when you can’t do it full time, but that is part of life. What you have to do and what time you have left to do the rest. We all cannot stop what we are forced to do to live and be on here 24/7. Glad that you could.

No they don’t. Your price differentiates the clientele you get access to. People that want a very complex project don’t choose $5 sellers for that. And if you set a huge price, then someone with a budget of $10, $20 won’t contact you. As far as I am aware, it’s more common sense than any algorithm. No one is living in any bubble… Some people like @frank_d just have a lot of experience in their field and they can charge more. They also have the portfolio to back it up. There was an user recently that had 0 reviews and he was here for less than a month, and without any portfolio he was asking $100+ for his gigs. Social proofing is what matters here. I am not on here most of the day because of work. I apply to jobs on the request page every day. I was told to start out with $5. That is what I did and being on the last pages doesn’t get me seen very much. That has beent he way it has been for me and I do have some experience.

I guess the pages 1 through 20 or 30 that people are listed on do not matter.

I don’t really see a fact. I see a generic claim. Once again I am not able to understand what it is you are talking about. How are you “granted access” to the “best buyers”? By bringing them to Fiverr on your own? Fiverr then rewards you somehow? Well, you must be living in a bubble. People on different levels get access to different clientele.

You don’t get what I am saying. Once you bring in your buyers and they see what you have done and can do, then you move up the ladder to level one, level two, level three. You are granted access to better buyers on this platform and they are regulars from around the world. They don’t care to spend for example $300, $500 for a product or whatever you are selling.

I am happy to disagree and that is fine. Fact: selllers have brought in big names and profitted heavily on Fiverr. Who cares about the 20%, when you are granted access to the best buyers and I do mean access. Not all of us get access to the same buyers, period. That is not hard to figure out.

I did not say that I was doing it. I know people have done it and Fiverr loved it. I have other responsiblities besides a full time job and I am only a level one seller. Fiverr wants the big names, that is evident.

I politely disagree with your observation. Fiverr is constantly telling us to promote ourselves on other sites. I know people that have brought Big Names to Fiverr and got TRS very quickly.

I believe the formula that you have is somewhat true, however I think the buyers you bring in should be in there somewhere. Advertising is a must. Makes it hard for the people that are working a full time job or other responsiblities to actually promote their gig and be there constantly for service on demand. This big change might be more money for Fiverr. It definitely may weed out the people that are not really trying to build up an income here.
