  1. @Kesha Is this graphic accurate, in the sense that answering 'exceptional' to both of the multiple choice questions only results in a 4.5 star rating? Also: Can you elaborate a bit on how this new rating system is going to help with either of these ideas? Thanks!
  2. @Kesha Is there still going to be a private review system that we have no insight into and will it continue to carry more weight than the public reviews?
  3. Interesting. My commercial and broadcast rights don't have the 1 year thing yet, so they must be rolling out the changes piecemeal. Frustrating that the live direction thing was enabled for me, but I'm glad to hear I was the only one (so far anyway).
  4. The only reason I even know it exists is because someone just placed an order and added it. And of course, because it was added to my gig extras without my knowing... and it's enabled... it was free to add because I hadn't set a price. Setting aside the fact that directed reads are something you have to be set up to do effectively, and even if I wanted to offer directed reads (which I don't), how the hell are we supposed to do that if we can't even communicate outside the platform?!?! Now I have to decide whether to disable it and disappear from search for two days because I edited my gig, or roll the dice and hope no one else adds it to an order until the weekend when I don't mind disappearing from search. I swear to God, circus animals are in charge of making these decisions.
  5. If by 'more qualified customer traffic' he actually meant 'a third of the impressions you used to get' then I'd say he delivered in spades.
  6. Just received a custom order request from a returning client that had a text doc attached within the form. I couldn't click on it to open or download it on any device (iphone, mac, pc). Had them upload the doc again outside of the custom order request form (so as a normal inbox message) and it worked fine. Also, if I try to view conversation history with any other open order I currently have, they come up blank in Inbox. Usually you'd see the whole conversation history you've ever had with that client. Along with those two issues, the long standing message indicator bug is still there, all the freakin' time. It keeps telling me I have an unread message in Inbox when I don't have any messages in Inbox, but hey - I'm learning to live with that one. (I have zero confidence they'll ever fix it, anyway) Anyone else seeing this?
  7. As of now, this thread is 10 pages long, with about one page of comments from people who actually read the stupid article, and 4 or 5 pages of "great job happy time thanks" replies mixed in with 4 or 5 pages of ChatGPT. I need a drink.
  8. Pages (if you don't already know) is Apple's own proprietary word doc format. They're mildly annoying if you're not on Mac, as you can't open them on a Windows device. I have a bookmark to CloudConvert for this very reason. 🙂 DOCX files are suppose to be a more open and 'accessible' word doc format, as it uses OpenXML to store all the info, but in my experience that leads to all sorts of weird behavior on the receiving end. I've been sent DOCX files that open fine, some that open blank, some that open in what looks like alien formatting, etc. The upside to them is that they're usually easy to edit as is, unlike a lot of PDFs. It could just be that Fiverr's scanning tool takes its sweet time combing through the doc, so if you're worried about safety, maybe just give it a bit of time before opening.
  9. IIRC, any orders placed by the same buyer within a 30 day window of the first promoted order are also considered to be 'promoted', even though at that point they (arguably) are not anymore, they're just now repeat buyers. Fiverr chooses to split hairs there, presumably because it's more $$$ for them, and it makes the program look more fruitful than it otherwise might.
  10. Sadly, I never got the chance, but something tells me he would have tried to pay in Monopoly money. Dude had a handful of reviews as a buyer and he'd been around since 2015, so not a school kid, I don't think, but yeah - I just want to know the story there.
  11. But you are trying to avoid them, and for good reason it seems. That's the whole point of blocking someone.
  12. Why? Why on earth would you still want to talk to these people?
  13. Bottom line is that no amount of AI is ever going to be able to fix the phenomena of people asking for $1000 worth of work for $12. Briefs are probably as good as their ever going to get, sadly.
  14. You'd think by now they'd have set up some sort of alarm to flag words like 'telegram' or 'whatsapp'. I mean, come on - how many legitimate briefs could you be in danger of accidentally flagging by keeping an eye out for words like that? I will say though, the brief I got yesterday was an all time fav - A guy is convinced someone is going around and talking dirt about him to colleagues and potential employers, and so he wanted to hire 'an actor' to make phone calls and pretend to be a potential employer who is checking references. He wants to see who says bad stuff about him. Unbelievable.
  15. Out of the hundred(ish) briefs I've received, not a single one has contained enough information for me to feel confident in just writing up a quote on the spot, which - correct me if I'm wrong here - is the whole stupid point. I mean, you couldn't even message these buyers directly when they first launched the feature - that came later, and of the handful I have felt positively enough about to message, none have ever replied. At best, this feature would be a great way to open a dialog with a potential client, but since it's not designed with that in mind, it doesn't seem to serve anyone particularly well.
  16. What happened to all the threads about NEO? They've all vanished.
  17. If we're going to do this can it please be taller? It's near impossible to find a picture that makes sense in a crop that wide but also that short.
  18. Knock on wood, I've never had a need for something like this but I have had plenty of times where someone purchased revisions ahead of actually needing them, and then didn't actually ask for one. (because I'm awesome) Every time it happens I wait for the message saying 'hey can I have my $50 back?' but it hasn't happened yet. 🙂
  19. So what did they have to say about all that? It's a nice list of things to be discussed, but did they actually have answers or was this just suppose to be one of those 'tell us your thoughts and we'll get back to ya' sort of meetings?
  20. One review, that occurs at the time of accepting the delivery and closing the order. A simple check box that allows you to make the review public if you want to. Regardless of which you choose, the review counts the same. If you don't close the order and it auto-completes, there is no review. Period. That's it. No follow up surveys with dumb terms like 'perfect' in them. No vague multiple choice emails a week later. One review, your choice as to whether or not it's seen by the seller, and it counts the same either way... and the best part - no unnecessarily hounding buyers and punishing sellers for things they can't control.
  21. Let's just say that I don't exactly have the greatest of confidence in their ability to make sweeping changes to how things work without royally screwing something up. Additionally, they're approaching google levels of wishwash in terms of new sites/products/ideas they launch and let wither on the vine. Business, Studios, Briefs, Togetherr... Looking at the list of affiliated businesses, half of them all seem to be doing the same thing Fiverr itself does, just each with little twist. I don't really get that.
  22. Not gonna lie - all this makes me veeeeery nervous.
