  1. Yeah, I mean... if those guys can get paid for "courses", I should probably make my own site and sell courses myself, as I'm 100% confident I'm much better than that entire team put together.
  2. ATTENTION: Go to this guys channel and check a few videos. He does these "live client communication" videos, where you can see his account and his communication with leads. Wanna know what's funny? He has a bunch of these videos, and in each one the seller account he is using is different. This guy has shown himself using dozens of different accounts. Wtf is this.
  3. Lmao wtf is this. Zero reviews, crap response rate, using google translator throughout the video to talk with clients (big oof), yet they have an active order of over $900. How? Highly suspicious. Why would anyone place such a big order on a profile like this? I call bs. Btw, I just checked the profile. The account is from October 2020, over one year ago. They have a single review, precisely for that order you can see above, delivered 8 months ago. That gig's pricing tops out at $270, so I have no idea where did he get $910. Or how he can get one order of over $900, get a five star review, and then get zero orders for almost a year. It makes no sense. They are gaming the system somehow, placing a dummy order just to impress viewers on the YouTube videos. It's the only logical explanation.
  4. Spain still got swindled out of Brasil in the treaty of Tordesilhas. Portugal won the discoveries (and also aljubarrota).
  5. Nope. It's because of the US cultural influence and because it's super easy to learn as a second language. English is very regular, words are genderless, verb tenses are extremely limited, it's phonetically easier than a lot of other languages, the writing system is simple (no accents on words, for example), etc. Britons, the most successful conquerors during the age of discovery? ahahahah (laughs in Portuguese).
  6. Grammarly is helpful if you just need a spell and grammar checker. The problem with most of the sellers you describe is that they just don't understand the language, and grammarly won't help with that. Grammarly can help you improve, but there has to be something there to improve in the first place. There's a big difference between dealing with a buyer/seller that has a few typos and unnatural sentences, but has a clear thought process and is able to communicate or dealing with a buyer/seller with totally indecipherable messages, even if they are grammatically correct and error free. So if you're at the point where grammarly would have a real impact, we're talking diminishing returns, you'll probably be "good enough" without it (unless you're offering writing services, but then you should already be pretty good at it anyway). Many of these sellers don't know how to think. That's the real problem. That they don't know how to think in English is just a corollary.
  7. CONGA RATS CONGO RATES CONGRESS ELATIONS CON GRATES CAN GROSS ERECTIONS
  8. Contact CS, explain exactly what happened, attach screenshots of the buyers profile and all conversation, and request for CS to cancel those orders without impacting your stats.
  9. Ahahah, you wish. English is super easy, there's a good reason it's the most widely spoken as a second language.
  10. Yes, there are stats that affect the search results - but those are stats that any seller is already trying to keep as high as possible anyway. Fiverr already rewards/punishes based on those metrics for deciding seller levels. What I mean is that there's no point to keep talking about "gig rank" when there's no specific actions you can or should take on that and there's a large randomness factor to it anyway. As a seller, there's nothing to do or worry about. Just keep your stats at 100%, but that's not a very useful tip.
  11. Big oof. They really should reword that. Rank is just a poor word choice. They clearly mean your position in the search results can and does change according to the algorithm and your account stats, but that's dynamic and involves gig rotation. Using the work "rank" is misleading, it implies you can achieve a certain fixed position, and retain it for as long as you can keep your stats and your competition not improve theirs. That's not the case. There's a big element of randomness to it - at least from a seller's point of view, since the search algorithm ranking criteria is private. People worrying about "gig rank" leads to what you see here everyday. They got rotated in, got a bunch of orders and good reviews, think they "ranked" their gig and then complain they are getting no impressions. They don't understand that happens to literally everyone periodically, because there's no fixed "gig rank". There's no steps you can take to ensure you're on the first page. "First place in Gig rank" is not equal to "most reviews with best average score", or "Best private feedback" or "Most $ made in 30 days" or "most orders delivered in 6 months". Those would be metrics that make sense if you'e Fiverr trying to show clients the "best gigs". But they are not what decides the "rank". "First place in Gig rank" is equal to... nothing in specific, it's impossible to tell. There are certain gigs appearing first in the "rank" that I guarantee are not even in top 10% of any of those metrics. So it's really pointless to talk about "ranking your gig".
  12. They just don't understand that there is no "gig rank". I don't even know where this talk about "gig rank" started, as if there is some leaderboard for gigs that you can climb. It doesn't exist. So it makes no sense to even talk about "ranking a gig". Ranking a gig in what ladder, exactly? They don't understand the algorithm. They need to take the red pill - It's not the spoon that bends, it is only you.
  13. Tim has no idea what he's talking about btw. It's just a bunch of misleading statements. The OP is correct.
  14. It's a manual process, they choose who to promote to TRS. The fact that you call it "batch" instead of "badge" does not play in your favor.
