10 Articles for $5?

I just visited the buyer requests session and I saw a request by a certain buyer. According to her, she needs 10 articles for $5. Is this for real???
I think Fiverr should stop approving such request. Who is with me on this?

$5 is worth a lot more in some parts of the world.
It’s the online equivalent of companies manufacturing in China, India etc.

With due respect, who decides a fair price for a job? You?
If someone is willing to do it, it’s up to him. If no one does it, the buyer will have to modify the terms of his conditions. It’s called “the market”.

Somebody would probably be willing to do it. Heck, I’d probably do it if I weren’t so stingy.

I think they should be able to request whatever they please. If there are people who work for a dollar per hour, so be it.

They can request anything they want. It’s up to the sellers who choose to make an offer on that request if it’s fine with them to work on 10 articles for $5. I think it’s pretty cheap of the buyer to do that and I don’t know how many sellers are sane enough to work at that rate, but ultimately it’s the choice of the people involved… So I think buyers requests like those are fine.

I think it’s crazy but I don’t have an issue with buyers asking. I’ve seen worse. I saw one recently asking for a 50 page ebook for $5 and in 24 hours. They had received 4 offers! I’d hate to try to read that ebook.

Its Depend on Sellers, Some sellers starting career and he/she offering very less price for work. so, its a normal if he/she provide 10 Articles is $5.

But most important thing is “Buyer Request” section is only for buyer request for services.

if any one advertise gigs in “Buyer Request” section then its against of rule.

The offers might have nothing to do with the request, though. For example they want ebook but get an offer for Facebook like.
I believe the crazier the request is, the more ridiculous the offers they’d receive.

i have to agree with everyone. The market is in control. If people are willing to do a ton of work for very little money, it’s their right. However, the market also corrects itself.People who do tons of work for nothing eventually get burned out and leave. Their work also tends to be sub par. Here is what I have learned. If you build a good reliable business and do good work, people will pay for it. I NEVER compete on price, that is always a losing proposition. I compete by giving better service than others. I promise you that there are many other sellers that sell the same services I sell, and a lot cheaper, yet my business is getting bigger and bigger. People eventually realize that finding a reliable partner is worth extra money.

I am a writer from the US and have been asked several times to write for ridiculously low prices like that. I wanted samples in a market I had not written for, so I accepted only $2.50 for one article. Every time I do that, I get treated very badly. I no longer do things like that. I get treated better when I write for free to get those same samples published. If you are a professional writer who writes as a career, I suggest you just write for free if you want to get published in a market that is hard to break into.

I think it’s a bit reasonable to offer 2 articles for $5 for those building their career instead of 10 articles. It’s too ridiculous.

Personally, I would not do it. After fiverr takes their cut it is 4 dollars. I understand prices are different in other parts of the world, but my electric bill is more than four dollars.

I think that depends on the person who is offering. Everyone has freedom to offer the service at the rate he/she decides.

The seller. Period. As long as there are sellers willing to do it (and nobody is forcing them to accept those terms) people will be there offering those gigs. If the terms are unacceptable to you, you simply may skip the offer.

Slavery is when you accept 10 articles for $5. Why not accept to write for free and get praised for a well-done job ? Duhh !!

That is not a good way to portray freedom of choice in accepting prices of jobs to be done. You make yourself look cheap. No expert writer will ever accept 10 articles for $5. Better to be done for free.

Maybe is a job for someone new on Fiverr to gain positivie reviews and the level 1. This will help them to increase their level and then also their prices.

When I began to work on Fiverr I was selling 1 minute video for just $5 and now I have increased the price to $100.

Who are we to decide, we are on a site that starts at $5. I see other sellers who will do anything for $1. It all boils down to what you are worth and what you will do for the price of the work advertised.

Not to worry, much friend. All you can do is don’t accept the offer, if you are not comfortable, simple. Someone who love to, would do for his/her own reason. cheer up.
