Parenthesis or Footnotes? What Kind of Person are You? (geuss which I am)

Totally stole this from the amazing Sarah Vowel, but I love this topic.



there are two ways to go on a tangent, either a parenthetical or a footnote. The parenthetical thinker tries to add more and more context and asides in their statement, till they become a cluttered mess.



The footnote thinker saves up a bunch of little factoids for the end, and they hope you’ll stay to see them, but they’ll understand if you have to leave early.
